What does modern, ingredient-driven mean? It’s a different approach to dining and drinking that arose from the way we like to eat. When we go out, we like to try many things, and often we will order an assortment of dishes for the table so we can all taste as much as possible. We get excited when we experience different approaches to food and different styles of drinks. The central theme to our quest; enjoy high quality ingredients that have been skillfully handled to allow the intrinsic quality, flavors, and textures to be expressed. Above all, it is our goal to offer all things delicious.
Good food, poor service. Made a reservation, but still waited 20 minutes to be seated. Watched the waiters take shots together which could explain the slow service.
Microscopic portions for the "large plates" which would have been fine except the food was just mediocre. The duck burger had the texture of liverwurst and was just a slab of meat. The sea bass was better and had a nice crispy crust on it and was pleasantly presented with the sides. But not worth the money. And the location isn't great either but was near where we were seeing a show.
Really great restaurant. Food is delicious. My favorite thing that we ate was the brussel sprouts and the ribs.... so yummy. Planning my next trip back to them already

The food and service exceeded expectations! Our server, David Roby, was so attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had a nice, 2 1/2 hour dinner and we can say this was truly the highlight of our MLK weekend!

We were in the area so reserved a spot here and thought it was a lovely room with really stellar service. The food is inventive but has a few basics (fries!) -- as others have noted, the dishes are brought to the table one at a time to share. This approach worked for us, but may not suit everyone. We plan to return and bring a friend who lives in the area to try it out.
1760 has consistently unique tastes and interesting food that never disappoints. I love the atmosphere and service, with a special call out to the sommelier who also never disappoints. I've been there several times now and highly recommend it.
Loved this place! Super cool interior design and drinks! I had 1760 cocktail and it was amazing! My friend and I shared one small dish, brussel sprouts and two large dishes - pork ribs and pappardelle! Loved all food and drinks. Waiters were very attentive as well. Will def go back!
Food is always delicious. It's also great that presentation will change periodically so the menu remains fresh.
Nice location off Polk street. Food was good, definitely recommend the scallops. Our waiter was very pushy, constantly interrupting conversations and taking food/drinks away from the table without asking.
If the service was better I would rated it overall a 4 star.
Wonderful and talented chef and delightful staff. Always a very enjoyable dinner at 1760 and perfect for special occasions! It's always been a treat dining at 1760 because everything is so tasty. Highly recommend!
We picked this restaurant after the rosy review from PBS's CheckPlease. We went as a family and ended up disappointed. The food is American Fusion, maybe we just don't enjoy the flavor nor the creativity around. When the waitress told us that the serving is family style and we may need to order more, we do not quite get it. Anyhow, the portion is small, the look is not particularly pleasing and the taste is not memorable. The service is satisfactory but not warm nor friendly. We spent over $40 per head with no wine, it is not a lot but the menu selection is not enticing for us to consider a second round either. We ended up not full. We stopped by another place to get a Cheese Sandwich for supper.
Overall the restaurant is in a nice location but no parking (we had luck in finding a street parking spot nearby). It has a nice ambiance for the drinkers maybe, but overall, it does not live up to the hype.

Wine list is way over priced. Bar staff played weird music too loud. When asked to turn it down, it took a while and still was too loud when turned down. Food was good but not great.
Really nice restaurant. Service was good, we shared a bunch of different plates between the six of us and they were all good. Would be nice to have beer on tap instead of just bottled beer, but it was all good.
After spending 30 minutes looking for a parking space, we parked in a garage.. It was worth the time spent driving around as the food was FABULOUS! Great flavors, very accommdating as the person I was with is a vegetarian and they adjusted a dish to please her. I have told my co-workers about it. I wish they would offer de-caf coffee as both of us wanted it.
The food, the wine list are wonderful. My only only complaint is the Music is just plain off. It isn’t one thing or the other- and absolutely doesn’t enhance the ambiance but detracts from it.
Terrific wine list and wine service
There is a lot to like at this restaurant. The service was on point, a lot of the dishes we tried were very-good or excellent. The ambiance was clean, modern, millenial. The only hesitation we have is the portion size for the price. They tended to be appetizer sized dishes for entree prices. For that reason I recommend the happy hour here as the way to go for the budget-concious. The Old Fashioned on the happy hour menu for $8 is quite nice. The best dish we tried was the ribs. Hands down.

Excellent food. Shared plates style
Great food every small plate we tried was very good our bartender/server was very attentive and had good suggestions.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, was a bit low key being Thanksgiving weekend. We order a bunch of small plates and one entree to share, Everything really good, especially the tuna crude and little gem salad. Really enjoyed the ribs but wished they had something else on the plate with it like rice or vegetables. We even had the cheese course and desserts,which were creatively presented. The wine list was pricey but very good selections. Service started slow but it all came together nicely and staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back there.
Food was good but can’t say same about ambience. Light was too bright, music too loud and like “Yo-Yo motherf..r”...

The food was quite good, and the server was nice. However, the dreadful, loud rap music forced us to leave after half an hour. Will not return.
Lighting is off, super loud, service on a Saturday night was awful - server ordered our cocktails wrong from the bartender, she forgot to put some of our food order in and then we ordered a birthday dessert and instead of just putting the candle in what we ordered - she brought a second one - and it was not good. So weird. Not a fan of 1760.

We grabbed a quick bite and a cocktail before a show. The 'old fashion' was well made; just enough of everything. We order the lupia and loved that they were a bit slimmer than most make. The banana sauce was a nice touch as compared to the usual vinegar. Additionally we had the pork belly and they were so delish. We will definitely stop in again.
This was our first time here. We picked it because of its online reviews and its proximity to the Masonic, where we were going to a show after dinner. The staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating with our time restriction. The noise level was a little high for me, but it added to the liveliness of the restaurant. It wasn't so loud that we couldn't converse. The cocktails were delicious and so was the food, both the starters and main dishes. We would all go again.
I visited 1760 for the first time with my son. The staff was helpful as could be on the cocktails and menu.
The food was great and the pace of the service enhanced our experience. We’ll return.
