   We have eaten at 1816 several times and have had an enjoyable experience each time. This was no different. Food was excellent, service was superb, portions are ample, and a good time was had by all!

   My husband had the Smashburger and absolutely enjoyed every bite! I had the salmon and thought it was wonderful and prepared in a different manner than at most restaurants. It was excellent!

   Fantastic dinner last night at 1816. The tempura broccoli and fried green tomatoes were perfectly hot and crispy. Smoked pimento cheese is amazing with the FGT. Crispy skin chicken was juicy and paired perfectly with the sauce. Surf & turf special was fantastic too. Really, every dish we’ve had at 1816 has been excellent. Normally I find one dish I like and stick to it (pork belly) but here everything I’ve tried is a new favorite. Corydon is lucky to have this top notch eatery with a great team delivering excellent service. Be sure to make a reservation.

   Great food, service, and value. We all got the signature old fashioned, did not contain the Luxardo cherry in description but well-made and generous. Green chorizo eggroll app was a winner. The poutine with smoked pimento cheese was also well received by the table. Main dishes were venison and pork meatballs, Pork belly fried rice, double smash burger, and crispy chicken, listed in order of table favorites. All were very good. Server was spot on the whole meal. Very small dining area, reservations recommended.

   Valentine's Day Limited Menu would have been better if it had a Beef Entrée on it. Our seating location was not good at all. We had a very small table right at the entrance where the cold air was freezing my beautiful bride. Our Broccoli Appetizer was good (could have used a bit more of the goat cheese) and the sweet honey drizzle was delivered on the side per our request. The Monk fish dinner I had was wonderful, and my wonderful Valentine enjoyed her Pork Chop dinner. The Key Lime Pie was superb with bits of the Key Lime mixed in it. We will dine here again many times.

   It felt like a very uninviting town. Outsiders seem to not be welcome so that made going to this restaurant awkward for sure. The restaurant was just ok in and of itself. The food was expensive and wasn't worth almost $200. The drinks were watered down as well. The servers were friendly though and the restaurant looked very nice inside. I will say they only had a valentines menu that was not the food they regularly had on the menu. They also didn't post that they were changing the menu for valentines day so you didn't know of the price change or food options until you got there which wasn't great. The food they have on a normal day looked good and was priced accordingly though so I can''t speak to that. I saw a lot of people come in for their reservation or a walk-in, just to find out last second it was $150 with a set valentines day menu and then instantly leave. I probably should have done what they did in hind sight. Nothing against this restaurant, but mostly because the town was so uninviting to outsiders, I more than likely won't ever be back. I'm sure to others tho the normal menu might be worth it. Just don't go anywhere else in town and don't eat here on Valentines Day.
