Contemporary American

What does modern, ingredient-driven mean? It’s a different approach to dining and drinking that arose from the way we like to eat. When we go out, we like to try many things, and often we will order an assortment of dishes for the table so we can all taste as much as possible. We get excited when we experience different approaches to food and different styles of drinks. The central theme to our quest; enjoy high quality ingredients that have been skillfully handled to allow the intrinsic quality, flavors, and textures to be expressed. Above all, it is our goal to offer all things delicious.

foods and drinks too expensive for the value we got. we spent $156 for one plate of chip, 2 small soup, 1 scallop, one italian rice, and 2 cock tails and 2 house wine. Only the scallop is seafoods really, and only 3 scallops there, others are just cheap stuffs.

Food is outstanding, service among the best. There are standout cocktails - the bartenders nail your everyday "go-to" drink and bring a lot of creativity to the menu. Don't miss the crispy chicken and the gem salad.

1760 is definitely a local gem!! Love the creative menu and the food was absolutely divine. It's a really great place for gathering with friends.

The fried duck sandwich and the crispy chicken are to die for. Crispy on the outside but tender & juicy on the inside for the crispy chicken. As for the duck sandwich, it's HUGE, and the duck was cooked to perfection. It's in a good size to cut in 4's to share.

Definitely will go back again!!

Best meal I have had in quite a while! Wonderful flavors. Beautiful presentation. Unusual and delicious combiations. A ravioli with coconut curry sauce was an east meets west delight. Unpretentious and relaxed for food that exceptional. Efficient, quick and not stuffy service. Portion size just right. I could go back again and again.

was quite empty the night we were there. the music was way too loud for the number of people there.
just after a holiday weekend, but the food was wonderful, and the service the same.
looking forward to returning

Service is impeccable! We sat at the bar and started with the drafter was a decadent drink with a slice of dried pineapple and a spring of mint with ice to fill the rim in a small glass. The next drink was a Twist of Faith which is on the sweeter side with coconut and gin and a vintage gin which was delicious and again both drinks were overpriced for the size. The bartender's suggested that we have Steve fried olives which were totally out of this world highly recommend them crunchy on the outside stuffed with a pork sausage in the inside Simply Delicious. We then went to sit at our table where my husband had the scallops I had the swordfish and my daughter had the raviolis vegetarian all three dishes had beautiful presentation but fell short on flavor. I would not go back for dinner but I would definitely go back for the overpriced cocktails and fried olives.

It took an hour to get our entrees (we had only ordered 2). The little gem salad, octopus dish, and ribs were all too salty for our palate. Some of the servers were snobby. I don't think we'll be coming back. After seeing this establishment featured on Check Please Bay Area with great reviews, we had such high expectations before coming to this place but sadly we were very disappointed. The food was good but not worth the high price tag in my opinion.

Our 2nd time here and it was even better than the first. They really do it all perfectly. The food was spot on, except the fried chicken..could be lighter on the batter and not as hard fried like Katsu. The cocktails were perfectly done. Great service and really fun and hip environment. We highly recommend it. Share lots of small plates.

I have eaten at 1760 several times in the past and was looking forward to this meal, however my friend and I found the most recent meal very disappointing While the tuna crudo and deserts were still excellent, the rest of the meal was uneven. The chef here has always leaned into fish sauce but this time we found multiple dishes overwhelmed by its pungency. Beyond that, the squash blossoms were so tasteless and greasy that we sent them back to the kitchen, and the corn ravioli in coconut sauce arrived cold in the center. When we mentioned it to our server, she took the remaining 2 (we had each tried one) and put them in the microwave! I’m bummed to say that I won’t be keeping 1760 on the rotation.

We enjoyed 1760 a lot. Went with 4 people to celebrate a birthday, and found the food creative and tasty. The beet salad and the octopus were our favorites. The service was fantastic and it wasn't too noisy to converse (huge for us). We brought our own special wine and had a nice chat with the very gracious sommelier. Will definitely return.

Food was excellent. Service very sub par for this type of establishment. My fiancé sat down at a table 10min before me and no one came to offer him a drink. Service is slow, we probably waited 10min between each course. And when it comes to smaller shared plates, that’s a lot of waiting in between each plate and makes you so hungry while waiting between each bite!

The food is great and fresh and that’s what keeps me coming back. They also have a seasonal menu which means there’s always something new to try
