   The service was wonderful, but the food was just “ok”. My scallops were cooked well, but the polenta was clumpy and stodgy. My husband’s filet was not cooked as he requested and his garlic whipped potatoes were chunky with large pieces of undercooked potatoes. The flourless chocolate cake was very good. Overall, it was just ok.

   They did not have anything labeled for allergies for Easter brunch. My daughter is anaphylactic to nuts and found walnuts in the house salad. When I asked what else we should be careful with, they seemed bewildered. They later came back and relabeled the salad on the one side of the buffet but not on the other side of the buffet where they were serving the same salad. Meanwhile, people were using the same serving utensils for cheese and nuts and breads. In this day and age, I’m sorely disappointed. This place does not have their act together when it comes to allergies. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

   Here for Easter buffet. Every single piece of meat was dry. All desserts were overly sweet. Like toothache sweet. The whipped cream was really weird and looked and tasted like plastic. We would not do this one again.

   The food was delightful. Fresh, flavorful and a very good selections. Service was good as they were ready to remove plates and supply you with as much coffee as you requested without waiting. Only complaint was the price. I know it was a special occasion, Easter brunch, but by the time we received the bill for just the 2 dinners & 1 drink, came to almost $190. I ordered a bloody mary which was ok but the condiments were wilty, pickel soft, olive very sour with lots of ice in a tall glass. Somehow it was still warm. Since we don't drink mimosas, you would think 1 drink could have been included in the brunch. Also I know restaurants are starting to add gratuity to the bill automatically under the sub total but the way they presented the bill, they had an extra line for additional TIP! BTW where was our family photo?? We have gone to Lake Lawn Lodge for over 30 years but this was our first time at the brunch. Think next time I will just stay with the regular breakfast.

   Went for the Easter brunch buffet at 9:30am. I was stunned as how much the food was already overcooked and dried out. Chicken legs, halibut, kids pancakes, hash browns, short ribs, even the prime rib was dried out. No au jus in sight, just peppercorn semi glaze. Bacon had all the flavor deep fried right out of it. The presentation of the buffet was top notch. Fruit and yogurt station, charcuterie table, raw seafood and desserts were all displayed beautifully. There were some exceptional desserts and the croissants were excellent.
