Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality.

1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. Our meats are prepared at 1700° on our infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor.

Our world-class wine list is designed to match the quality of our food selection, and our professional staff is trained to recommend the perfect wine pairing with your meal.

Creating a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere of warm sophistication, the new 1796 Room is a dining experience not to be missed.

    Food was great! Too quiet for me. It felt like I was living in 1796 (the name is fitting) but everything else was great.

    Very much enjoyed the filet and lobster Mac and cheese. The Cobb with blue cheese salad was delightful as well. James did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and appreciated. Highly recommend.

    Emily was our server again she is fantastic. The food was great. Tried the bone in Japanese pork chop and it was absolutely fantastic. The taste was juicy and well cooked. My wife had the filet and great ad always. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a great dining experience.

    From the historical location to the wine, steaks and dessert. It was an amazing experience and our server was wonderful. You could cut that steak with a butter knife…best I have ever had.

    My New York Strip (medium to medium rare) was high quality and prepared well. Asparagus and mashed potatoes were also very well crafted. A New York City or Chicago steak in Bedford!

    Hannah our server was spectacular. She is warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is consistently wonderful and truly one of the best meals I have enjoyed this year. My friend and I both enjoyed the lobster and filet mignon. Both are absolutely top notch.
