Great experience with the food and the staff.
Very nice space, but slow service and overpriced for the quality.
Highly recommended, it was excellent in all aspects!!
We had an exceptional dinner comprised of steak, asparagus, and mash potatoes.
The service was exceptional and the staff an absolute delight. We have extended our stay a d will be dining here again.
It was me and my party’s first time there and we all fell in love. We all got steaks and they were cooked perfectly to our preference as well as juicy and delicious. Would definitely recommend the 1700 house sauce, we all had it with our entrees and finished everything on the plate. The service was also impeccable- quick, helpful, very polite and professional. I cannot wait to go back soon.
Date night with the lady. Great location in the hotel, the ambiance was fabulous, the service was excellent out server was so knowledgeable of the menu and everything he recommended was delicious down to the sauce. Great for date night or any special occasion. And lastly the steak was one of the very best I’ve ever had
Our server Jack and the rest of the staff were great and food was outstanding—-awesome to see these restaurants popping up in El Paso!
If you’re dining here, you must have Jacque as your waiter. He’s the BEST
This is a wonderful place to eat. Service is always top notch!
A totally pleasurable evening. The ambience matched the quality of the food. We began the evening at their Dome Bar featuring a beautiful Tiffany glass dome then moved into their dining area. We all had steaks (rib eye & veal porterhouse) which were cooked to perfection. Side dishes were excellent as well. Great wine selection too. Staff were extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
The food was great. We started with fried olives which were good. My wife had the Lamb Two Ways. The lamb rack was perfectly cooked and the lamb loaf was interesting and tasty. It was all served on a bed of beans that I did not try, but my wife who usually passes on beans seemed to enjoy them. She finished her plate which she rarely does. I had the New York Strip medium rare with au poivre sauce which came beautifully cooked, nicely crisped, and much thicker and larger than expected. On the side I had the truffle Mac and cheese. My meal was 100% delicious.
For dessert we shared a carrot cake. Carrot cake is one of our favorite desserts, and were both very pleased with this one. Very moist, very tasty, plenty of frosting.
I would not recommend having dinner there on Saturday evening. The Locomotives band members were making a terrible messy noise seemingly practicing right outside of the wall we were seated next to. Then, when the Dome bar started their music playing, the noise was absurd.
Great service! Jason and Daniel, were all over it. Steaks are great. My wife had the tuna, her recommendation is to stick with the steak at a steak place. Definitely will return.
Food was great ! Service was top notch
This was my second time here and it did not disappoint once again! The service was great, the food was good in portion and great in flavor. I highly recommend 1700.
The margaritas are amazing! The food was average but, the service was top notch! I will be back…I’ll try a steak this time. I had lobster, fried Olives and the wedge salad. I’d prefer bacon vs, the pork belly on the salad. It was too chewy and I like the crunch of bacon.
The food was really good, and the service outstanding. We're glad to have more fine dining choices.
I had high expectations for 1700° Steakhouse, especially for the price and 5 star dining promises. The ambiance was nice, and even though we were told there was a dress code, it was not at all enforced. Aside, our steaks were overcooked (which the should be perfect at this price point), and some of our sides were not good. We had the onion rings and potato gratin. The onion rings were not crispy, and were in fact soggy. Some of the rings still had the onion paper in them, which made them extremely tough to chew. The potato gratin was very greasy, which isn’t necessarily a problem (because the grease comes from the cheese) but the payoff wasn’t quite there (in terms of taste).
Overall, 1700° has a lot of promise, but just doesn’t deliver on what you’d expect from a five star restaurant with a $100-$200 tab for two people.
We arrive 10 before our reservation and the host said we have to wait 10 minutes because restaurant was not open yet. She pointed at the bar where we sat down and the bartender very rude told us to move away from bar that we could not seat there. The server was very nice and pleasant. The food had no taste. It was freezing inside the restaurant.
Very elegant restaurant, but has the noise level of a sports bar on a big game night.
Wonderful food and great setting!
Amazing place to go on a special date. We had a fine and elegant experience.
Our server was magnificent . The food was incredibly flavorful and the place was magical. We are definitely going back.
I ordered the Wagyu and it was amazing! The fried olives were a bit too salty for me but other than that it was great.
Stellar experience from beginning to end!
The staff was excited and very dedicated. The food was excellent and ata good price.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Our server was amazing, the food was perfect, and they acknowledged our anniversary. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service. A gem.
Great food and service! Waiters went out of their way to get my wife the wine she wanted
My two guests and I have been customers in the 1700 dining room under its many different owners over the past 30 years. It is an elegant and beautiful place. Last evening the food, the service, the wine, were excellent. The ambience, however, was horrible. Some guests were extremely loud, almost screaming and hollering. They were certainly having a good time, but it was worse than eating at Peter Piper. The loud and boisterous people did not fit the elegance of the dining room. The new managers are going to have to decide what they want there. Once upon a time there was an accompanist at the Grand Piano and a cellist which added elegance to the place. Now, they charge a very high price for a Peter Piper experience. I would be hesitant to return given the fact that nearby high-end restaurants offer a more civilized ambiance.
Our wonderful experience began with the courteous valet parking attendant. Our waiter Jason made the dining experience memorable, the food was delicious. My steak was overcooked, but still delicious, the manager on duty apologized offered to redo, which we declined instead opted for the carrot cake.
Great food, service and great environment! We celebrate our anniversary and they treat us really well 🥂🌹
fantastic!! great renovations and great food. We enjoyed ourselves.
Fantastic steaks and tasty sides. The atmosphere is elegant and the dress is casual to business casual. The service was outstanding and the roof top bar is a nice way to relax before or after dinner. Don’t miss this gem in El Paso.
They're still getting their bearings, having recently opened, but the overall experience wasn't bad. The steaks are phenomenal, yet the sides could use additional finesse. They seemed quite dry and lacked a real "speciality" that couldn't be made by doing it yourself at home. Remember butter and cream is your friend!! I'd go again, but this time I'd wait until there is an actual menu online, having been solidified, and they've been given some time to fix the kinks. Jason, our waiter, was awesome and guided us through all the hiccups without too much of a worry. The Huckleberry Mule was amazing and atmosphere top notch. If you're looking for a different pace and something more upscale, I'd recommend 1700 Degrees, but do remember to lower your expectations a bit.
One of the best restaurants I have been to in El Paso. The service was top notch and the food was amazing . Great wine selections as well
Service was excellent! Appetizers were ok but the entrees were amazing especially the steaks!
Great ambiance, great steaks. Has your standard steakhouse sides. Hotel parking is a miss so park elsewhere.
Incredible food and staff!
From the time we arrived to the time we left, the service was remarkable. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. He gave us some recommendations when asked for. The food was amazing. The Bison Tomahawk is a must try. I strongly recommend 1700!
Excellent experience on day 2 of them being open. Only issue was the splitting of bill on two cards at payment created problem. But manager was great in handling. They also gave us two free deserts.
Our steaks were great. The oysters were fresh and fantastic. My son got the veal porter house and was a first for us and was great.
Great new place.
Made dinner reservations for 2 and were seated right away. I got the flat iron and my partner got the rib eye. I loved the selection of steak sauces and the server was very knowledge and made great recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!
