Everyone enjoyed their meal. Smoked prime rib, pork chop, branzino, and raves for the spinach and the asparagus.
Fantastic service, excellently prepared food and drinks, great for date nights and special occasions!
This place is fantastic! It’s my huband’s and my new favorite for fancy date nights or special occasions. It has a very chic atmosphere with a speakeasy vibe to it. The food and service are wonderful. Try the lobster bisque (If they have it; It was the soup du jour the evening we went.) the forest mushroom soup, and/or the rockfish entree and you will absolutely not be disappointed. I very rarely clean my plate when dining out, but here it’s just unavoidable. It’s THAT good.
My only complaints are the seating’s a bit cramped in the dining area where the bar is and it’s a tiny space, so on a busy night (as when we were there) it gets very noisy. On top of the general diners’ chatter there was live music, so conversing was a bit of a challenge. As such, not great for “getting to know you”-type dates but if you’ve been married awhile, by all means go for it. You can talk in the car. You’ll be too busy stuffing every last bit of food into your face to say anything, anyway.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is phenomenal. Both my husband and I have dined in gorgeous and high-end restaurants in this restaurant and overseas. The ambiance of this restaurant reminds me of those encounters. However, the food and portions leave a lot to be desired for the typical American palette.
Lobster Bruschetta - Would not recommend
Scallops - Recommend; delicious
German Chocolate Cake - Recommend; fantastic
Cocktail: Something Aviation - Would not recommend
My husband ate:
Macaroni and Cheese - Would not recommend
Rockfish and Asparagus - Recommend; good
Donut Bread Pudding - Recommend; delicious
Our server was friendly. The pianist was good. I wish there was a separate entrance for the 18th and 21st restaurant. You have to walk through the Cured Restaurant to get to the finer dining establishment.
Exceptional experience! We all loved the music and especially John (aka Sinatra) the singer/entertainer extraordinaire!
Great service, food, music and ambiance. A fun night!
Our server Alyssa was wonderful. She's attentive, kind, and funny. We enjoyed having her. The food and drinks were great which paired well with the ambiance if the restaurant. We will definitely be visiting again.
Excellent venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. Would have liked to sit on the side of the restaurant without the band so that we could see them but otherwise a fantastic experience! We will be back!
Outstanding experience as always. We had the same server as our first visit and he is phenomenal. He provides great drink recommendations and has an awesome fork tie clip.
Valentine’s dinner - truly amazing experience. The food was exceptional -and the value for money incredible. Will def come back here - what a gem!
We loved our Valentine's Day dinner at 18th & 21st. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance and decor were Gatsby-esque. There was also a live jazz band playing, which added to the experience. We plan to bring friends and family soon!
Staff was great. Attentive and welcoming. Music was good. Good flavorful. Overall good experience.
Great food,service and atmosphere
Highly recommend! Meals were fabulous and of good value for the price point. However, none of us were pleased or impressed with the desserts we had, which were all below satisfactory. Next time will forego the desserts.
2nd time at 18th another favorite.
Great dining experience. Food was delicious. Service was impeccable. The acoustics allowed us to enjoy the live music without it interfering with our conversation. Would definitely go back.
Loved the ambiance, the atmosphere was amazing and I can't wait to go back. The service was friendly and responsive and food was delish! Really felt like we were being ushered in to a speakeasy...Was all around GREAT!
I’m vegetarian and was concerned that there were not many vegetarian options on the menu. When I asked the server about this, she told me that they could take any of the dishes and modify them for me. I had the lamb dish but substituted the lamb with jackfruit. It came with risotto and grilled brussel sprouts. I added some roasted beets. They charged me less since I didn’t get the lamb. It all was delicious. The service was wonderful. We really enjoyed the wine suggested by the sommelier. A great meal. I would go back again.
The food and music were excellent!! I had a great time!!
!! Found a gem in Columbia! Impeccable service by Michael, creative drinks, delicious food! Wonderful all around dining and will definitely return!
First time dining here, though I'd been eyeing it for a while. Had fairly high expectations from just looking over their web site, and they exceeded those. The drinks were fantastic, as you would expect from the name. The food was also brilliant. The dining room was very well designed, and felt incredibly comfortable. Even though we sat right by the band, the nose level never rose to an uncomfortable level. Even with all of that, the service might have been the best part. Before leaving, we made reservations to go back next week.
We had a wonderful experience dining at 18th and 21st. This was partly due to the very good food but also to the excellent waitress Alyssa. She helped us pick the right selections for us but also shared with us her experiences when traveling recently in Portugal, a country we are planning to visit this spring. It was a delightful evening.
Beautiful space, nice live music, service good.
Alas, food not up to measure - maybe in 6 months? Dishes were seriously over salted. Hamburger was inedible - a rubbery hockey puck? Lobster bisque had no lobster flavor - tasted like over salted puréed white bean soup. Scallops not super fresh, salty but edible. Pork belly accompaniment was so hard it was not chewable, plus so-o-o salty.
Lamb was very good. White Wine selection is limited.
I would absolutely recommend 18th & 21st. It was a delightful evening in every respect.
Excellent waitress great drinks nice choices for menu and love the live jazz.
Although Cured has become a favorite, this was our first time at 18th and 21st, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. Drink selection is very good—I love the smoked old fashioned and my husband enjoyed what may be the only Vieux Carre he’s had outside New Orleans. The shrimp cocktail came with a smoky bbq sauce that was different but a perfect accompaniment. The main course was excellent—I had the rockfish and my husband had a steak, which were both perfectly prepared, with simple but delicious sides. The ambiance was wonderful—the carpet keeps the noise somewhat subdued, so it’s lively but understated. The live pianist started while we were there, and was the perfect accompaniment—well done and enjoyable but quiet enough so as not to interrupt conversation at the table. This is a great place for a special meal while still feeling casual and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.
The personal attention paid to us on our most recent visit to this restaurant was just amazing.
Great place if a tad pricey
The food was okay - overpriced for what is was. Although service was excellent the speed was slow. There was one server for our section and she seemed swamped. Otherwise, the ambience is nice. We especially enjoyed the live music.
The ambiance was very beautiful and much like a speak easy. The food and drinks were superb as well as the attention to detail by the servers.
This place is beautiful, the food is not good, too salty and greasy. the live music is nice but too loud
Loved the atmosphere! It was a perfect place for date night!! Food and drinks were amazing too. We will be going back!
Our 1st time here, the entrance is odd with the Cured area in front. Signage or staff awareness would help. 18th & 21st area is nice and comfortable. Live music was good and the food. Was super.
I didn’t enjoy the food that much, I enjoy the food offered at cured a little more. The service and ambiance was really great though so I’ll come back to the restaurant and try another dish there.
I was very happy with the overall look of this restaurant it also made me feel like I was in an upscale Hotel restaurant
Fun new restaurant. No problem parking. Great food and fun drinks!
After the mediocre experience at Cured, we decided to try the back restaurant. Very glad we did. The ambiance, food, and service were fantastic. The chef made me something special, since I didn’t want potatoes with my squash. He did this without even my asking. What a great surprise. Kudos to Catherine, our server, too.
Based on reviews of 18th and 21st we booked a table to celebrate our anniversary. Terrific decision, the staff, food, and ambiance were really wonderful. The live jazz ensemble, attentive staff, and thoughtfully prepared food were wonderful, the bartender was poetry in motion, we enjoyed watching him work his magic mixing tasty concoctions from the unique/period cocktail menu.
Loved it! Music was great, food always terrific. Just love the vibe!!
