Had Dinner with my Husband on my 80th. birthday. We were at the hotel for the weekend. Made a reservation and asked for a window seat to look at the ocean. They put us on the other side of the restaurant. I ask about the window seat but was told They could not do this.
We looked at a empty table with a beautiful view all night and no one sat there. Do not understand what the problem was. Not very accommodating.
It was perfect ! Great food and ambiance our waitress was amazing great service, polite, very friendly and approachable Thank you so much for this great night
First time here and I will be back! Very nice atmosphere and the food and service were great.
What a great night. We were celebrating out 36th anniversary and everything was perfect. From cocktails out on the deck overlooking the ocean to amazing food for dinner, couldn't have asked for better. The service was fantastic...the place was hopping yet we felt well cared for and just the right amount of checking in.
Excellent and beautifully served food, attentive staff, amazing ocean views. Just a great evening on the waterfront in Gloucester. Was too chilly to sit outside, but we dine out last summer. Just fantastic. Thank you!
Wonderful as always! Celebrating a birthday, such fun
Excellent restaurant. The waitstaff and management were very nice. They also catered to my gluten free / celiac diet - and have amazing options!!!!
Excellent food and outstanding service
The view from the dinning room is also amazing
Afternoon Monday lunch. Food, atmosphere, service and view was great. The waiter knew I was there for a friends birthday. I was not able to tell him to bring a candle in a dessert and it didn't look like anyone was going to order a dessert. Waiter took the initiative and brought one yummy dessert with can candle and four spoons, on the house. Now that's what I call Exceptional service!!
I’ve been numerous times and always loved The Beauport. Disappointed this time. Roasted potatoes were ice cold. Roasted carrots weren’t cooked enough to even cut into bite sized pieces. Food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen.
Great birthday dinner celebration for 5 of us. Food and drinks were wonderful. Had the Lobster Ravioli, Tuna Poke, Roasted Chicken with vegetables, Crab Cake with a Caesar Salad. Waitress was wonderful-very nice about re-doing a drink order that was mixed up. Coffee and dessert made the finishing touch. Beautiful view of the water from the dining room. Will definitely be back.
Loved it! Awesome food and service. Can’t wait to go again
Great atmosphere, view , food and service
Amazing waterfront views. Brand new construction with authentic rustic nautical themed interior (wood paneling). Outdoor seating in summer with outdoor fire pit and lounge seating area. Would be perfect for weddings. Food was fresh, some items a bit under-seasoned but overall delicious. Excellent service.
Everyone was very nice and helpful. Food was delicious.
Menu offered good options. Service was outstanding. Food was excellent. I like the ambiance and quite of the dining room.
Lovely setting for weekend brunch especially Sunday. Wide open view of Gloucester harbor which is just spectacular on a sunny day! Quiet ambiance conducive to conversation. The menu has nice variety. A great way to enjoy the start of your weekend days!
Beauport is a beautiful place. The architecture and interior design is outstanding and the lobby very inviting, a great place to sit and people watch, very relaxing. The gift shop is a delight and something is always purchased with each visit. I missed him on this visit but Concierge Beauport Bob is the best. He is a true representation of the spirit of Beauport, always welcoming!
Wonderful service, great food--a place for special occasions. jf
Having lived in Gloucester I am very familiar with most of the local restaurants. Beauport shines next to I would dare say all of them. We went for lunch and found drinks, food, service and view magical. I am there occasionally now and certainly will go again.
Valentine’s Day dinner was delicious. Our waitress Amy, was very nice. All in all, a great experience. Everyone was happy and helpful. Will definitely come again
It was a beautiful winter day...The sun was like diamonds on the Atlantic.Friends were meeting for lunch and we had a delightful experience. The food was delicious. Our waiter was great .A perfect day!!
We had a wonderful dinner at 1606. We were seated at a comfortable booth as requested that looked over the dining room. Our server, Lee Ann, was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. Each of our entrees was cooked to perfection and nicely presented. Our friend had the haddock, tender and flakey; my husband had the Delmonico steak, delicious melt-in-your-mouth tender, and I had the lobster ravioli which was stuffed with chunky pieces of lobster and an additional few pieces in the cream sauce. We all shared two desserts: creme brûlée and bread pudding which were amazing. Looking forward to dining here again when we can sit outside and enjoy the view.
Gloucester needed a good hotel with a decent restaurant and this fits the bill. The staff were delightful, and the food is very good. I had a half portion of lobster ravioli which was more than enough and had plenty of lobster. My husband had the scallops which were delicious. We each had a glass of wine which were very healthy pours. This is a must see restaurant in the summer/fall as the views are gorgeous and sitting on the deck is delightful. That said, we were there for a winter dinner and it was perfectly cozy. The bar is great!
