Beautiful evening. Miguel was a great server... very attentive and on point. The outdoor space was the BEST in NYC. Very romantic evening for our 35th anniversary ... we had the BEST time!!!!
Thank you
Love the new outdoor dining experience and the menu combined with Tocqueville. Beautiful outdoor setting, and all the favorites are still available. Wonderful all around.
My new favorite high end sushi in Manhattan. Omikase was perfect, with some creative pieces and a high quality range of more typical pieces. Service was correct but not stuffy or arrogant.
We came for my boyfriends birthday and for the first time he was genuinely impressed with the menu, drink options and quality of the food. I’m so glad I found 15 East as we both love sushi. Staff is great, very quick and friendly. It’s very quiet which is great, so you can actually talk and listen to who you’re with. Thank you for such a great experience! Highly recommend.
Great food, special and friendly service, and a quiet, sober dinning room. Special and apt to be back anytime.
We had a wonderful meal at 15 East. The service was friendly and informative, and the food was delicious. The Tuna flight was out of this world. The waiter was very kind to us, splitting my husband's after dinner drink into two glasses so I could have a share of it. Can't wait for next time!
fantastic experience loved it will go back again what treat would recommend this to everyone
although pricey not as much as I expected and it was worth it
cannot wait to go back
The tofu was exceptional and recalled memories of Kyoto. The yellow tail tasting was also enjoyable although the soy sauce distinctions were quite subtle. The rolls , however, were disappointing in relation to both presentation and price. They could be found all over town for much less. Noise level was surprisingly high for a spare intimate Japanese setting.
They took way too long to seat us down. There was not a lot of communication between the restaurant and the people waiting
My only complaint was that we booked a reservation for 8:30pm and did not get seated until 9pm. But I guess that's NYC on Valentines Day :)
Great job!
We love this place! Everything is perfecto 👌🏼
Best sushi
I had been going to 15 East for years, but 2/3 sushi chefs were very rude this time. Laughing at a customer's request is not OK. Very arrogant and the sommelier was kind enough to basically apologize on their behalf.
Unfortunately we felt the sashimi and sushi were not as good as in the past. Some of the fish was virtually tasteless. The texture of the fatty tuna was mushy. We have only had the Omakase dinner before and never the lunch. Very disappointing. Not sure after this we might not return.
Very very expensive...restaurant was practically empty. The waiter missed two things that the table ordered. Sushi was good but not worth the cost.
Another amazing lunch at 15 East. The combination between delicious treats from Sushi Bar and spectacular dishes from the kitchen is one of the kind. Thy have the best desserts from any Japanese Restaurant that I've dined before. Service is attentive but not intrusive.
100% Best Japanese Restaurant in NYC!
Great sushi and Omakase lunch special is a real value. Nice oasis in the middle of the city. Food, service, ambiance all great.
This is among the best sushi restaurants in NYC. The fish is exquisite and unlike many comparable sushi restaurants, this restaurant has plenty of sashimi on the menu as well as sushi and cooked Japanese food. The wine list is excellent as well
Best sushi in NYC and great service from the entire staff!
I had the miso soup as an appetizer. The soup was good and the warmth was appreciated on a cold day. I had the scallops with foie gras as an entree. It was very good.
Holiday family dinner
Fantastic menu, food presentation, and taste. Wonderful service — attentive and helpful, but not excessive. On the expensive side, but very high quality and well worth it.
Will recommend to friends and will eat there again and again.
Exquisite meal but grossly overpriced.
As always the food was incredible. Definitely one of the best sushi restaurants anywhere. Unfortunately
Great sushi, left my coat and came back a week later and they still had it.
Overpriced for the amount of food and quality.
It was just really expensive sushi 🤷🏼♂️
I was a bit disappointed in this highly ranked restaurant. My fish was overcooked and after they resent a new order they still charged me for the entree. I didnt want to raise a stink but will not come back.
the food was excellent. i especially enjoyed the uni flight and foie gras chawanmushi
Consistently great meal, year after year.
Best sushi restaurant in NYC.
beautiful restaurant with exceptional service and quality
Sadly this place seems to have lost its mojo, from the staff (who where pleasant) to the food it was just a little flat, maybe it was just a bad night?
Will return in our next trip to hopefully a more upbeat feel
Fish is very fresh. The food is at the perfect texture. However, the music is a bit too noisy.
Excellent food! the Tuna omakaze is a favorite!
Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Great service and overall very good food. Sushi was good but there are places with better quality within the same price range. Cost came to about 320 without the tip which was very reasonable. Would go again for the hot dishes and service alone. Also the Fuji Apple dessert was one of the best treats I have ever had!!
Amazing sushi, excellent service.
We made a reservation and were asked to leave because the next reservation was waiting for our table. How incredibly rude after spending an incredible amount of money on our dinner. Also the salmon entree that we ordered came out completely cold. It was absolutely disgusting
So So delicious. Fun setting, great service, and as always very fresh. I love to recommend this restaurant and at the same time I wish I could keep it all to myself because I want to make sure I can always get a table- it’s that good.
