This is the best restaurant in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Every part of the dining experience is phenomenal.

Overpriced, overpriced and oh did I mention it was way overpriced? Made reservations not knowing they were for the “upstairs” dining room. Was looking for a light hearted fun evening and what we were hit with was a huge price tag.

The food was great. Everything we had was delicious. The sea bass was one of the best I have had. My wife and I shared the key lime pie. Next time I won’t share it. It was a little different but one of the best I have had.

Was recommended by a neighbor in Colorado so we checked it out and live it! Had reservations for upstairs. It got there an hour early so we could check out the bar and patio ! The spindley lobster was fabulous! (Had never even heard of that beforehand!) We will be back!

I have been here before and was disappointed this time. The rolls which were always so good were hard and stale-ish. I remember the raisin ones before One of our diners asked for just plain penne with sauce, no shrimp. I was shocked to see that there was no adjustment made to the price and we were charged $36 for a bowl of penne pasta! That was the end for me. My daughters chicken was also quite dry and unappetizing. The snapper was very good, which one would expect from a fishery. The crab cakes were also very good. Drinks were not great, somewhat watery. I will try again next time I'm in Ft. Lauderdale and hope that the experience is more like my first time than this last time.

All I can say is that the whole overall experience was amazing from the service, the meal to the desert. Great atmosphere, great scenery of the intercoastal while you eat. Coming back next time I'm in the area.

I had high hopes for this place. After reading the reviews and seeing pictures of the place I thought it was going to be much better then it was. The food was just ok, and for the price there's much better options out there in Ft. Lauderdale. The website and online photos portrayed this place in a much better light then it was. Food wasn't all that flavorful and it really didn't live up to the price tag.

I found the pricing rather high. $302.00 plus tip. I don't think there is any need for your pricing to be so high. I am a snowbird Massachusetts and I know how a 2 pound lobster tastes and your was more bitter then sweet. I was very disappointed. The other 3 people in my party enjoyed there food because I was paying for my Anniversary.

The food and service were excellent. We had a gorgeous view of the intracoastal and marina. It was noisy but I think that is because there were two large parties on our dining room. Overall very nice!

Everything was great until they refused to honor a free appetizer or dessert card despite us spending over $300 on our meal. The card stated nothing about specific requirements other than 2 entrees were to be ordered. We ordered 4 in our party.

Our waiter was fantastic but I can’t remember his
name :(
He lived in NYC for awhile and was an actor and musician. He was the best part of our evening although the food was exceptional, also!
Just an all around fantastic evening for us. Would recommend for everyone but a bit pricey. Downstairs less expensive I think. Plus huge tarpon outside.

After writing a bad review for this restaurant. I received a phone call from the restaurant's manager Kevin Burke. He apologized for the experience , that I had at his restaurant, and asked if I would try the restaurant again.
Since, we had been there before the incident, and enjoyed our experience, I figured to give the restaurant another chance. Well, it was a 180 degree transformation !! We were seated in a timely fashion, the service by Mr. Cummings was excellent, and the food was superb. Since then , we have been back twice , and have had an excellent experience each time!
In fact , I'm going again tonight with a large party to celebrate an event.
Thanks,
Pete

Excellent service and excellent food ! The wait staff was attentive without hovering, and made excellent suggestions/comments about portion size and "favorites". The desserts are HUGE - 4 of us shared the 2 suggested (brownie and key lime square), and either 1 would have been sufficient (but I am, glad that we tried both !)

From the minute we exited the taxi I knew it was a special place. The feel of a well established local restaurant was evident, warm welcome from the staff, seamless communication as we made our way to the second floor. We were seated at a lovely window table with a perfect view of the canal and the draw bridge too. Our waitress was fantastic attentive and informative but never intrusive. First a perfect dirty martini with some amazing little cheese and jalapeño puffs, so delicious. Then a salad of tomatoes and the creamiest burrata followed by a nightly special of Stone Crab Claws. We had the jumbo claws, they were large well chilled and so fresh, truly delicious. They were sweet with the most delicate taste, and the mustard sauce was the perfect accompaniment. I will recommend this restaurant and make it a must on a return visit to the area. Easy to see why it has been around for years.
