    this place sets the standard for restaurants. The service is impeccable, including by the owner himself. The atmosphere is old time steak house, a bit noisy but it all works, especially with the piano in the background. The food was absolutely delicious with the exception of the king cut prime rib which was a little tough and a a little too rare. But, you simply can't beat this place, we love it every time.

    Had our 55 wedding anniversary there. Food was great. Service was great. Tom the owner gave us free desert. Our server Alex is the best.

    Tonight we had a birthday celebration dinner at 1776. Jodi waited on us and everything was just fantastic! The service is stellar. The atmosphere is great and it’s always always a very welcoming restaurant.

    Our experience at 1776 was very nice. We have always enjoyed our experience at 1776 Restaurant. The service, our server, Alex, & others have always shown us the utmost family feel & respect. “A meal that is an experience in itself.” Warm, inviting atmosphere.” I would be happy to recommend to our friends 1776 restaurant! 😁

    Always a great experience dining there and the staff were phenomenal. This was the first time listening to live piano music, and he was absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed him.

    Always spot on, I've been going there for decades. My parents went there many many years ago and my 95-year-old Mother just joined me for dinner there two nights ago. It's always spot on. Tom is always accommodating. The staff is efficient and and friendly, the food is good. It's just a real gem near the Delaware shore.

    My wife and I drive 45 minutes to dine at 1776 for me birthday. Our server Alex did an outstanding job! The food was very good with the exception of the crab cake. My filet was delicious but the crab cake was mostly breading with little crab and not very good. My wife had a 1776 Filet which was outstanding. A very nice restaurant in Rehoboth Beach!

    1776 Steakhouse never disappoints! They are, by far, the best steakhouse in the Lewes/Rehoboth Beach area. The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is amazing. #1 Steakhouse!
