Chef Ryne Harwick will have an abundant selection of traditional holiday and brunch favorites. Regular menu will not be available. Adults $66.95, Children 6-12 years $22.95, and Children 5 and younger are complimentary. Price includes coffee, tea, champagne, and milk for children. Tax and gratuity not included. Parties of 11 or more may be seated at multiple tables. Parties larger than 14 guests will be seated at multiple tables close to each other. Parties of 8 or more will have a 21% gratuity added to their bill.

OUR TABLE WAS READY. IT WAS VERY CLEAN EVERYWHERE I LOOKED. OUR WAITRESS WAS KIND AND HELPFUL. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. OH YES, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. I'M GOING BACK!

I booked the igloo experience for $75 and called and spoke with a host who advised that that $75 would be subtracted from the final bill. Well that wasn’t the case and the manager Josh did not take accountability for his hostess giving misinformation. Also the rigatoni had to be sent back because it was cold and after it was sent back to be reheated, the garlic bread was overcooked. The potatoes were barely warm. Also, the manager Josh was very condescending when addressed about the misinformation given by the host. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We loved everything about our "adventure" in the Igloo, from the food, to the service, to the fabulous ambience. We will definitely do it again soon!

Restaurant was out of the appetizer and soup I ordered. Service was so so. Had to ask for water multiple times. Wouldn’t see her for some time throughout the meal. My husband enjoyed the Ribeye.

Commented to my husband the turkey seemed under cooked. My son, husband, and myself were all sick early the next am. If it wasn't the turkey...something made us ill.

We were very pleased with our dining experience at 1878 Lake Lawn. The buffet was amazing with all very delicious food. The staff was excellent and the coordination for the event was great. We have been telling everyone we know about how great this dinner experience was on Thanksgiving.

Definitely all about the food for Thanksgiving. There were many options, and the food was set up well with a good flow for a buffet. The salad bar had the perfect spread without a lot of weird extras to fill the space. The garlic mashed potatoes and stuffing were amazing. Also liked there were a few different options besides turkey. Best of all, the desserts were delicious, half the time they look great but taste like cardboard! Overall , great meal.

I have to admit that we were rather disappointed with the Thanksgiving experience. There was zero mention of mobility requirements at the time of booking. Our party included seniors with mobility issues and our table was seated in the back, away from the buffet, and up several sets of stairs that were both awkward and hard to see. I wish this was mentioned ahead of time or I wish we were given the option to switch. The food was also pretty basic; not what we were expecting for the price. Our table, the time of our reservation, and the quality of our food should have all been offered at a discount price honestly. So disappointing and subpar compared to our other experiences.

Very expensive for a self service buffet. Food was great, service was not - dirty plates were not removed promptly and beverages were not refilled without asking. Adding the tip to the bill makes the service level moot and it showed. The view out the window was mostly the crummy looking rooftop of the adjacent building. All in all I don't think it was worth the price.

The experience was great for the most part....we had requested a window table for the view when we made the reservation and additionally when we checked in...but.....we were seated at a table across from the empty table by the window??? You would think for the price they would have accommodated???

Love this tradition. Ambiance is great! Drinks are amazing. Desserts great. Food was sub-par. Expected a little more variety and the quality was just so-so.

What happened to tablecloths and full array of silverware? It is after all Thanksgiving, national holiday, not another Wisconsin supper club. We were hoping for more "formal" ambience. We experienced this several years ago when we had Thanksgiving at Lake Lawn. Unfortunately, apparently people don't think the same, as witnessed the various types of clothing , blue jeans , casual clothes, hoodies, etc. We are not snobs, just 70 somethings who enjoy a nice dinner out at a classy restaurant.

We had reservations for 3 for Thanksgiving dinner buffet. Our first contact was at the check in desk and the young girl seemed to be overwhelmed. We were seated and told our server would be right with us. She came after a few minutes and got us drinks, iced tea with little ice. I had to ask how the buffet worked. It was spread throughout with no explanation. We got our salad, then turkey with sides, then desserts. We had to ask 3 times for our used plates to be cleared. We had to ask for drink refills. Coming back we saw our server eating at a drink station once and on her phone another time. The food was fine. My husband really liked the turkey and yams. But it was clear our server didn’t want to be there. The service at the tables next to us was great.

We very much enjoyed our Thanksgiving buffet at 1878. Our table had a lovely view of Lake Delevan!! Our server, Connor, was attentive and helpful. The food was traditional Thanksgiving fare and done very well!! If we find we are on our own again next Thanksgiving we would definitely come back!

