16 ON THE PARK
We do not cater to nor will we provide space to under-age guests any time after 5:00pm for dinner parties. Please note, that every effort will be made to accommodate each guest. However reservations that show up more than 15 minutes late will lose their reserved table space.
Good Service from Ms. Joy!!!! That is all. I had reservations for a place that doesn't seem like you need them, but it was a nice ambiance, just not what I expected.
This venue validated my valet parking and had my table ready by the time I came. The do not separate the check for parties of 5 but they did accept all of our cards as no one paid in cash. Great server and service was superb can’t wait to come back!
Its definitely a place that we will go back to again. Would love to eat on the roof top, the view is to die for. Angelique was our server , she was pleasant and efficient and even took a picture for us. The food was excellent especially the sea food alfredo.
Fast great food.
The hostess was busy with the only party in the room when I came in, and the rest of the wait staff was off the floor, but the sous chef greeted me with a handshake and a menu. I told him I had a reservation, but he said that it was not necessary. I said I had an Open Table reservation--something that appeared not to have a meaning for him. The trumpeted view of the Baltimore skyline were not there. Most of the tables overlook HVAC equipment on an adjacent building. The rest overlook the outdoor terrace, beyond which one can barely make out a flat landscape in the distance with the top of a church tower. Once I was seated I had to wait several minutes for a server. I ordered the crab salad with a side sandwich and a glass of sauv blanc. While the wine came out in five minutes, the food took another 15 to 20. As to the food: it is basic coffee shope fare. The restaurant does not have it together
Pre-Birthday 50th connection with friends
We thought everything was perfect. We hit at Happy Hour and the appetizers were only $5:00 each. My family and I each got two and we shared. Both my husband and Daughter are still talking about how much they loved the crab dip two days later. My husband even kidded about driving 3 hours up and 3 hours back to get some more. Ha! Ha! Everyone was very friendly and polite.
It depends. I
d like to try another couple of dishes before saying yes or no.
it was great
Beef ribs was tender and had good flavor.
The staff was warm and friendly. Our waiter had us laughing from the word hello. For the people who hadn't been there, they vowed to return.
I'm sorry to say bad service and even worse food. The good news is that now that I know I'll never make that mistake again.
Great place to bring friends and family love the atmosphere and service was excellent, it’s alway nice to be nice thanks
The service was trash. The food took forever to come out and the waiter had a nasty attitude.
This is a great restaurant unfortunately we had a few mishaps today that were quite disappointing, however the food and service what great and I will return once again! I believe in second chances. They just had so.e organizational mishaps today.
It is always a great experience there. Thank you so much!
Lovely location in hotel with outside area. High ceilings with hard floor make it a noisy space with only a few people. Service from staff was excellent. Food was late arriving, appetizer and entree arrived at the same time one dish was cold and another over cooked. Wine and other drink excellent.
First time visitor. The appetizers took a long time to come out. I ordered chicken wings and crab cake sliders. If the wait for food is more than 20 minutes, they should inform the guest. The main course came out right after the food and I didn’t have an appetite to eat it because I was still eating the appetizer. Food was very very very delicious. For the main course I got the salmon BLT and the shrimp and crab Alfredo. I was surprised to see children running around. Overall for the experience I’d give it a B.
First timer def will be returning😉loved the atmosphere. Got a little loud later in the evening when it was more crowded.
This was not AT ALL what I envisioned of a rooftop restaurant that came highly recommended. It was way too noisy. I requested a table outside but when I arrived I was advised the outdoor patio would be closed due to the ‘possible’ upcoming storm. There were way too many staff associates just hanging around but the bartender not sure of her name was extremely nice & welcoming. My Brussels sprouts came out scorched and the wine tasted watered down. Yes, it was house wine & $5 for happy hour so I should’ve passed on it because it gave me a headache. The menu was limited which would have been ok but between the noise level, the cheap wine & burnt appetizer we gave up & chose to go elsewhere. Maybe it’s good for out of town hotel guest or happy hour for those that work in the vicinity but I won’t return. Maybe my expectations were too high......so I’ll pass! And let me add....the description of the view is what made us decide to want to try this place. What a joke!!!! Metal towers in which steam escapes off the top of a building...hardly what I call a view of the skyline. It’s safe to say I won’t be returning!
I work in The School of Public Health building and we frequent happy hour. My favorite place right now.
The service was great and I loved the food. Beautiful scenery I’m glad I had my birthday dinner there
My first time here food and service was excellent i will be returning
Great service great food friendly environment wonderful scene will be coming back real soon
The overall experience was okay. As an Event Coordinator for Coppin State University, my position is services. From my arrival to campus, the process to get to the restaurant was an issue. The elevator would not go to Level P without a badge however no one was in place to provide that service.
