The staff were wonderful and friendly. We celebrated a birthday and they made sure every detail was perfect. Food was delicious as well!
One of our favorite places to eat. The food was prepared perfectly and Ben our server was excellent.
We had a really lovely dinner and enjoyed the food and wine. The only downside was that our table was draughty and so I was a bit cold. Next time I’d ask for a table near the fire.
Aurora are lucky to have such a good restaurant and hotel.
What a great spot for a romantic anniversary dinner! Excellent service and food. We will be back.
Atmosphere really good. Food good. Had to wait an hour past our reservation time but didn’t mind because we were at the bar having a few really good drinks. Had breakfast the next day which was really nice. Will definitely be back.
Great food in an intimate setting and beautiful pre-sunset view.
Delicious and inventive food and excellent service. We are looking forward to our next visit. The
We had brunch this past weekend. The food was excellent, the selection was very good, and the wait-staff was attentive. Overall, a very good ding experience.
We've dined at the 1833 (formerly named Aurora Inn Restaurant) many times, and never have been disappointed. Nice wine list and a good selection of menu items. The chefs here know what they're doing in the kitchen.
Absolutely incredible food with a beautiful ambiance!!
Great location and only a 2 minute walk from the B&B! We had great meals and a really helpful waitress!
Very attentive. Good options to select from
The view from the dining room is beautiful.
The server was polite, made sure everything at our table was in order. The pancakes are phenomenal!
Delicious food, excellent view of Cayuga Lake, and great service.
Had an absolute wonderful time at brunch. Went with the in-laws -- it's their favorite place to go. Great food, great server, great ambience -- we enjoyed it tremendously.
The Aurora in is a beautifully restored old inn, and this restaurant is part of it. The room is beautiful and comfortable. There is a lovely outdoor area overlooking the lake, but since we were there at night in late October we obviously could not use it. Food was delicious, drinks were good, and service was friendly and efficient.
Everything was top notch. Intimate dining in a beautiful old inn. Great service and amazing food. Will be back!
Beautiful place, delicious food, great service, nice prices. We loved it and will definitely return.
Wonderful experience! Both Geace and chef Patrick treat you like friends while teaching you tips and tricks you can use in your own kitchen! Very fun, informative and delicious!
Very elegant and pleasant ambiance. Food was fantastic.
We really enjoyed our brunch! The atmosphere is so cozy and intimate - we sat nearby a fireplace in a private corner not surrounded by others and it was great. The food was also phenomenal - especially the home fried potatoes served with most of the breakfast dishes. Highly recommend! We did indicate on our reservation that it was my fiance's birthday, but nobody acknowledged that...that would be the only down side.
1833 is an absolute must if you are heading to Central NY. The Inn itself is beautiful, the bar area is great. Drinks and food were a delight...I highly recommend it...already planning our next visit!!!
Food was delicious perfectly portioned. We loved that wine was half off on Thursday! Would love to come back.
LOVE the bar renovation!!!😘
Ben led us to the sweet table for 2 right in front of the fireplace...and since it was a rainy chilly day, that was just perfect!!!😘
We had wine while enjoying the amazingly great seafood chowder and the burrata special—so good!!!
Then I had the scallop dish with that fabulous risotto...I think it was leek based?!
And my husband had the tenderloin...quite excellent!!!😘
I love the entire dining area!!! It’s cozy and gorgeous!!
And I’ve never had anything there that I didn’t love!!
Too full for dessert!!!😂
The food, ambiance, and wine selection were all spectacular. I would definitely recommend to a friend, and I hope to go back again!
Food was delicious. Very busy night should have had more servers. The creme brule custard could have been colder.
The atmosphere was great, wonderful food, great drinks. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. Our waitress was so-so and the staff at the front desk was almost comically rude. I didn’t say a word, but my husband also noticed. We laughed on the ride home about how rude the young ladies at the front desk were. They were almost sarcastic. We’re still pretty young, definitely not old and stuffy customers. Those girls really need a lesson in hospitality and manners.
Delicious, innovative food and great service! Loved it!
Great food, service and ambiance. Just 1 1/4 hours from Rochester.
Food and service was excellent!
Great food and service. Attractive and comfortable setting. Well done all!
The service was incredible and Tammy our server was a pro. Our meal from appetizer to main course was delicious. It was great way to celebrate a birthday! The only thing I'd change is for the restaurant to lose the canned and loud lame violin cover muzak.
Both the food and the setting were outstanding. From the appetizers to the main course the food left you wanting more. Krissy was our waitress and was both professional and personable. She explained everything well and gave us enough time and space that we didn’t feel rushed but we never had to find her to ask for something....she always sensed it and was right there
We had dinner and then breakfast at 1833 Kitchen & Bar. The meal was great, but it would be unfair to just consider the meal - as the restaurant is just one prong of a multi-faceted renovation and restoration project that is the Aurora Inn and its sister inns in the town of Aurora, all under common ownership. Each property is more meticulously restored and maintained than the next. A visit to Aurora would be a highlight of any trip you might be planning.
We enjoyed a very nice day in Aurora and we ate at the Inn. We were greeted warmly, felt very welcome and the hostess steered us to a cozy table for two. Our waitress was wonderful also. The only very small matter was the bar. We were there early and didn’t feel quite as welcome by the bartender but I realize not everyone is having a great day. It turned out fine.
Excellent food and service. We mentioned earlier in the day at the bar that we were celebrating my husbands retirement.. Later at dinner, the waitress showed up with a glass of champagne for e@ch of us to celebrate. Very thoughtful.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at the 1833 Kitchen & Bar. The ambiance and view of the grounds and lake were spectacular. The food and service were excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant dining experience on Lake Cayuga.
Wonderful meal from salad to dessert. Beautiful views of Cayuga Lake.
Very comfortable dining room. Welcoming staff and service. Flatware was placed directly on tabletop which was wiped off with same cloth used to wipe seats etc. . Straws for water were unwrapped and plastic(not paper) and handled by waitress. Great restaurant but needs to attend to possible unsanitary concerns.
