   The best description of the service would be disjointed. It was as if the staff were not 100% sure of their roles and what their colleagues were doing. We booked for 5pm for a pre theatre meal. We were provided standard menus and had to request the pre theatre menu. Our order (drinks, starters and mains) was taken 30 minutes after we arrived. The starters then arrived before the drinks. The mains arrived before the starter plates were cleared away. One main meal was incorrect and that person had to wait 10 minutes for their food. We decided we would not have dessert but ordered a mix of hot and cold drinks. After 20 minutes we had to chase these up so we could get to the theatre. All food was enjoyed apart from one person who didn't care for the cheeseburger saying the meat didn't taste great. The staff were all polite despite the lack of co-ordination although the chap who received us on entry was, we felt, not that welcoming and looked quite stressed. We only interacted with him on one further occasion to chase up our drinks and he left us to chase the drinks before we had finished talking to him. The bill arrived and only the drinks had been charged for. I returned the bill for correction to get the food charges added ( the items were all listed but originally charged as £0.00).

   We had the Charcuterie board which was excellent and the house wine was very pleasant. We also were able to sit outside which is a great space with heating if required.

   I had the pre theatre set menu. Really good value compared to to other restaurants at similar level. Service was great. Shout out to Tuesday ( the waitress) We booked at 17:15 and were out by 18:40. It got busy at around 1800 so service might get slower then if you need to go to the theatre next door. Overall the food was good . I recommend this place .

   The atmosphere is classy but comfortable and the staff are friendly, attentive, and really go the extra mile to ensure you have a great experience. Definitely one of my go-to places—highly recommend! We ate in the grill downstairs and the food served was delicious. Highly recommend the haggis bon bon starters and the Scottish seafood linguine. After our meal we decided to have a drink upstairs in the lounge which was a really nice setting to end our night.

    1802 Lounge & Grill is a fantastic spot that I recently discovered, and it immediately became one of my favorite places to dine. It's warm and inviting and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The menu is primarily Scottish and i couldn't resist the Cullen skink for starters - one of the best I've ever tasted! I got the chicken schnitzel for my main which was cooked to perfection and my partner got the creamy mushroom gnocchi which they haven't stop raving about the rich flavors. The cocktail selection is also top-notch. I had the irn bru margarita - wow! Never tried anything like it before and highly recommend for any irn bru lovers or those who have never tried irn bru before. We ate downstairs in the grill which was lovely but after enjoyed our cocktails upstairs in the lounge area which has a sophisticated yet laid-back feel. 5 out of 5, looking forward to returning for a drink or meal soon.
