I really enjoyed the food. Portions are not big, but everything was tasty. Pasta with Uni and burrata and fried rice with crab meat were outstanding . The beef tartar was innovative too. Not cheap - 2 drinks, 2 starters and 2 mains run $150. but this is San Francisco. It was a rainy Wednesday, so it wasn't crowded. But cocktail scene is usually cool . Just stools along the bar, but classy with a neighborhood feel.
Had a great experience. Our waiter, Mackenzie, was awesome and the music was on-point.
We had a great experience.
Absolutely fabulous, as usual! Leisurely divine meal.
Food is pretty salty and there was an overhead light that flickered the entire time. Mildly annoying.
8pm reservations but the hostess forgot to get us at the bar until I approached her at 8:30. Dessert comped thanks but dinner significantly delayed with such late seating
Wonderful experience. We loved the food!
The Filipino-inspired dishes we ordered were disappointing. The lamb lumpia was so-so and the fried olives were just that. Where’s the longanisa? We didn’t taste them at all. The frozen leche flan was too sweet. Next time we’ll try the other dishes on the menu.
My partner and I had eaten here several years ago, and as his daughter has moved into the neighborhood we wanted to celebrate her arrival. We had a mainly excellent meal - particularly enjoyed the "pastrami" trout, english peas, burrata, and duck sandwich. But the pacing was odd (serving the risotto and fries together, with no other course, was carb-heavy even for me; the last dish, the duck, was so late the waitress apologized and we debated just cancelling as we were stuffed). One dish was awful (the uni bucatini) and the waitress noticed we hadn't eaten it, asked why, and then took it off the bill -- good service. So we'd return but be more deliberate in instructions.
We are regular customer in this restaurant, and this time we were really disappointed. We waited more than one hour to be seated!!
Very nice moment with some friends. Food excellent!
Our waitress seemed annoyed by us, other than that, the food and drinks were quite fabulous
Great service, but the food was just ok.
Great! As always
Best place to pair food with champagne in San Francisco! 1760 has a purist devotion to wine and champagne with a deep list spanning from big houses to boutiques. The menu is perfect for nibbling. Despite my reservations about cooked Uni, the Uni pasta was magical. The Monday night special is a deal.
Great Small Plates, had the Burrata, Fried Chicken and Branzino, Desserts were good too
Had a wonderful dinner at 1760 Saturday night enjoying the last part of happy hour then our full dining experience. Service was excellent (Kimkei) and the food could not have been more pleasing. We started with opening a bottle of wine and three appetizers from their happy hour menu. They included fried chicken bites, french fries and pork taco's....they will all be ordered again at our next visit. For our main courses the two standouts were the octopus and duck burger but all were very creatively prepared. This restaurant is a keeper.....
Delicious food !!!
What delicious food. I am looking froward to brussels sprout and a glass of white wine for my next meal there.
We tried a number of dishes and thought everything was great!
We’ve been dining at 1760 since it opened 3 years ago. Always superb! Service, wine, cocktails & expert preparation of food makes it a regular gem for us. Many business dinners there as well. All sorts of taste preference friends who all love the food & experience. Great staff & careful chef oversight with superb food-friendly cocktails & wine come together consistently at 1760 to make it a terrific value.
Sleek modern restaurant with great bar. I would define the food as modern American. The food is a little bit overdone for my liking (a lot happens on the plate with very strong flavors and sauces prevailing), but generally good.
Overall this is a very good place, with good cocktails, a good wine cart and nice service. I would definitely go back
Interesting small plates, some better than others, risotto and scallops were very good. Nice change from other places.
creative cooking. go early-quiet yummy great place
too expensive for what you get
$27 for 3 little scallops...wow!!!
I perused the menu prior to dining there, so I already had some idea of what I wanted to order. Definitely go with the steak tartare and uni bucatini. The tartare was prepared with aromatic herbs - it was so delicious that my husband and I ordered this TWICE. The uni bucatini was delicious as well but very rich, so you'll want to share this dish. Am looking forward to my next visit!
Innovative menu and a fun environment, with a well-curated wine list and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Portions are generous and intended to be shared family-style, and the dishes were served with perfect timing for our table of five - which was a nice change from the irritating trickle of dishes that happens at typical tapas-styled restaurants. The food is very tasty, with the lamb steak and the spicy pork ribs being particularly memorable. The uni pasta was also well-liked by those of us with more adventurous tastes. The price points are on the higher side, but we found it reasonable for a San Francisco restaurant and the good quality of the food and service. Overall, it was the perfect choice for our post-holiday reunion of friends.
We had a really nice meal here. Interesting, well executed dishes with lots of flavorful veggies. The brussel sprouts were amazing! So was the uni pasta dish! I also had a great cocktail with compari ice cubes! It’s a bit dark and hipsterish but the service was really nice and welcoming. Would recommend and go back.
Food is terrific. Nice salad, verygood octopus, and really flavorful mushroom risotto. On the other hand, our bottle of wine was WAY too cold, even after decanting, even after 30 minutes. Might have been close to 50 degrees at the beginning -- should have been 55 minimum or better at 58-60 to serve. The wine was terrific after it warmed up, but they clearly have a wine storage issue. [Don't think that is true with wines by the glass, which the sommelier serves from a table with multiple bottles awaiting opening.]
I love this place. I brought my niece her husband and her children. They absolutely loved it, the food, drinks and desserts. We had a wonderful experience.
We used to live in the neighborhood and this was our go-to place. Now we live in the East Bay and happily drive into the city for the great food at 1760. Friendly service and excellent cocktails round out the experience. Come hungry!
Lovely dining experience. Exemplary service with excellent food and fine wines.
I love this place. I love everything on the menu. The service is great. We are always treated well. We go at least twice a month and always take our out of town guests.
Didn’t live ip to the hype, food was not as amazing as expected. Probably won’t go back
They always treat us so well. Luv coming here every month
Dishes were exquisite and leave room for dessert. This place is really a gem
Remarkably fresh and tasty small plates combined with friendly attentive service make this both a neighborhood gem and a foodie delight. Recommend the steak tartar.
Amazing waitress, anazing food. No complaints, will not disappoint. Cocktails were very impressive!
A good place for interesting food. Don't overlook the appetizers, which are very flavorful and well presented. Service was prompt, attentive and well coordinated among several people. Only thing to the contrary to say is one in our party wanted decaf coffee with the desert (which are nice, by the way) and none was available.
We were at the restaurant for Happy Hour which was fabulous. Everything we ordered was great including the Shisito peppers, lumpia, fried olives, Petrale Sole, ribs , chicken bites and the frozen flan desert was awesome. The service was friendly and efficient, the margarita was killer and the old fashioned hit the spot. This is my new favorite restaurant!
Our plates were shared as suggested so all could savor multiple appetizers and entrees. We saved room for the amazing flavors of the Brown Butter Panna Cotta. Our food and service were perfect! 1760 Restaurant made for a most memorable evening.
