                              We both had the seared scallop entree; it was beautifully presented and delicious although it could have arrived warmer.

                              Our family had another wonderful dinner at our favorite restaurant The 1606! Service was excellent and did not feel rushed even though it was quite busy.

                              My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at 1606 and wanted a very special evening. We got it! When we arrived, we were greeted by our server, Libby W., who knew this was a special occasion, and we got a very private booth. Libby is one of the best servers we have had! We had already decided that this would be a night to try the Champlain Tower, with assorted seafoods including clams, oysters, shrimp, haddock ceviche, crab claws, and lobster tail. It was fresh and delicious. we drank an Austin Hope Chardonnay, perfectly crisp for the seafood. We were served warm oatmeal bread with sweet onion butter as well. After the seafood tower, we completed the meal with the chicken meatballs and fried calamari with peppers. For dessert, we took Libby's suggestion and had the Banana Trifle. It was extraordinary. Throughout the evening, the pace of the service was excellent. We had time to completely enjoy the seafood, and when we had enjoyed it, and only then, were we asked what else we might like. Although we did not NEED a dessert, we devoured the banana trifle with pleasure. Our meal lasted 2 hours, and we appreciated the opportunity to have a leisurely meal in a beautiful setting.

                              My hubby and I decided to try this restaurant and we were thrilled with the meal. The crab dip appetizer was absolutely amazing! We loved the food and the service was pretty good. We only saw our server a few times and we had to wait a while for my hubby to order dessert. The server was lovely but perhaps too busy?! All in all, we would go back in a heart beat to eat that crab dip appetizer!

                              I have been here several times and it never disappoints. The food selection was excellent. All of our dishes were perfect. Our server could not have been nicer or more personable. She really helped make our visit memorable.

                              We have been to 1606 Restaurant and Oyster Bar many times over the past six years. It is always good with a great atmosphere and excellent service. This time, however, it was absolutely amazing. The menu has been updated, and the salmon meal was one of the best ones I've ever had anywhere. Our entire party of five was thrilled with their selections as well as our seasonal cocktails. Outstanding all the way around!

                              It was our 36th wedding anniversary. My wife and I sat on the deck as the sun set and it was beautiful. As for the food, my wife liked her Gnocchi, but my Ribeye and vegetables were very mediocre. I could cook a better-tasting steak on my grill. Pretty disappointed.
