   Everything was very good, except the food. They need a chef and then it be a 5 star restaurant. I had the chicken fried steak for $37 and have had much better at a diner for $12, meat was tough and batter was tasteless, spouse had quail and batter was thick and strange tasting. Had breakfast at V6 and it was great, maybe move cooks to 12 Guage?

   Kesha was a delightful server! One of my party of 2 had been to the Gage, both to stay and to eat, several times (back when the fantastic cabrito was on the menu) and was a little disappointed at the entrees available now (not a beef eater) . We split the sea bass. One of us loved it and the other liked it. Ambience and customer service still great!!

   This very good restaurant is a great partner with the Gage Hotel. Amazing for such a small town to have this fine dining spot. The menu is short, but with quality appetizers and entrees. In fact, the fresh asparagus with soft boiled egg was so delicious and the these two items were perfect in taste, texture, and treat. The meat dishes are pretty expensive, especially the elk, so enjoyed the NY strip steak which was cooked nicely at medium rare. The fingerling potatoes side were too large and good, but not great. Cocktails are generous. Service by Amy was very attentive. Thank you.

   One person’s eggplant parmigiana came out cold so he sent it back to get it warmer and it came back out after everyone else had finished eating, so he just said forget it but it was still on our bill. The server did take it off after we pointed out that he never got it in time to eat it.

   Looked forward to dining here as before. Things have changed. Confusion about which waitress would wait on our table. Menu had only a few items and was not consistent with their posted menu. We were told it was because they had a new chef. Cesar salad was good. Otherwise just ok. Our previous experiences here were great. Sadly things change. Doubt we will stop thru here again.

   Service and food were amazing. Something new in the air here, a new energy and food was amazing!!! Mario’s Chicken fried steak is to die for!!

   The deviled eggs and tenderloin were wonderful. The cocktails are generous, service just perfect.

   The beet salad is off the charts and the cocktails were fantastic. Our waiter was top notch.

    Amazing restaurant in Marathon, especially given on Monday night there is only 1 other option. Service was excellent, food was great, drinks were also very good. My wife and I split the steak, it was plenty! Also had the deviled eggs, the bacon jamb on them is amazing.
