Service was great! Food was good. However, it was definitely overpriced! $72 steak, which I have no problem paying for. It was definitely not a $72 cut of meat. The desserts are terrible! Would go back to the bar, but not the restaurant.
Delicious food and the waiter was the perfect balance of helpfulness and professionalism. We will definitely be back!
It was a lovely night. The food was outstanding. The drinks were fantastic. The desserts are a must.
The food was beyond wonderful. The service was above and beyond what we expected. We have eaten at 1799 for both brunch and dinner.
Great service and atmosphere and amazing food!
Food was amazing. Service was terrific. Incredibly loud at entry/waiting/bar area. Much better when seated.
Anniversary dinner was outstanding. Service was top notch.
Our service was great. Good food recommendations. Very engaging. Moved us inside without issue when it got too chilly on patio.
Great place and great food. Staff and service were all excellent.
Amazing!! Food was delicious
For evening. Great food and service. We'll be back
Great food and service.
Two young guys who were our servers were awesome- Taylor was a rock star
Dinner was amazing!!! The drinks, the food, snd the service were beyond excellent! Make your dinner plans ASAP. Worth it!!
Fantastic food! We had the ceviche, the unbelievably good whipped feta, and the oysters to start and enjoyed every bite. I had a kale Cesar salad which was perfect; the kale was tender and the dressing was flavorful. And for the main course I had the shrimp and grits which were very good. My husband had scallops which he enjoyed and he had a side of the Brussels Sprouts which were phenomenal. A little salty but worth it and not over salted - just salty. Highly recommend and we will go back!!
We enjoyed this location, and it didn't disappoint at all. The atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious, and it's a place that we would go back to again. I would recommend if you'd like a smaller place with a nice feel to it, make a point to visit them.
Food was great. We loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant and bar area.
Service: Ran out of menus (at 7:30 pm), "martini" was cool watered down gin served in a double old-fashioned glass. Server was kind and apologetic. Food: Whipped feta appetizer cold and unspreadable, "medium" pork chop was well done (good flavor though), brussel sprouts were mushy and inedible. Duck was fair. Value: ridiculously expensive. Won't be back.
Our meal was outstanding, service friendly and prompt, ambiance modern and intimate at the same time. I love that the booths are so private. I’m already scheming and trying to conjure up another special occasion so we can go again. Really, one of the best meals I’ve had in Franklin.
The croutons on the Kale Cesar were non existent. When asked the waiter said oh we use Bread crumbs and they are in there. Asked for some more and no chance they were in there.
When you pay $72 for a NY Strip anywhere you are expecting a Prime Cut of beef. This was anything but. Chewy, overburdened with grisel and a total let down.
While I attend many business events at the Harpeth we won’t be coming back to the restaurant. I had such high hopes. Truly a disappointment.
Great restaurant at The Harpeth Hotel. Menu is not extensive - everything we ordered was delicious!
The atmosphere is great, with lounge seating that includes an outdoor courtyard. Service was exceptional. However, the food is overpriced for what it is and the quantity you get. While what we ordered was very good, it was way too oily and salty, especially considering the price. I knew ahead of time what to expect for price, I just assumed the quality and quantity would have matched that price point. However, I would recommend going there at least once and trying it out for your self....you may love it!
This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is delicious. The service was incredible. Our booth even had curtains you could close if you wanted more privacy and less noise which was very nice. It’s very pricey, but I knew this beforehand. I will absolutely return as long as the menu continues to change and be diverse. They definitely have it all figured out for the fine dining experience. I would recommend this for special occasions.
Dinner was really exceptional. The atmosphere was extremely private and quiet. We were celebrating that night and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special event. Our server was Anastasia and she was a delight and attentive. Couldn't have had a better experience. Highly recommend.
The person who sat us was just a little off. Had us wait in an empty restaurant until exactly the time of our reservation. Even commented we were too early.
Beautiful atmosphere. Delicious food. Attentive service.
Quiet with great food and lots of space. It's one of our top three in the area.
Great night out for a friends birthday. Good service and overall food.
1799 reopened for Sunday Brunch with a new, extensive menu with a little bit of something for everyone. Our group of four particularly enjoyed sharing the incredibly tasty blueberry pancakes as a preliminary course to our individual orders.
Great food, great service. Gorgeous space. Loved it.
Excellent experience all the way around. I am glad we sat outside, though. With live music in the lobby, the restaurant was very noisy.
The food was amazing. The staff were great. Highly recommend
Excellent service. Great meal. Wagu and duck outstanding
Wonderful atmosphere, exceptional service. Good food. I’ll be back for sure.
Great overall experience. Would fine here again. Excellent flavors to the food. I had the Cornish hen and my wife the shrimp and grits. Server was prompt, informed, responsive. Drinks well prepared. My only negative to what was a great experience is that I felt drinks were priced a little high compared to other restaurants in Franklin. Still a great experience.
Private booth with curtain walls was intimate and enjoyable. Jimmy was a fantastic server who knew the menu and offered fantastic recommendations. Was our first time in - will be back and have already referred a friend!
Good food. Bar gets loud. Noise carries into dining room.
Wonderful atmosphere and great food and service!!!
