What does modern, ingredient-driven mean? It’s a different approach to dining and drinking that arose from the way we like to eat. When we go out, we like to try many things, and often we will order an assortment of dishes for the table so we can all taste as much as possible. We get excited when we experience different approaches to food and different styles of drinks. 8pm reservations but the hostess forgot to get us at the bar until I approached her at 8:30. Dessert comped thanks but dinner significantly delayed with such late seating

The Filipino-inspired dishes we ordered were disappointing. The lamb lumpia was so-so and the fried olives were just that. Where’s the longanisa? We didn’t taste them at all. The frozen leche flan was too sweet. Next time we’ll try the other dishes on the menu.

My partner and I had eaten here several years ago, and as his daughter has moved into the neighborhood we wanted to celebrate her arrival. We had a mainly excellent meal - particularly enjoyed the "pastrami" trout, english peas, burrata, and duck sandwich. But the pacing was odd (serving the risotto and fries together, with no other course, was carb-heavy even for me; the last dish, the duck, was so late the waitress apologized and we debated just cancelling as we were stuffed). One dish was awful (the uni bucatini) and the waitress noticed we hadn't eaten it, asked why, and then took it off the bill -- good service. So we'd return but be more deliberate in instructions.

We are regular customer in this restaurant, and this time we were really disappointed.We waited more than one hour to be seated!!

Best place to pair food with champagne in San Francisco! 1760 has a purist devotion to wine and champagne with a deep list spanning from big houses to boutiques. The menu is perfect for nibbling. Despite my reservations about cooked Uni, the Uni pasta was magical. The Monday night special is a deal.
