   We reserved one of the Champagne Chalets for a fun afternoon! The ambiance of the chalet and the waitstaff were wonderful! The food was also wonderful! The downsides were the plastic cups we had to use for our wine and the fact that they didn’t have the Veuve Clicquot champagne from the menu in stock. We’re reserving a Veuve Clicquot themed chalet and they can’t deliver on the expected beverage of choice. Also, if we are required to spend a minimum of $500 on food and drinks then we should not have to drink from plastic cups. The pizzas we ordered were served in cardboard boxes as if it were take out. I did mention to management that the plastic cups were unacceptable. Hopefully they implement change as outdoor dining shouldn’t mean a downgrade in the level of service offered. We tipped our waitstaff well and it was a unique experience, but, I wouldn’t book the Champagne Chalet again and would rather reserve a table indoors.

   Staff was tremendous, paying attention to all of our needs. Restaurant was fairly packed as such noise level was high. IMO, too many tables in such a confined area, adding to that having extra tables and chairs carried past us while we were dining is not what I expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Again food was excellent, presentation was excellent and wait staff was tremendous.

   Beautiful restaurant, food was good but not on par with all the hype, and quite pricey for the portion size — and to be honest, for the amount of money we paid for the evening (over $250 per couple, minimal drinks, and no dessert ) I would think they could better coordinate the meal – – sides came out as most of us were finishing our steak – – I know the restaurant is busy, but certainly not short staffed with the abundance of staff we saw —-I think they can do better —-MUCH better

   Sat at a high top in the bar during happy hour. Great prices on drinks and a nice large selection of food items. Service was terrific and the food and drinks were of high quality. Would recommend.

    Overall it was a very fun experience! Definitely better than other “igloos” I’ve been in before. Pros: Food and drink minimum was reasonable, and food was delicious. Most of the champagne chalets were very cute and decorated nicely. Our server Jordan was fantastic - attentive, helped us with pictures, pleasant to talk to, really enhanced our experience. Keep up the great work, Jordan! You’re killing it. Cons: We were given clear, standard plastic cups for our drinks, not even plastic champagne flutes, which didn’t make sense to me because the “igloos” were on top of turf so glasses breaking shouldn’t have been a concern. Kind of weird to drink Veuve out of plastic, especially when the restaurant marked it up by over 100% (typical bottle is ~$70, but 1776 charged $150). Also the chalet next to us was given real wine glasses. The food was served in to-go containers. Maybe it was in an effort to make the servers’ lives easier, but that coupled with the plastic cups made the experience feel a little cheaper than expected. The “love”-themed chalet looked a little tacky and I’m glad we weren’t given that one. A price tag was left on the top of our coffee table and a decorative tray was placed on top to hide it vs. just removing it.

    As we are all getting older I thought it would be nice for my brothers and sisters to treat ourselves to an elegant dinner. I suggested 1776 as it is close for most and I knew from previous experience the atmosphere, food and service is excellent . I am so happy to say the evening was perfect ! Everyone was happy with my choice. The restaurant was elegant and the service and food was great . Thank you Marilyn

    Ordered the porterhouse for two medium, it came well done. Comes with two sides but only includes a choice of certain sides. For $145 it should include any sides. Asked to bring home leftovers, I got home and they threw the bone out? Nice ambience but not worth the $.

    Service was spotty. Had to wait 10 minutes for our reservation while they got our table ready. When we were seated, not only was it not even set, but there were still napkins and menus on the table from the previous diners. They served our appetizers and we had no plates or cutlery. Had to wait a long time to place our order, rarely came back to check on how we were doing or if we needed anything else. To our servers credit, he did buy us a round of drinks since we had been waiting for an hour and a half and our entrées still hadn’t been served. The food itself was fine. Nothing extraordinary though. Ambience was very cool though. I might go back to sit at the bar for drinks. But probably not for dinner.

    The food was just above average, especially for the price. Neither of us had the steaks and would like to come back and try them.

    Had a great time! Ambiance is just beautiful. The food was amazing! Service was excellent. We had the lobster dumpling, Bronzino, shrimp and octopus. All delicious! Shared the lemon meringue pie…beautiful presentation and delicious.

    I was so excited to try David Burkes food. Everything was good other than the bread basket $12 for overdone popovers and corn bread very disappointing. The rest of the food was good a little pricey for the portion size. Wine and cocktails way overpriced. Restaurant was very busy and people waiting . unfortunately the high ceilings make the noise level really high and hard to converse. I do believe I will try it on a Monday night when they have burger night and maybe a little less noisy.

    Seating was prompt with a nice welcome. Had lunch of pumpkin ravioli which I found a bit too Al dente. my friend had the salmon dish which he said was fine. I had a coke to drink, he had seltzer. $120. with tip. Seems a bit pricy. Nice setting near window.

    The title of this review is DISAPPOINTED The 4 of us were expecting more than what we got since David Burke's name is attached to this restaurant. The gentleman at the reservation desk attended to the person in front of us nicely, who has specific requests regarding where she wanted to sit. We then stood and waited while he spoke with a server about patrons already seated before he acknowledged us. It was rude. We were escorted to a table, after which we waited for a server- and waited and waited- until one of us actually got up and stopped the server at the next table to ask if she was our sever. She was not but assured us that she would send someone over. Another wait until OUR sever came over to apologize and explain that she had been confused about her table assignments. She assured us she would take good care of us. The drinks and food ordered were fine. Not memorable. We got no special care (couldn't she have at least comped our $6 bread order?) and will think twice before we consider returning.

    We frequent 1776 and usually have 10/10 experience. Last night was an unfortunate exception. The rainbow roll was fishy (specifically the crab), the cauliflower/broccoli was soggy, the octopus was chewy, we didn’t get a glass of wine that was asked for, and when we asked to take some food home- strangely whomever boxed the dinners threw away the sides and only put the meat in the container. For 4 of us, to spend over $450, you’d expect a near perfect experience each time. Would love to discuss with the management if they read these reviews. Update: after calling to discuss the happenings with a manager, a full refund was initiated immediately. The manager Josh was attentive and efficient.

    Service was very poor. Empty glasses, dirty utencils, chopstick wrappers and crumbs left on the table all night long. Had to ask "can you please take these away?" Way too noisy, don't go if you want to talk and relax. The most annoying part was actually the short-pours on both wine and cocktails. Total ripoff. Had an old fashioned barley reached the middle of the ice cube and a $32 glass of cabernet not near the halfway line. Steak was seasoned great but not a great cut of meat. Just not as good as we expected for the cost.

    Food was very good. Service was ok. Was told restaurant ran out of Sancerre although later found. Didn’t get coffee with dessert. Asked three times. Waitress was lovely through. Very friendly. Knew menu etc. based on reputation and prices I was surprised by mishaps.

    Lovely place- the new year brunch buffet was somewhat lackluster for the 98 dollars a head fee. I would’ve expected something a little more interesting than an omelette, station and basic breakfast. The prime rib was good, but again nothing particularly special or interesting. Generally, I’m very happy to give 20% for service but the 20% tacked on for the very minimal service for our party of four was disappointing. No one cleared our plates or glasses with any frequency so glasses and plates piled up.
