A-5 Japanese Takamori Wagyu Strip Loin
Takamori Drunken Wagyu is a Japanese breed known for its extraordinary flavor and tenderness. It is raised solely on a sake mash made from the leftover rice from the Dassai Sake Brewery, the makers of one of Japan's top-quality sake. This is an important step in raising the cattle as it allows the cattle to get the most out of the mash and develop the flavor and tenderness that is so prized in the breed. The sake mash is a fermented mash used as food for the cattle. It is fed to the cattle for the first few weeks of life. After that, the cattle are switched to a light feed for several weeks. The cattle are then moved to a pasture and allowed to graze for the rest of their lives. The grazing allows the cattle to develop their flavor and tenderness

- 1 oz$10.00
Fernet del Frate$22.00
Deep colored, almost black, with golden reflections from the expensive addition of fine saffron, there is no additional coloring added. The saffron aromas mix with lightly mentholated and medicinal notes. The bitterness is immediately detected on the first sip, but evolves with light mint, menthol flavors that are surprisingly balanced and a subtle sweetness carries the finish on for a long while, as the bitterness becomes surprisingly engaging. This amazing liqueur can be sipped on its own, but shines in skillfully-made cocktails, especially the Employees Only and the Toronto. Tempting to take straight as a shot, if one stops to savor it, Fernet del Frate will instantly become the go-to sipper for the first and the last drink of the night
Amaro Nonino$18.00
Scent of orange zest, bitter orange marmelade, thyme and menthol, with exhotic notes like mango. Nice mix of sweet and bitter on the palate, perceptible pepper and liquorice; cocoa aftertaste

Wine List
Cabernet Sauvignon
Booker Vineyard, My Favorite Neighbor, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2020
California, Dry, Red
- Bottle$160.00
Caterwaul Wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2020
California (Napa Valley), Dry, Red
- Bottle$160.00
Charles Krug, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019
Napa Valley, Dry, Red. The vineyards in Yountville produce Cabernet Sauvignon of exceptional intensity and complexity. This polished wine opens with aromas of black cherry, currant and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, cocoa and cassis blend with supple tannins that lead to a graceful, elegant finish
- Bottle$67.00
Col Solare, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018
Columbia Valley, Dry, Red. Col Solare, the joint venture between Chateau Ste. Michelle and Antinori, completed its new Red Mountain facility to produce this. Composed largely of cabernet and merlot, the wine buzzes with lithe energy when first poured but shows little else. A day of air brings it into focus with scents of tobacco leaf, cedar and black cherry, the flavors bearing out all those aromatic elements. But it's the wine's texture that is wiry, energetic and completely poised. It may have you returning over and over to the glass. This is seriously elegant, and still very young. Cellar, then serve with herb-crusted lamb chops
- Bottle$130.00
Decoy by Duckhorn, Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019
Napa Valley, Dry, Red. Rich and appealing with fragrant lifted aromas of mulberry, raspberry and currant with hints of rhubarb and mocha. Soft toned fruit flavors with engaging spice complexity
- Glass (6 oz.)$14.00
- Bottle$59.00
Duckhorn, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019
Napa Valley, Dry, Red. Smooth and lush with plum, spice and ripe flavors of berries and chocolate
- Glass (6 oz.)$35.00
- Bottle$140.00
Freemark Abbey, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018
Napa Valley, Dry, Red. A rich dark ruby-garnet color that is very enticing to the wine lover. The aromas of dark cherry, red plum and blackberry are integrated with the spicy sweetness of oak, cedar, cinnamon, clove and toast. With the subtle sweet aroma of a humidor, this wine has an abundance of complex aromas and flavors. The body is very full with a soft entry, coupled with dark cherry/berry flavors that develop from start to finish. With great texture and mouth feel, this Cabernet is full bodied, rich and opulent
- Bottle$121.00
Hess, Allomi, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019
Napa Valley, Dry, Red. The combination of a long, warm growing season and well-drained soils creates optimal ripening conditions, which make the Allomi Vineyard an ideal location for Cabernet Sauvignon. The 210-acre vineyard is composed of 35 unique blocks with six different clones. We enjoyed our experience at 1700 Degrees! The ambiance was quiet and subdued while eclectic at the same time. Our server was very attentive and friendly, as were her supporting staff. The food was cooked to perfection and flavorful. My husband got the Waygu Steak and I got the Filet; both were exceptional. If we were to be nit-picky, the cutting board that my husband's steak came out on was a little big, but other than that, everything was amazing. Worth every penny. - W

The only drawback was that the tables are rather large for two persons. If you are a couple you should ask for a 4 seated table and sit on a corner so that you would be a little closer together. - SV

The food and the service are excellent. I celebrated my birthday and they made it special with the attention. I highly recommend this place for any special occasion. The only thing I recommend is that they adhere to a high standard dress code. This place is too elegant not to have a business casual dress code. - DC

The food was extremely good. We started with Oysters Rockefeller, which were very enjoyable. The seasoning was not to my liking as some I've had elsewhere, but they were very good. I enjoyed the wedge salad, which was pre-cut and easy to handle, while my wife enjoyed her soup. We shared the Porterhouse steak and it was cooked to perfection and was very tender and flavorful. The wines offered also met with our complete satisfaction. We thought our dinner was exceptional and we look forward to returning on our next El Paso visit. - K