Once I reached the restaurant I had to greet the host and that should never be the case. The host is the front line of your establishment, their appearance and demeanor is critical to the experience for guests; they set the stage. I had major issues with their attire. 16 on the Park is listed online as a 4 star restaurant. I would say that is a not accurate. One host had on jeans and a green t-shirt and the other had on jeans and a random top. Most 4 - 5 star restaurants require all black attire or some form of a uniform. Once seated the waiter did not bring water. I had to ask him for waters all the way around the table. Once the food was ordered it took 25 minutes for items to come out. Once they arrived the Shrimp and Crab Alfredo was more like mac and cheese with seafood on top. The consistency of the crab dip was of water. Overall based upon this last experience I would not recommend this location. I am suggesting change of management or retraining for the front of the house. Back of the house requires adjustments to cooking technics and or possible menu changes. Also a dress code for guests
should be put in place.
Tried something new for our Anniversary this year. Amazing little place in the part of @Baltimore you don’t hear about on the news. Great food, ambiance and service. Our hostess Aaliyah was the best. I even commented to the mgr because so often they only hear the bad news. Can’t wait to go there again...... #16onthepark
Excellent service. The food was outstanding. The crabcakes sliders were awesome. The wings were flavorful and tasty.
Everything is always superb at 16 on the Park. JHTV uses them quite regularly and we like them a lot.
Awesome views from the rooftop deck Love love he outdoor seating options. Food is affordable and delicious.
Great Ambiance and the drinks were very well made. It would have been great if the television was on outside on the patio, but other than that, it was a nice place.
Amazing seafood to pasta ratio! The crab dip was pretty good too (very filling)! Our waitress Juliana was great! I randomly thought to go to a local spot in my backyard and check the place out and will definitely be back again, and very soon! Whewwwwww
Decent price point too considering how much food you get, and the view is very nice. I wonder what it looks like at night!
We went to 16 on the Park before attending an event in the city. First, the menu online is outdated. The restaurant looked more like a hospital cafeteria than a restaurant. The food was bland and unseasoned and the service was terrible. We got our food before we got our drinks. The manager was accommodating and apologetic but I’d never patronize this establishment again. Not even if the food was free.
All of the food was great! We shared several appetizers (Deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts, crab dip) and two people had the shrimp and crab Alfredo and the rest of us ordered more crab dip a d Brussels sprouts. Service was very slow but we spent our time talking so it wasn’t too bad to us. However it wasnt busy at all so I’m not sure why things were moving so slow. Will definitely come back!
Love the service and the food was awesome!! Not too pricey.
Our server was AMAZING!!! Emmanuel made sure that he was very transparent about the food and even met our needs as we were a little picky about the way we wanted our food cook. The ambiance we calm and serene. Will definitely be going back.
Had a great time, service and food were top notch. Thank you Dawn for making our dining experience great
Beautiful rooftop views and nice outdoor seating. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks, service is slow. We had an 8pm reservation and as the night got a little later guests were dressed in club attire. Didn't like that vibe. Food was fine.
This place is nothing but poor service and the staff look dirty and unprofessional. We waited 30 mins for drinks to only get the wrong drink. The appetizers came out 15 mins later after the drinks and they tasted poorly like they just threw it together . Me and my guest decided to not wait anymore and we left. Never again!
I stayed overnight at the Residence Inn at the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus because I had outpatient surgery early the next morning. The hotel was new and marvelous; the rooftop restaurant was not. I ably chose to eat there because it was convenient. Never again.
To sample the food I ordered three appetizers plus s vegetable side dish. The Maryland crab soup never came, which tells all regarding the service level. But, considering how bad the other dishes were, they probably did me a favor.
The best appetizer was the crab sliders, which were borderline good. The problem was they were dry and bland tasting. Some Old Bay spice would have helped and possibly some red cocktail spice. But really, one should not have to doctor up a chef’s mistakes.
I also tried the fish tacos, which were downright bad. The fish was deep fried, dry and tasteless. The two fillets were served on small tortillas so one could not wrap the tortillas around the fish and eat them by hand. I have eaten fish tacos on both coasts plus in Chicago. This was the worst - worse than those served in fast food restaurants like District Taco in DC.
Lastly, I tried the grilled Brussels sprouts, which received high grades from some reviewers. One forkful was enough. Nothing there to write home about.
I thin it is shameful that Marriott would build such a nice hotel in a needed location but then serve crap food in its only restaurant. The management should be replaced.
I surprised my husband with this restaurant on daye night, we loved everything on the happy hour menu. We plan to come back again!!!! Great prices!!!
