Great experience m. We have been to 1492 several times, always enjoy it.
Staff was friendly and our waitress was exceptional.
The food was overpriced for what it was. The drinks were average. And the ambiance was not very good. They really need to address the odor that is in the bathroom, they have some sort of sewer leak. I enjoyed my experience at the mid-town location a lot better, even though it was still overpriced. Would not recommend going back to Casady Square location.
1492 never disappoints! Superb food and impeccable service.
Everything was very good. Only thing was there was a certain smell when we walked in and when we sat down. It smelled kind of nasty.
We love eating at 1492 in Midtown but it was booked for Cinco de Mayo so we made a reservation at the Casady Square 1492. This was our first time there. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, but Saturday night, May 5th, they were slammed for Cinco de Mayo and evidently not prepared. We ordered a round of drinks before ordering our meal and they came with no problem. We ordered our meal and I personally ordered some queso and requested it be delivered before our meal. Well, I never got my queso at all, before, during or after meal. We also ordered another round of drinks that never came. The food was delicious but we barely even saw our waiter, Alfredo, again that night except to bring us our check. Tables around us were getting their queso and their drinks, but for some reason we weren't. I don't totally blame Alfredo but the service that night was horrible. We're not sure if we will ever go back to that particular location.
We have dined here often and had a wonderful experience until tonight... Horrific experience, waited over one HOUR to receive our drink, which was NOT the drink we ordered. We will never return.
Waiter was amazing. He was knowledgeable of the menu, very pleasant, smiled, and was attentive but not pesty. He checked on us occasionally as we spent time visiting during our meal and we never felt rushed. The atmosphere was enjoyable and I loved the decor.
We really enjoyed the restaurant! The choices and the food were excellent! We had a great meal for 4 for $48+ tip. (We just happened to all order water). The food was outstanding for the price! If I have a negative, it was the noise level. It was difficult to hear at times. All in all, I would definitely go back!
Come here often. Food was exceptional today
Delicious! Loved that is was quieter than the location off of Western. The original queso is a must!
While We enjoy 1492 in mid town this was not a good experience. Service and food were terrible. I won’t be returning. Very excited to learn the Casady location existed since it is closer. But left not having enjoyed the experience.
Great Food, Great Service and great value. The margarita was very good too.
Delicious as usual, and had the Thunder special!
Good food and great service.
Food was amazing, menu choices awesome and service was perfect!!!!
Food was good but tepid. We had the duck enchiladas and chimichanga. The guacamole was great. Service was good.
We were expecting the experience to be equivalent to the 1492 located downtown. Unfortunately it was not nearly as nice. More appropriate for a quick bite after work versus a date night. We made a reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was barely occupied. They sat us in the bar which was fine until the bartender got busy. Had to wait awhile to get our check. Overall still a good night. Just different than we expected.
We were seated right away and our server was prompt and attentive. The food was good and affordable.
Kind and attentive service. Meal was only mediocre which is not what I’ve experienced when dining at the Midtown location.
Oh,my! First time at this location. Service was fantastic. Food was so good. Sangria was some of the best! Already planning a second visit.
1492 has great Mexican food. Chips & salsa are very good and if you like Queso, you should definitely order some here. If you order the white or the gold, you won't be disappointed. Always great food and service.
Excellent chips and queso. The fajita they use for the fajita salad is fantastic. They also know how to make a great margarita!
We had a 7:00 reservation on Sunday and got there on time. Unfortunately, the doors were locked and no one was there. The sign on the door clearly stated that they were open on Sundays. I called the downtown location and phone went directly into voice mail. Are they still in business?
If you're looking for ambiance, visit the Midtown location.
Good food but very long wait to get it, on a day that the restaurant wasn't crowded.
Good food, especially the Latin stir fry quesadilla (excellent) . Ambiance good but nearly too loud to hear the 3 people at my table.
Overall it was a good meal
we came in on a weekend night after an early movie and found it fairly quiet and open. There was a large group ina private meeting area but on the whole it was quiet and relaxing. Our server was very knowledgeable of specials and ingredients and recommended a great skinny margarita to start. The carnitas taco was great as was the 1492 queso and chips and salsa. The fish on the fish taco was bland and not warm enough for my taste. I hear this place is much busier on weekdays.
This was for a Sunday at 12:30. We were one of two parties when we arrived. The service was very slow, why, I don't know. The waitress forgot to deliver our appetizer until after we received the main course. I noticed a few incoming parties had to wait a bit for the greeter. He was on the other side of the column with his head down on his cell phone or not at the front entrance. One specialty item was disappointing, and the other was ok. We have previously had the standard Mexican menu before, and thought it was very good. Once the waitress got serious, she was friendly and helpful.
Food and service was great. The layout of the restaurant seemed too open and not intimate. Not sure how to describe, but just very different than the Midtown location.
Our first time. All food items were good. Nothing spectacular, but eminently enjoyable. The beer was great. Service was excellent. We will probably return to go to the bar and order appetizers.
1492 is always a sure bet that you are going to get good food and service.
I tried a new dish-the carnitas enchiladas with mole sauce. This gets added to my (lengthy) list of favorites!!
Great Food and Service! First visit with work friends. I use to go to the midtown location. It was not very crowd like midtown is at lunch. 12 of us LOVED the food and service!!
Our favorite place in all of OKC!
food was great!
The food was terribly greasy. Have eaten in midtown many times but first time at Cassidy and was disappointed. 1492 queso had grease floating on top. My son ordered a salad and there was grease all over the side of his bowl running down the outside and also on his dressing ramekin. He said the salad didn't taste good and only ate a little of it. I ordered chicken fajitas and when I picked up the guacamole and sour cream plate grease ran off it all down my shirt. I was really disappointed.
It was just ok. Food was good, just nothing exciting. Could use a little more ambiance. Too open .. can't really carry on a conversation without everyone at the next table hearing everything you have to say!!
We love 1492! Eat at the one in Midtown often. This was the first and last time we will eat at the one in Casady Square. The ladies at the front were rude and not welcoming at all and it was Mother's Day!
