    This restaurant is a gem in Sussex County. The food is incredible, the services is excellent (thank you to our server, Taylor), the. owner always swings by to say hello and make sure all is well. In my opinion, it is the best place for steak between here and Wilmington or Baltimore.

    We had a really super time. It was my birthday. Jody was our waitress. She went out of her way to make my day. Very special. Food was absolutely superb

    Was promptly seated, table was prepared immediately, server introduced himself offered greetings and specials , then took our beverage order. This was very well done experience.We’ll be back soon..

    Fantastic as always. Had guest visiting from out of state and wanted to take them here. 1776 never disappoints. I hate to give such a great review, for selfish reasons, I don’t want it to get so popular that I can’t get in when I want The food was on point, the drinks perfect and our waitress was awesome.

    Once again 1776 was amazing! It is our go to place when we want to have a special dining experience. The food was perfectly prepared and the entire staff was professional, courteous and friendly. We highly recommend 1776 to everyone!

    Service was excellent. Alex was our waiter. To start the meal we received what looked like store bought rolls that were not worth wasting calories. I feel like a nicer restaurant needs to serve homemade bread or at least quality bread. French onion soup was good but the shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were essentially peel and eat shrimp. They did not have the flavor/texture/size of shrimp cocktail. My husband had prime rib which was flavorful. I had the crab cakes which were ok. Did not need the panko coating on outside—added nothing. We had the devils own cake—the cake was good but the icing was sickening sweet. This was our first visit and we’re not overly impressed.

    We went for my husband’s Birthday. The hostess was so sweet and wished him a Happy Birthday, but that was the last we heard of it. Nothing else special, like a candle with his desert. (deserts were delicious). Dinner was tasty, but the steaks were a bit dry. Drinks were delicious

    Great experience everytime. One of the best resteraunts in the Rehoboth Beach area. I would recommend this establishment to anyone interested. Thank you!
