The 1215 fine dining restaurant at Fairmont Windsor Park is set on our south lawn overlooking our private terrace and manicured gardens. An intimate and beautiful setting where you can enjoy a special occasion or indulge in a culinary experience which will make you want to return for our quality British cuisine. We are proud of the provenance of our locally grown products where we work with The Royal Farms, Windsor artisans and our very own herb and vegetable gardens. This restaurant was named in recognition of the signing of the Magna Carta in the year 1215. The Magna Carta, which is one of the most important documents in history and indeed of medieval England was signed only a short walk from the hotel in the historic grounds of Runnymede.

Once again, Tim and the team delivered an evening of culinary excellence – a flawless dining experience from start to finish. Friendly service, beautifully presented dishes, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Standouts included the rich, silky duck liver and delicate and light white asparagus starters. The lamb loin was perfectly cooked and full of depth, while the John Dory was light, and elegantly balanced with the rich sauce. A truly exceptional evening.

The staff were very welcoming on arrival. The tables were well spaced out and the noise level was minimal. The staff were very helpful and well informed on the menu. Their level of service was excellent throughout the evening. The food was amazing, from the little lobster/tomato amuse bouche, through to the great cheese and biscuits and dessert. The scallop was the best one we had all tasted in a very long time. The lamb and John Dory were beautifully cooked and the additional vegetables were exceptional. The palate cleanser was very different but really worked. We are looking forward to returning again to the restaurant and sampling different choices, except for the scallop.

Amazing food experience for our 10 y wedding anniversary. They made it really special. There was a 5 or3 course tasting menu. Even the bread and butter was amazing. Lots of explanation about the food. Really incredible details like tiny elderflowers. Great choice. The chef came out at the end to say say hi. An unforgettable treat.

This has to be one of best hotel experiences we’ve had in many years. The spa was fantastic. The 1215 restaurant was 10/10 but what made it for us was the staff throughout the whole hotel. We felt so welcome and looked after. Our only negative was the general prices of the breakfast and lunch (Greens), which were massively overpriced and need the be looked into, as it was too much for what we had. Apart from that, a lovely experience!

We ate from the alc menu with a bottle of house wine from the Duoro. The food was very well presented and full of flavour. Service was excellent. One of the best meals that we have had for a while.
