I came to 18th and 21st for my birthday dinner with a couple of my girlfriends, and it was spectacular! When I tell you the service was amazing it really was ! My waitress was the kindest I've had, she was extremely attentive, helpful with suggestions, quick, and had the pianist sing me happy birthday. The food was excellent, and we were all more than satisfied.
Ambiance: low lighting but not so dark where you had to squint to speak to your neighbor, the art pieces were on point (just added to the personality of the space). They did a good job separating "cured" from 18th and 21st. Completely a different experience. Stay on the look out for the holiday envelopes they give out!
This was our second visit in the last 8 weeks. We enjoyed our meal. The desserts are just fair. Lovely ambience.
The service and food were wonderful.
Every part of our meal was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was knowledgeable, efficient, attentive and non-intrusive. How nice that they comped us a birthday dessert!
Simply amazing. Food/drinks were great, servers/bartenders were great, atmosphere was great, if you get the chance check it out!
Loved the speakeasy theme! Great music. Could be a touch liwer volume but could talk at a normal conversational kernel.
The food was outstanding and the service competent and friendly. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and about cuisine in general. I found the restaurant a bit chaotic, however. Perhaps eliminating a single table might create enough space for the servers to pass without being intrusive. Our table was near the bar, and the proximity of those standing at the bar didn’t conform to the price and excellence of the food.
Second visit and was not disappointed either time. Took friends to celebrate their anniversary and they were completely enthralled with the ambiance, drinks and food. Had a great time!😇
Great food and unique atmosphere. I HATE the unisex bathrooms, they are filthy. If you are going to have these types if bathrooms, you need to dedicate staff to keeping them clean all night long.
Anniversary dinner and it was amazing! Top notch service and food!
Excellent meal. Great food presentation, service and taste. Absolutely perfect. Don't miss this gem
This was our first visit to 18th & 21st, but it won't be our last. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and promptly taken to our table. The dining area is well decorated to set the tone for an elegant meal. The menu provides plenty of fresh and healthy options. Everything we ate, from appetizers to dessert, was delicious. Special recognition of the bartender too, who mixed some truly interesting and tasty cocktails. The gin and tonic was surprising in a good way, and the peaty Scotch cocktail (which we ordered basically out of curiosity) was also a tasty surprise. Thanks to Alissa our waitress for making the evening fun. Can't wait to go back and further explore the menu (and cocktail list).
The atmosphere is just right with a unique “speakeasy” vibe without the wood paneling and low ceilings. The food was excellent, the wine selection is top notch and the bar tenders are excellent and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful live music, that made it worth it. Otherwise food is a bit overpriced.
Great Ambiance, loved the live Jazz Music. The service was impeccable
The restaurant was great and our server Alyssa was the best and well prepared
It was a wonderful evening. The food was delicious. I especially loved the ambiance and live music—perfect.
We tried this because of the unique concept. We were not disappointed. Cat was our server and she made the experience. She made perfect recommendations and made sure we were happy with all the choices she recommended. The music was perfect and the food was great.
Everything from the ambiance to the food to the service was beyond my expectations. I can't wait to go back!
Art Deco vibe, great food, live music, great service
Visited 18th and 21st for my dad’s birthday and had a great time. Service was excellent and the food was well prepared. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the ambiance and the live music. Looking forward to my next visit!
My beautiful new bride and I had a wonderful 1st visit to this restaurant and totally loved it! Everyone was so friendly and the food was outstanding. This is a great date night experience and we're so sorry we hadn't been here sooner. Well be back next week.
Great ambiance with piano playing, but still easy to talk at a table of four. Staff very helpful in selecting wine for the table. All four ordered different entries and all enjoyed them, although the swordfish might have been cooked a bit less. Already planning to bring special out-of-town visitors there over the holidays.
