Environment, food, and cocktails were excellent and we will likely return. The valet did not acknowledge us (even look at us) until we exited the vehicle, approached, and spoke to him. The server was decent but told me there was no dairy in the Dauphinoise Potatoes that come with the Angus Beef Tenderloin. After a couple of bites it was apparent there was cheese in the middle. These issues were isolated and, overall, we enjoyed the restaurant and food.
The food was exceptional. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the wine offerings, and very attentive without being intrusive.
The red snapper ceviche was outstanding!
The server was good but tough to hear with masks on. The appetizers are small but good . Crab cakes were yummy.
The duck and pork chop were highlights. The desserts were poor and would not order again unless they changed them up. Panna cotta was watery and not traditional or good , strawberry short bread was dry and tasted stale and not good , cheese cake un flavorful and chocolate cake was also meh.... odd the meal was very good and ambience great but the poor desserts spoiled what would have been a great meal. At the cost of the meal you would think the desserts would have had more originality freshness and flavor
Wonderful service and the food was delicious ! A lot of variety in the menu.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We had a sampling of appetizers which was great for our pescatarian food preference. The whipped feta was to die and a must order for any meal! Service from Jimmy was exceptional. He was kind, engaging and helpful. We had a table toward the front and the noise from the bar could be loud at times, but overall it was a great experience.
This was our second occasion dining at 1799. Service and food are both outstanding. My wife and I ordered the cauliflower curry and it was so delicious. We also love the whipped feta appetizer!! Menu here is slightly limited, but the quality and flavor is excellent. Finally, request one of the private booths; make for a very enjoyable evening.
The atmosphere, food, and service is outstanding at 1799. I would put it in the top spot or two for all restaurants in the Franklin area.
Fabulous cocktail and dinner. Service was very good, friendly, professional. Steak rare to perfection! Margarita exceptional! Mushroom bisque exquisite! Only dissonance was the food coming too quickly - soup before my cocktail. Absolutely a recommendation to friends.
Inedible entrees all around.
Excellent food and experience! Beautifully decorated restaurant with friendly/attentive staff, and absolutely amazing food. The best dinner I've had in quite awhile.
Great brunch experience, highly recommend the steak and eggs!
Great spot for excellent food and drinks. Service is top shelf (especially Taylor, he was great).
Our server went above and beyond! The food and service was amazing!
We went for our friend's birthday, the food and service were 1st class. The manager stopped by to check on us a few times to ensure everything was on point. Everything was delicious, baked oysters, whipped feta, crevice, duck, Cornish hen, shrimp and grits. Everyone loved their dish. Taylor provided 1st class service. We will be back.
We were disappointed in food
We ate here last year and really loved it! However, this year we were sorely disappointed.
The noise was horrible. For some reason they had Music on in the restaurant area, Live music playing in the Bar areas, and music on in the bar area. So throughout our meal, we had 3 different sources of music playing all the time. We had to talk to our server Troy multiple times about it. We will not be going back to this place again.
Server was nice enough but needs a lot of training.
This dinner was our first visit to 1799 on a Saturday night. Meal was really good all in all but pricey. We did not like that we were basically in the lobby of the hotel eating. We were sitting in the first table as you walked in the restaurant. The tables with a curtain would have been a much better seat.
Service was very average. Asked for refills on water a couple times and the wrong bottle of wine came to our table. Some growing pains.
My wife and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary there last night and everything was very enjoyable, food, service, surroundings, everything. That was our first time there, and we are sure to go again. I understand they have a brunch on Sundays and that will be for our next visit, and soon.
Excellent food with elite level presentation. Troy - our server - was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations from the menu. Hard to believe this restaurant is located in a Curio hotel. But it is true. Pricey but the value for a special occasion is in line with other more well-known names in Nashville scene.
It is a nice place. The entrees, and especially the steak, are way overpriced. All of the food was great but the steak was just ok.
We had our favorite waiter, Scott. Food was delicious. Disappointed they were out of crab cakes and they no longer have a pasta dish. Oysters are a favorite. Cocktails have improved!!!
A favorite spot we frequent. Light dining this visit. Apps were great - highly recommend fried quail on Johnny Cakes. Cream of Cauliflower Mushroom Soup special was amazing. And the salads met expectations. Crab cakes sadly disappointed this time with a fishy off flavor and server did not acknowledge the full plate remained.
Very nice spot, will definitely be back!
Wonderful brunch at 1799. We live locally, but had heard good things about the restaurant. Restaurant is very pretty-great seating and very quiet. Service was wonderful- attentive without being overbearing and knowledgable of the menu. Food was delicious and portions were very large. Highly recommend.
We sat at the table for 10 minutes nobody approached us, not even for water, also the restaurant was all but empty on a Saturday night. At these prices you definitely don't want to deal with bad service, so we walked out.
Service was great! Food was good. However, it was definitely overpriced! $72 steak, which I have no problem paying for. It was definitely not a $72 cut of meat. The desserts are terrible! Would go back to the bar, but not the restaurant.
Delicious food and the waiter was the perfect balance of helpfulness and professionalism. We will definitely be back!
It was a lovely night. The food was outstanding. The drinks were fantastic. The desserts are a must.
The food was beyond wonderful. The service was above and beyond what we expected. We have eaten at 1799 for both brunch and dinner.
Great service and atmosphere and amazing food!
Food was amazing. Service was terrific. Incredibly loud at entry/waiting/bar area. Much better when seated.
Anniversary dinner was outstanding. Service was top notch.
Our service was great. Good food recommendations. Very engaging. Moved us inside without issue when it got too chilly on patio.
