Wonderful restaurant design - you can choose between sitting in the chic front room with a long bar and, when we were there, live music, or a truly quiet table in a back room. Food was excellent with some extraordinary stand-outs - the truffle fries and a dessert, Belle Helene.

Basically the food is the best. The chef came from that French place downtown and the food is really well done. The drinks are second to none, it’s just like the bartender and the whole set up is like has an amazing Level of the perfect drink. The bar is this huge piece of stone lit up from underneath. It’s just gorgeous. I had oysters, the cheese and meat plate and a steak, the drinks were so correct- i felt like I had made it myself. Awesome experience in that they made me feel like they had nothing better to do than make sure my experience was perfect - unlike most places where everyone is run off their feet and the diner is left waiting. This place is great.

The drinks remain fantastic. The food menu has become boring (seafood chowder aside!) and overpriced. I will never get over a $16 order of fries. We were told that last call would be at 8:30, despite the website claiming they are open until 11 — super bizarre. Service was good and the ambiance is great.

If I could give my waitress more stars, I would. We had a small birthday party in the tea room, and she was incredible. We left with the biggest smiles and the best pictures.

What a gem of a place!! The hostess and server were the SWEETEST people! So attentive and charming. Food was delicious, drinks were perfect and crowd was pleasant. BEST PART: public pay parking right across the street makes it super convenient compared to the nightmare of trying to find street parking for other places in New Haven. Would love to tell everyone about them, but I also sort of selfishly want to keep them a secret. Well done!

It was such a cute spot for drinks perfect for a girls night out. We sat in an adorable both that was very comfortable. The truffle guys are delicious and there was a long menu for unique cocktails. We will definitely be back.

Food was ok but not great (and at $30+ a plate I expect better food), small menu, service wasn't great: wasn't that busy but took a long time to get water, silverware, drinks, food etc, waiter was very nervous so must have been new but he had zero support from other staff. Nice ambiance, great cocktails, maybe will just come back for drinks in the future.

LOVE 116 Crown! The food and drinks never disappoint, and of course the ambience is great as well. We love eating outside here in the summer, and we were able to sit outside in an igloo which made our most recent trip (April) a little cozier during a chilly evening. Service was wonderful and our server Will made everyone in our party feel welcome.

The truffle fries at this place are the best I’ve ever had!!!! The garlic aioli was so mouthwatering I wanted to just eat it alone lol I loved the endive salad but would add avocado to elevate it even further. I had the hangar steak with the sweet potato purée that was so delish!!!! My friend had the burger. I would recommend allowing a cheese substitute as Gorgonzola is a really potent cheese and she did not like that option on her burger.