For $60, I expected better quality - even from a buffet. The people were great! I can’t say enough about the servers and those at the food stations. The food quality was lacking. The turkey was pulled apart at the carving station, not carved even when I asked. The gravy was very watery - really almost more like soup. The mashed potatoes tasted of sterno. The Mac and cheese was really good, though, as was the dressing (after moistening it up with the turkey soup - I mean gravy. The dessert choices were plentiful but still a bit strange in the quality department. Several were served in plastic cups a la Golden Corral. Again, for $60 plus drinks (even coffee and non-alcoholic), I expected more.

We totally enjoyed our total experience. The food was perfectly prepared and presented. Very happy with the service. We had a large group, we never felt rushed or forgotten. We give our Thanksgiving gathering a 100% positive. Thank you!

Our two guests got help up in traffic, so we were able to push back our reservation time to just about the time they arrived, which was amazing on this busiest of holidays. And we got a table with a great Lake view.

1878 on The Lake is gorgeous. Loved the ambiance and the lake views. I highly commend the staff and how well the whole buffet was organized. Gracious, friendly, clean, elegant and the food was phenomenal! I highly recommend this place. We definitely will be back.

Food was amazing. I ordered a dip for an appetizer that only came with a few chips, so I requested more. Despite there not being enough chips to eat even half the dip, I was charged about 1/3 of the price of the appetizer when I requested more. Absolutely ridiculous. We loved the food and ambiance but this additional, unnecessary cost put a damper on the evening.

Josh, the host, was very insightful and polite, and explained the recent updating. The food we ordered was excellent, but like many places, perhaps a bit overpriced. At least there was no credit card "surcharge". Highly recommended; We will be back!

Rob was fabulous! Thank you very much. We really enjoyed our dinner and you took great care of us. Good communication, great service! The food is consistently delicious and the drinks are very, very tasty! We love the filthy old fashion and tonight I tried a pear mule-YUM! Every time we’ve had the salmon it has been incredible and I’m so appreciative to have gluten free options. We’ll be back for Thanksgiving!

The food was average at best. The soup was terribly salty and was sent back. The pork belly appetizers were brought to the table cold and once again the main flavor was salt. The so called "ribeye" for 55 dollars a piece was more like a cut for the roast. It didn't resemble a ribeye and had no marbling at all. The best part of the meal was the dessert which the best feature was not being salty. 270 dollars for poor quality food is unfortunate. I expected alot more from the "steakhouse" on the resort. The atmosphere was very noisy and not very intimate at all. There was a drunken group from a company event there which destroyed any ambiance the place hoped to provide. All around a lousy experience and not even remotely worth the money

Excellent view of the lake and atmosphere of the restaurant. Food was excellent, had a few bones in my walleye filet, planning on going back again for dinner! Was treated with a dessert for our anniversary.

Food was delicious and prepared to perfection. The presentation was excellent. Our waitress was awesome and very knowledgeable regarding the menu. we had a very enjoyable and relaxing evening. We will be back.

Me and my husband had the pleasure of dining for lunch recently. It was amazing! We had the brat bites for an appetizer, I had the meatloaf burger and my husband had the Ruben. Everything was so good, the environment was great and our server Derrick just made the experience even better! I got a picture of our appetizer but our food was so good I forgot to get a picture of that! Best place around!!!!

Very nice environment. The bar area was lovely and I think it would be a wonderful place for drinks and social time with friends. Dinner, however, was not good. Food quality was very poor and the temperatures of our meals were off. Food lacked flavor and didn’t match the menu description. We all ate very little and left hungry.

I was looking forward to dining at this on-site restaurant. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The risotto that came with both of our dinners was tasteless and the consistency of paste. Our dessert which was a crumble that was supposed to feature rhubarb had no rhubarb in it at all. It was all apple. Our server was kind, but the service was slow. For the price, I would not dine here again.

Wow. So we made a reservation and got seated relatively quickly. It took about 30 min to get our initial drink order, 50 min on top of that for our majorly overpriced meals. I had a $35 chicken dish that seemed fancy but was very bland, even w multiple ingredients. My husband had a $25 burger where the bun was stale and fries were average and sparse. He said a McD burger would have been better. It was sad. Multiple tables in our section had the same, extremely slow service and we were not comped for anything. My husband waited during his whole meal for a second refill on his pop, but it only came in time to get the check. Wow, again, this is not what we’re used to at even mid grade restaurants where we live. Time to step in and assist your staff if they’re falling so massively behind, and rethink your pricing!
