Great, creative food options. Outstanding service.
Excellent food, very attentive, warm service. They accommodated our table request easily and staff gave us a handwritten card, signed by all, for our special celebration. Highly recommend!
Every time we come to 1515 it is always such a pleasure. The food is always fabulous. The service is impeccable. Everything they do is 5 star.
Very nice atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food with an eclectic menu.
Restaurant was largely empty. Service was still rather slow. Food was really uninspired, rather bland, lot of sauce, didn't leave you feeling great. Wanted to like it, but with so many other great options at comparable price points I don't see the point of making a second trip.
Trout was amazing! So was the green salad with citrus dressing. My husband's filet was tender and delicious.
Appetizer was great we cut on the hot rock. Lobster Thermidor was a little overcooked and very small in portion.
We celebrated our 10th anniversary at 1515. There was a hand-written card at our table when we arrived and champagne to begin our evening. We enjoyed the cheese plate for our appetizer, four cheeses and fruit, chutney, mustard as well as honey and crostini. We shared the Caprese Salad. I had the Arugula and Red Pepper Linguine; divine. My husband loved the Colorado trio of elk, buffalo and quail. A creme brulee ended our dinner and it was exquisite. Everyone from the hostess to the servers was friendly, accommodating and made our anniversary dinner special. 1515 has so much to offer. We'll be back!
Amazing service with a smile. The staff were very attentive. Quiet environment and very delicious short ribs!
Very nice meal, very great service, very nice place that should be on everyone's list to visit. Upstairs dining room is away from bar area on first floor and they have separate room for large noisy groups. Well laid out and great preparation and presentation of meals.
Honestly the best Trout I've ever had. The service was unbeatable. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
Ate here for the first time before a show at the Ellie. It also happened to be our anniversary which we shared with the hostess when we arrived. We were greeted at our table with two glasses of champagne and a handmade Anniversary card. Totally unexpected. Our dinner was delicious. I recommend the cherries jubilee for dessert. It was the best we've ever had. It's a little on the pricey side, but the portion is huge and shareable. Service was impeccable to say the least. We had a great evening.
The waiter was very engaging and comical. Definitely helped explain the food and drink list well especially when we weren't sure of what to order. He made great recommendations. The food was very filling and cooked to liking, very delicious combinations of flavors. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night, girls night, or dinner with coworkers.
Excellent food. Very personal staff. Great experience.
Fantastic experience. Really good food, and they took such good care of us for our 25th Anniversary!
The hospitality was really amazing, from our greeting at the door all the way through the meal including a special visit by the manager, twice. Food was really good, and we appreciated the interesting ways to present and garnich/accompany the dishes - such as "blue cheese pearls"...interesting and delicious. Nice job on the steaks! Loved the depth of flavor with the French onion soup. Thank you to the staff, executive chef, and managers, really nice job. Hope to see you all again soon.
They did not provide bread. The waiter forgot our salad. One of the steaks was very overcooked, closer to well done than the medium rare which was ordered and the other was medium rare when ordered medium. Dessert was sub par. Will not be returning!!!!!!!
We went to 1515 for Mother's Day. They offered a lovely price fixe menu ($35 per person). The service was excellent and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be coming back.
What an amazing restaurant. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for such a wonderful seat. The staff, everything, made for a wonderful mother's day.
First time here, and loved it. Best kept secret in Denver. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Food was outstanding. Very intimate setting.
This was our first visit to 1515. Had an early res as we were going to DCPA for a 7:30 event. Service was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our time constraint. Great wine list - some great bottles at reasonable prices, given the quality. Food was consistently well-prepared and presented. We left with only one question: why wasn't this place full at 7 pm on a Saturday night? We walked by Capital Grille on our way to DCPA - it was mobbed. While I like CG, I will take 1515 as a great local alternative any day. We will definitely be back.
The flavor of the New York steak we ordered was ok not so tasty. I've tried better one with that price range.
