We ordered the sticky ribs, chicken & fries, the collard greens, the lobster jollof, & the branzino. We also had the dragon fruit margarita. The drink was tasty, but the food was just ok, aside from the collard greens which were excellent. The service was subpar to say the least. With the competitive dmv restaurant scene, they have to do better. I wouldn’t return.

The food was phenomenal and the staff were very attentive, professional, and polite. The portions were enough to share on both delicious dishes we selected. I highly recommend 1123 by Chef Tobias~

Ambience: Good Service: Excellent Food: Pork belly sticky ribs were delicious; Branzino and Oxtail rice were salty. Portions were very small for a $48 plate. Price: Overpriced Overall: I will not return or recommend this restaurant.

I am from NYC and have been wanting to eat at both Chef Tobias' restaurants since they opened. I have been following his career since I first saw him on Guy's Grocery Games. His story is quite inspiring, and his most recent recuperation gave me passion to want to support his journey even more. With all of that said, the drive down was worth it! The ambiance at 1123 is upbeat and such a nice vibe. The service was extremely attentive without being obnoxious and was worth the extra tip we left (thank you Telfie)! The food from start to finish was phenomenal! We over indulged so that we could have a bit of most of the menu. The avocado toast was to die for, and the deviled eggs were amazing. Between us for entrees we had; sweet potato pancakes, the Chesapeake, French toast, and the churro waffles. I tasted a bit from everyone's plate and everything was well seasoned, had a combination of flavors that were complimentary, and the presentation was appealing. I can't wait to travel to MD again to try Huncho House for dinner! I walked down the block and was able to meet Chef as he prepared for dinner service and commended him on my experience and he was kind enough to take a pic with me-made the experience even better. I wish him nothing but more success and blessings for he and his family!

It was R&B Thursfay. The music was on point. Kinda loud. The highlight was the FOOD! Chef Tobias was there and it was nice to see him there. We ordered the follow rice with fried lobster tail and the curry chicken ramen. We also had the dragon fruit margaritas. Since it was our honeymoon dinner we were also given complimentary champagne. Ley me get back to the ramen. I have never had ramen so good. The grilled chicken, boy choy, shredded carrots, soft boiled egg....YUM! The broth....indescribable how much flavor it had. Portion was generous too. Please try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Service was very slow. Over restaurants charging mandatory 20 percent service charge and than the service is terrible. Why go above and beyond When your getting 20% regardless Food was just ok. Not a lot of options unless you want sugary sweet. Unfortunately I had high hopes, but I will not be back

1123 by Chef Tobias delivers on every level. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt both elevated and inviting. Thoughtfully designed with a modern, welcoming African-Asian inspired aesthetic that immediately sets the tone for something special. The brunch menu was a standout. Dishes was perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious (go for chicken fried deviled egg, fish & grits, and the Korean wings and waffles). The cocktails were equally creative, well-executed, and clearly made with quality ingredients. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the service. It was, without exaggeration, some of the best I’ve ever encountered. Attentive without being overbearing, genuinely warm, and perfectly paced. If you’re looking for a place that gets every detail right, this is it. Chef Tobias has created something exceptional at 1123. I’ll definitely be back.