The restaurant decor is beautiful along with the entire lobby and hotel.
fantastic service, delicious food with lots of options
Just such a pretty room, enticing us to linger and we never felt rushed
We all got the surf and turf and loved it! The filet was done perfectly and the lobster tail was also excellently grilled.
New Year's Eve dinner at Beauport. Food was excellent, service was terrific. A bit crowded at the bar waiting for table-there was a wedding going on-everyone seemed to be having a great time-mix of wedding guests and locals watching football. Great to hang out with friends as well as a nice place for a special occasion dinner. Terrific view of the water.
Went there for Christmas Day lunch (2:00pm). Service was terrible: no salad fork, had to ask for a bread basket (that everyone around us was getting), I was handed my dinner plate which was extremely hot (server should have put it down in front of me), dessert was served before we finished our meal (so ice cream melted), the check was presented before I finished dessert, check was given to me to sign without dirty plates removed from in front of me. It wasn't extremely busy to excuse so many mistakes. Food was average at best. I won't be going back.
the reservation system is a complete disaster, the service was very slow, we had a 2 :00 pm reservation arrived at 1:40 if we did not ask to be seated at2:20 we might be still waiting. the dining room was 30% full!!! waiters etc standing around with nothing to do will not RETURN.
Unfortunately, my Hubby and I ran into a few issues. When I made the reservation, I phoned prior to chat about the menu since we had breakfast reservations. When we arrived, I was told it was a breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, upon looking at the choices, I have an allergy and saw that ingredient in many of the choices. So, I stopped someone and the Management did accommodate me so I could order from the regular menu. I thought the English muffin wasn't as I specified - grilled and didn't like that it was already buttered when I requested the butter on the side. Overall, the restaurant and location is beautiful, however the food wasn't great. My Husband did have the buffet and thought it was just okay. We did look at the dinner menu and may consider giving dinner a shot at a later date, but won't be in a hurry to go back.
Love this place, especially around the holidays- such a festive feel. Dining is great- noise level is perfect for catching up and having conversations with friends. Relaxing feel- food choices excellent! The decor is very well done- have been there several times and will continue to come
Can’t put my finger on it but something was missing. The service was great. We were going to be seated in a booth and when I asked for a table they accommodated me without hesitation. The duck wings were spectacular. The fisherman’s Portuguese stew was the weak link. Uninspiring actually. Everything was amazing!!
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our anniversary there last night. The cocktails were outstanding - recommending the Cider Margarita and the Thyme after Thyme! My husband had the pan roast scallops and I had the seared salmon. Both dishes were wonderful, except that the sauce on my dish was a tad bit salty which kind of stayed with me through the night, made with soy sauce I believe. They should use the low salt version to give the same taste without the high sodium content. Desserts were nice; husband wasn't overjoyed with the apple crisp, I opted for the peppermint ice cream pie - yummy! The service was outstanding, from the host stand to the wait staff. Given that we had a total of 4 alcoholic beverages, an appetizer, two entrees, two desserts, two coffees - the tab was very reasonable. We have dined there in groups and enjoyed the bar with drinks and snacks - never disappointed.
We love Beauport! Beautiful for Christmas! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Great place for a special occasion!
The hotel was decorated beautifully for the holiday. The bar is extremely large with plenty of seating. We chose to take our cocktails to the couch to sit more comfortably and enjoy the scenery. The food was awesome. I had the Portuguese fish stew which was a full of plenty of seafood and a huge portion. My husband had the sirloin that was cooked to perfection!
BEAUPORT ALL OUR FOOD WAS AWESOME. HAD TO ASK SERVER TO CHECK WITH CHEF FOR SWORDFISH USED TO BE ON MENU NOT ANY MORE BUT THEY HAD IT TO PREPARE AND 2 OF US GOT IT JUST AS GOOD AS IT USED TO BE. HADDOCK WAS EXCELLENT STEAK WHILE NOT DISAPPOINTING RE FLAVOR IT DID HAVE MORE GRISLE THAN A STEAK IN THAT PRICE RANGE SHOULD HAVE
The restaurant is warm and friendly. The food is usually very good. They made one change
that is a bummer, they replaced the Coconut Curry mussels with a new broth which is tasteless.
Please bring back the coconut curry, it has zing.
Another great dinner- great place- excellent service-
Beautiful space, but our reservation for six was not ready even though it was made a week in advance and the restaurant called to confirm a day or two before. A minor inconvenience, but the filet advertised as "center cut tenderloin" was not center cut. The wait staff was excellent, the food was disappointing.
We have had Excellent meals each time we go! Birthday and anniversary dinners. A bit on the pricey side.