After having a problem with the food the last time that we were there, the manager sent a voucher, and we decided to try it again. There were two specials: lamb loin and swordfish. I selected the swordfish and my wife the lamb. The swordfish was so overly cooked that it was inedible, and when one of the managers asked about our food, I said that it was not cooked properly. They took it away and substituted a steak. My wife ate her lamb, but later said that it was not very good. This experience is quite disappointing since the decor of the restaurant is quite nice and our waitress, Alyssa, was superb. It is hard for me to understand how owners who have such a great reputation can provide food that is so awful.
Very good ambiance The music, The service, the dinning its very nice
Really cool atmosphere - prohibition era feel. The restaurant is in the back of Cured behind a closed door so it is more private. The food and service are both excellent.
Great supper club with live band. Very tastefully done.
This was our second visit and everything was great. The caesar salad was very big and excellent. The scallops, lamb chops and bronzino were all very well done and satisfying. The only complaint was that there could have been more sides with the bronzino.
The ambiance was fantastic, elegant and sophisticated. The food was deliciously.
The cocktails and atmosphere was great. However my steak wasn't good at all. I realize this isn't a steak restaurant but if you offer a steak it should be well seasoned and not served as a hunk of meat. I must say, Ive never tasted a flavorless ribeye. It was more of a NY strip....absolutely no flavor. No salt, pepper, butter, onions, garlic or anything. It was also served cold! Not hot. Not warm, but cold. I ordered a temperature of medium well and received a medium rare steak. That's a big difference. Luckily my husband switched dishes with me. His Coq au Vin was good and hot. We took half of the "NY strip" home to season and cook a little longer.
One of the items I ordered was never delivered (brussel sprouts, which are my favs). When I asked about the missing veggies, the waitress left the table, returned about 10 minutes later as if I never asked her a question. This was very frustrating. I won't go over the details of my melted ice cream dessert. I'm getting frustrated by reliving the experience of spending $220 on this "so-so" dinner.
I must say the live jazz ensemble will encourage me to come back, but not for dinner, just drinks. Maybe my missing brussel sprouts will be found next time.
We had a wonderful meal along with great entertainment. The piano music was a lovely addition to a delicious meal. I had the scallops & the crab and shrimp ceviche, both of which were divine. My husband had the pork and enjoyed it. We split the espresso cheesecake (yummy). We would definitely come back here!
We had an average experience and we certainly won't be back anytime soon. While the service started out very good, as the evening wore on, we were ignored for longer and longer periods of time. Our desserts took nearly an hour to come out and some were replaced with items we did not order because they "ran out" of what we had ordered. I'd have preferred they let us know so we could choose whether we still wanted the item or not (likely not after waiting for nearly an hour). By 8:00 on a Saturday night the place was only half full, yet we could not get a reservation for later than 8:00. Strange. Lastly, my party waited at the hostess stand for 5 minutes waiting for the hostess to get our coats. After being ignored by staff that didn't appear to be terribly busy, we went in the coat room and retrieved the coats ourselves. I'd like this place to be successful, but after seeing how empty it was by 8:30 on a Saturday night, I'm not hopeful.
Very enjoyable dinner. Food is good. It’s a little noisy even though we were seated in a quiet area. But it’s very full and a certain amount of noise is inevitable. We had a very enjoyable evening
A very welcome upscale dining venue for downtown Columbia Town Center!
Loved having parking available. Very nice decor somewhat loud would ask to be seated away from the bar. Waitress was not very good pushy to get our order ... hovering ...meals on table down hard
The food was very good. We ordered two cocktails and a glass of wine, bone marrow as an appetizer, filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes, a seafood stew, and bread pudding with ice cream. The bill was a little pricey ($148.00) but I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a fancy date night or special occasions. The other side of the restaurant "Cured" is more casual and more affordable.
Had the rockfish entree with the leeks and enjoyed it. Portion was ample. Ambience is lovely and the guitarists added to the atmosphere. The dessert, apple cobbler, was a disappointment. Would definitely return and hope the dessert has improved.
Stop reading and just book it. Food, drinks, parking and staff were all great.
This was our second time there. The oysters were excellent. My steak was well done instead of medium, and my wife's bronzino was not hot. Both were replaced, but the continuity of a nice dinner was upset.
