Food was bland at best. The meat was poor quality. Services was less then attentive.
We were a party of 6 for the Denver restaurant week on a Saturday night at 7. Great night and perfect time! They were running late which was fine because we had cocktails at their beautiful bar. I had one issue with my steak being over cooked and the waiter immediately took it away and gave me a replacement cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and food and atmosphere are top notch.
Food was very flavorful. However, my steak was medium well when I had ordered medium rare. Disappointing.
Food was basic. Decent but nothing spectacular. Great service though!
The owners / chef walk around meeting Customer’s and checking ion the experience. Very nice family establishment.
I used to love this place. I went for restaurant week last week and was very disappointed. The appetizer that we really wanted was on the publicized internet menu, but was not on the in restaurant menu. We ordered the Shredded Turkey Roulade and the sauce was overly tart and tasted sadly reminiscent of Kool-Aid. The puff pastry was undercooked. The dish was lukewarm at best. We then had the sous vide steak. The steak was cooked perfectly but it was very obvious that they used a much cheaper cut of beef than they have used in the past. One of my friends ate maybe 70% and then sent the rest away cause it "wasn't worth finishing." Lots of gristle and fat. The dessert was actually good so points there. The dessert and the wine were the best part of the meal. Overall, highly disappointed.
Everything was awesome! First time
I brought my boyfriend here. Only problem was my steak was cold when they brought it out. Still amazing taste though!
1515 was absolutely fabulous! We ate here for Denver Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint. The service was great and the chef came around to make sure everything tasted perfect, and it did! Will definitely be back for special occasions throughout the year.
The food, ambience and the waiter were all exceptional especially the waiter!
Great food flavor and combinations, great atmosphere!
The food was really good, but the staff really didn’t pay attenuation. even though they were really fast, efficient, and super nice, my drink was taken away before I was done with it, and we didn’t get utensils for the desert.
The restaurant week menu was delicious! The service was wonderful. An overall amazing experience and meal.
We were a party of 4 and visited during Denver Restaurant Week. We all thought the food was good, but not spectacular and not good enough for us to return and pay full price. 2 people in the party we disappointed in the deviations from the special menu found on the Denver Restaurant week website. The Duck Leg Confit Roulade was substituted with turkey and the New York cut steak was grilled, not sous vide. I know menus can change during such a popular event, but we all felt like it was purposeful.
We selected 1515 Restaurant to try during restaurant week. The building was very interesting and had a cool vibe. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was good.
The food was delicious and the service was top of the line. We had never been before and had been wanting to try it for a long time. It was a special occasion for us so we finally went and are so glad we did. The tables are nicely spaced so you don’t feel like you’re crammed in next to anyone else. The service was excellent, we were very well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place for nice occasions.
We were delightfully surprised by 1515. We came on Denver Restaurant Week. The Popcorn Bisque was delightful and amazing. The Predator and Prey was everything everyone has written about. The trout was sweet and delicious. The presentation of the risotto was only a premonition of how wonderful it tasted. The New York cut sous vide steaks were lean and quite tender and delicious. The Creme Brulee was a wonderful ending to the meal. The evening was enhanced by the excellent service by our server, Stephanie as well as the tremendous hospitality by owners and Chef Gene Tang and his wife Paula. Thank you.
Terrible. They had no ide what they were doing, knew nothing about wine or the food they served. It was truly a surreal experience. Worst restaurant experience ever!
Everything was great but the main waitress would look angry the second she turned around
Delicious food and nice, quiet atmosphere. I got the ciopinno and my fiancée got the Berkshire pork. Both meals exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back!!
We dined here on Valentine’s Day and even though we were early, we were escorted to our table and my wife was given a red rose (nice touch!). The restaurant had a limited menu, since it was Valentine’s Day. While the food was delivered in a timely manner, it was not hot and the portion sizes were small, especially for the price ($70 per person for four courses). The baked Brie was not melted and seemed to have been sitting. The Lobster tail was very small, cold and the butter sauce was cold as well. The molten lava cake for desert was undercooked and did not taste very good. It was not impressive and lacked on execution. We did mention to the waitress that we were not impressed and that we felt the food was not worth the price. The manager came and spoke with us and offered to provide a discount, which we accepted. All in All, this restaurant did not live up to the recommendations and hype.
