Valentine’s Day dinner was delicious. Our waitress Amy, was very nice. All in all, a great experience. Everyone was happy and helpful. Will definitely come again
It was a beautiful winter day...The sun was like diamonds on the Atlantic.Friends were meeting for lunch and we had a delightful experience. The food was delicious. Our waiter was great .A perfect day!!
We had a wonderful dinner at 1606. We were seated at a comfortable booth as requested that looked over the dining room. Our server, Lee Ann, was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. Each of our entrees was cooked to perfection and nicely presented. Our friend had the haddock, tender and flakey; my husband had the Delmonico steak, delicious melt-in-your-mouth tender, and I had the lobster ravioli which was stuffed with chunky pieces of lobster and an additional few pieces in the cream sauce. We all shared two desserts: creme brûlée and bread pudding which were amazing. Looking forward to dining here again when we can sit outside and enjoy the view.
Gloucester needed a good hotel with a decent restaurant and this fits the bill. The staff were delightful, and the food is very good. I had a half portion of lobster ravioli which was more than enough and had plenty of lobster. My husband had the scallops which were delicious. We each had a glass of wine which were very healthy pours. This is a must see restaurant in the summer/fall as the views are gorgeous and sitting on the deck is delightful. That said, we were there for a winter dinner and it was perfectly cozy. The bar is great!
The restaurant decor is beautiful along with the entire lobby and hotel.
fantastic service, delicious food with lots of options
Just such a pretty room, enticing us to linger and we never felt rushed
We all got the surf and turf and loved it! The filet was done perfectly and the lobster tail was also excellently grilled.
New Year's Eve dinner at Beauport. Food was excellent, service was terrific. A bit crowded at the bar waiting for table-there was a wedding going on-everyone seemed to be having a great time-mix of wedding guests and locals watching football. Great to hang out with friends as well as a nice place for a special occasion dinner. Terrific view of the water.
Went there for Christmas Day lunch (2:00pm). Service was terrible: no salad fork, had to ask for a bread basket (that everyone around us was getting), I was handed my dinner plate which was extremely hot (server should have put it down in front of me), dessert was served before we finished our meal (so ice cream melted), the check was presented before I finished dessert, check was given to me to sign without dirty plates removed from in front of me. It wasn't extremely busy to excuse so many mistakes. Food was average at best. I won't be going back.
the reservation system is a complete disaster, the service was very slow, we had a 2 :00 pm reservation arrived at 1:40 if we did not ask to be seated at2:20 we might be still waiting. the dining room was 30% full!!! waiters etc standing around with nothing to do will not RETURN.
Unfortunately, my Hubby and I ran into a few issues. When I made the reservation, I phoned prior to chat about the menu since we had breakfast reservations. When we arrived, I was told it was a breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, upon looking at the choices, I have an allergy and saw that ingredient in many of the choices. So, I stopped someone and the Management did accommodate me so I could order from the regular menu. I thought the English muffin wasn't as I specified - grilled and didn't like that it was already buttered when I requested the butter on the side. Overall, the restaurant and location is beautiful, however the food wasn't great. My Husband did have the buffet and thought it was just okay. We did look at the dinner menu and may consider giving dinner a shot at a later date, but won't be in a hurry to go back.