My husband and I eat out quite often and we do not mind spending money on great food. We ordered the six course tasting menu and we were excited about trying several different menu items. We were very disappointed in each course as the flavor combinations were not at all appealing, nor were things as fresh as they should have been (dried up edges on the salmon as just one example). We both love fish and were looking forward to the cod dish; both the cod and the accompanying rice cake were truly inedible. Our waiter, although pleasant enough throughout the evening, only remarked "oh, I guess you hated the fish". Well, yes we did. The goat cheese cheesecake was a pleasant finish after such an unsatisfactory meal. The dinner would have been displeasing and unpleasant no matter the price, but it made it much more so considering our very pricey tab for awful food.
Wonderful multi course meal. Great appetizers. The wagu beef cooked in hot rocks is amazing. Lovely corn soup salads and great seafood and local meats. Expertly prepared with molecular accents. The chef owner Gene Tang came to great all tables as he does always with great joy.
The menu posted outside and the two menus we were given inside were all different. Server had to clarify an item we wanted to order. We had great service. Food was not as high quality for the price. Side dish was not what was on the menu. The A/C was on so it was very cold in the dining room. Asked two separate people if it could be adjusted. The lobster lollipops were delicious. Did not have enough options for wines by the glass and of the four specialty cocktails listed, they did not have the ingredients for one of them (of course, the one I ordered). Too cold to stay for dessert.
I eat at 1515 Restaurant frequently and have only had exceptional meals. I have found it to be one of the top 3 restaurants in the Denver metro area. Dining here is a great experience. It's perfect for a date night.
The chef/owner made us feel welcome and gave us a lot of creative leeway with adjustments to the menu for the rehearsal dinner I am planning for 40 people. They have two rooms plus a bar area downstairs. The quality of the food was amazing and the Asian flair is in each dish. You get what you pay for but everything taste so fresh and high quality.
The food was relatively yummy but it took incredibly long to get the food we ordered. It was really frustrating that way. The owner came around to tables and spent significant amounts of time talking to everyone except he just briefly said hi to the table my fiance and I were at. This is presumably because we're much younger, but it was still bothersome. The dining area is packed with tables with a low ceiling so the conversations are much louder than I'd like in an intimate setting.
Occasionally I hear that Restaurant Week is a terrible time to go to a nice restaurant, because the staff will assume that people who like restaurant weeks are a lower caliber of diner and therefore they can get away with a lower caliber of food. It's possible that I was a victim of that attitude at 1515 Restaurant. My impression, though, was that this is the kind of restaurant where you pay for the decor and the ambiance, not necessarily the ingredients.
The food was fine, but $36 per entree is a lot of money for just acceptable. My sous vide steak had a lovely sauce, but the interior was much more stringy than I would have expected for a steak at that price point. My husband's buffalo shortribs were very bland, with much of the dish's flavor coming from the mashed sweet potato side. Some other elements of the dinner were quite nice--the garlic bisque was truly delicious, the desserts were lovely, and the service was fabulous.
The servers were so wonderful, in fact, that even though I didn't have the heart to complain to them about our entrees, one of them must have picked up on our disappointment and brought us a $20 gift certificate with our check. The restrictions placed on that certificate, though, mean we'll probably never use it--it requires a minimum purchase of two entrees, and given the normal entree prices and how underwhelmed we were, I'm unlikely to return. My husband and I like to use Restaurant Week to try places we've never been before, and we've discovered several new favorites in the process. I'm sad to report that 1515 will not be one of those. Our three-course Restaurant Week meal cost $35 per person, and though this is rather less than full price on the regular menu, it still felt overpriced even at a discount.
TL;DR: too expensive for what you get, IMO. Other diners looked very happy--especially those with wine. Perhaps a good pairing enhances the meal, though I prefer when my meal shines on its own.
Very friendly staff, delicious and creative variety of dishes-a great night.