Great customer service!
Ordered a Hendrick’s martini with cucumber. They did not have any cucumbers but made the drink anyway and brought it to the table. Appetizer was a stuffed puff pastry that was very undercooked and tasted like it was microwaved. We brought this to the staffs attention and they said “we don’t have a microwave” - not acknowledging that the real issue was the real issue was the undercooked pastry. They did make a different appetizer that was good. Ordered lobster Thermidor - way too much cheese.
The food was delicious, however the butter that came with the bread was very hard. Couldn't spread it with a knife. Sorry, one of my pet peeves!
Always Spectacular. We enjoy Gene (owner and chef) every time we go. He is just lovely. Great formal dining without pretention (and we have been going for seven years). Great wine list and the servers know both the wine list and the menu (great pairing suggestions).
Overpriced food and wine. Service was good but cocktails and food were just ok.
Sub standard for the previous reviews? I would guess this won't last long.
Excellent dining experience. The various Colorado game offerings were delicious and highly recommended. Large selection of interesting wines. Excellent service and attention to details by the owner and the knowledgeable service staff. We will be back !
Fantastic food, great service! Highly recommended.
The food was wonderful. There was a private event in the main dining room (they had called and let us know) so we ate downstairs, the downstairs was not the best ambiance but it was quiet and the staff was fantastic!!! We had a great time.
Quite disappointed - I prefer not to blog about it.
Wonderful dinner out, delicious filet mignon, and caesar salad. Gene and Paula are delightful owners of this great restaurant!!! We so enjoyed seeing them again after so many years of our absence from Denver.
Due to the nature of my work as an IT consultant and my love of all things gastronomic, I've had the good fortune to patronize a number of high end establishments throughout the US and a few in Europe. Our meal at 1515 in Denver definitely makes the top 10 list of best meals, possibly even the top 5. We did the six course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was, in a word, perfect. The duck confit was possibly the best I've had, and even my Epi-not-so-curious wife admitted that she loved the rabbit and rattlesnake sausage.
But what enhanced the meal even more was the service. Our server, Sam, was everything a professional should be: attentive but not intrusive; knowledgeable without being condescending and most of all, he made us feel like we were old friends who were in town and wanted to stop by for a good meal. He reminded me of how I tried to be in my salad days 25 years ago when I worked fine dinning while working my way through college.
Chef Tang personally brought out our dessert course and he and his wife Paula were gracious enough to talk with us for a while. It was a pleasure to meet them both and we appreciated their warmth.
If you are in Denver, and you appreciate good food and service, I would highly recommend 1515.
service was very poor and won't recommend this place to go dine
Date night with my wife. Our seat next to the window was perfect. Started with an Old Fashioned that was perfect. Moved on to a cheese plate and a San Simeon Cab. Perfect. We both had a filet that hit the spot. The wait staff was just attentive enough without being obtrusive. My wife has stated several times since how much she enjoyed dinner and wants to go back. See you next time...
The wine was amazing but, although tasty, my lamb and pork rib were overcooked while the chickpeas were hard and undercooked. The spinach also had too much basil and lemon.
They cared very much that we enjoyed ourselves and that we loved the food. They were out of something and apologized and sent after dinner drinks. The food was unique and delicious. Very friendly staff
Successful anniversary dinner at the perfect spot downtown. OG Colorado feel to it, which nice, and Gene prepares an amazing 7x Wagyu that's totally worth it.
Wonderful! Owner came to table several times to describe dishes! Rec their several course dinner with wines!
Had a wonderful dinner at 1515. I would recommend the 8 course meal with wine pairing. We subbed the wagyu ribeye for a small fee and it was absolutely incredible
We did the eight course tasting menu this Thursday. The first two courses were composed of escargot and soft shell crab that had been dead and lying on the ocean floor for many moons. Our steak tasted like it had come from a deceased squirrel off broadway street. The cheesecake and service was amazing.
