10th & Piedmont Ratings and Reviews
Food awesome! Service awesome! And we had the restaurant to ourselves! An added plus! Easy to find, easy no hassle parking! We ordered everything on the menu that contained chicken and waffles! The tomato vodka gravy is EVERYTHING! Mojitos and bellini’s even better! Would definitely recommend this to ANYONE! Loved it! ❤️
The food was surprisingly good. Dinner is a tapas style menu so we ordered many dishes and shared them as a table. We were there early so it wasn’t too busy and our server, Gage, was very nice, but didn’t seem to have a lot of answers to our questions. He made up for it by being extremely attentive and, again, the food was really good! I hear the brunch there is much better so we may try that next time.
I've been to Piedmont and 10th for drinks with co-workers and all was fine. Then, I went for their Thanksgiving buffet and realized that seasonal special occasions are WAY out of this restaurant's lane. The service was great but the vibe was odd. The door was left open, creating a draft for people in the small dining area. And, there was inexplicably trap music playing over the speakers, which I guess is par for the course in Atlanta on any given eve of nightlife -- but a strange choice on Thanksgiving at 4pm. As we ate, the sun was also setting through a set of windows with no option to shut out the light so half of our table was blinded for several minutes. But, the most disappointing part was the food, which I have to say had really good flavor but every single dish from the mac and cheese to the kale to the carrots was served COLD. I'm not sure why. Everything appeared to be on a warming tray, but perhaps they weren't lit. Only the carving station had warm food (and I have to say, the turkey was amazing). Of course, we could have asked our sever to microwave our plates, but were a party of nine and how long would that have taken? It's now clear why this buffet was significantly cheaper than others in the city. The sad part is, I think it could have been a really great holiday dining experience if just the little details were taken care of...and if the staff had made sure the food was warmed to an enjoyable, edible temperature. Oh well. Live and learn. Hope they get it right next year. Happy Holidays.
The food and atmosphere were great!! Service pretty good but it was Thanksgiving buffet. The presentations (esp at the dessert ) seemed somewhat confused. I liked that we did not seemed rushed. We will be back. I have a group I want to take here for dinner. Thanks for a nice day.
Thanks, Star for the awesome service and conversation.
Thanks, Rusty - as always - for making us feel welcome.
Thanks to our other friend (not remembering her name at the moment) who came by to say hello, catch up, and see how we were doing.
We truly appreciate you all, and as usual, we’ll be back soon!
The 10P signature Chicken & Waffles was incredible and a very original take on a southern classic. They're served as a chicken tender, dipped in waffle batter, and then deep fried. I would also recommend the breakfast potatoes. All things considered, this is a fun and lively brunch spot with great drinks.
Wait staff was ill informed. Couldn’t answer questions about kinds of liquor they served, or even menu items (“I haven’t tried that...I haven’t tried that either”). Shouldn’t they know these things? Too bright inside. And since when do you have to ask for water? Very disappointed. In a foodie city like Atlanta, there’s so many places to try. Skip this one.
I would love to leave a review regarding the food but I never had a chance to eat... I went on a Friday early afternoon for brunch. After seeing people walking out, angered, I still decided to give it a try. The waitress eventually came to the hostess stand and said you can sit anywhere. Well I requested a seat by the windows and she proceeeded to tell us. 'I don't have time right now to clean those tables, we're short-staffed and I have ALL these tables to take care.' After seeing the faces of some clearly disappointed customers, it appeared this would be a nightmare so I moved on... went to 'The Flying Biscuit' - 5 Stars! Thank you 10th & Piedmont for introducing me to the restaurant right across the street. Sorry not sorry!
I was unable to eat after traveling across town. When I arrived at the restaurant the hostess immediately stated that it would be a 45 minute wait. She also told me without looking that she did not have my reservation. I proceeded to show my confirmation. Nonetheless, I left and had brunch at another restaurant. Very disappointing and a waste of time.
Love 10th&P! Have been going for years. The staff is wonderful, kind, and always working hard. The general manager, Genoa (sp?), is amazing! Very cognizant of what's going on with the restaurant and making sure the guest feel appreciated! Service was busy on Labor Day and Genoa made sure we got a free croissant while waiting on our food. Top-notch service from every server we have ever had! Will return as often as possible!
Star made sure we were well taken care of from the very beginning;
Tierra was our server - and she was just excellent all-around;
Tai even came over to say hello and to ensure that our stay was just as great as it always is.
Thanks so much for everything, and we'll see you all again soon!
10th & Piedmont was a HUGE disappointment and a bit of an embarrassment. I was excited about dining there with a friend who I had not seen in 4 years who was visiting from DC for a conference. Let me qualify the 1 star for service. Our waiter was absolutely lovely. He was just placed in a challenging position as the kitchen did not seem to have any food. Our reservation was on a Wednesday and the restaurant was practically empty. We ordered about 6 tapas and they were out of the majority of them including mac and cheese. How can one be out of mac and cheese? I felt I should offer up my Restaurant Depot card so they could make a quick run. It also took a while to get our cocktails. After I apologized profusely to my friend, we decided to just go with the couple of tapas that were available, finish our cocktails and go across the street to Zocalo for dinner. The food situation or lack thereof was really unfortunate as the couple of items we did eat were delicious. Finally, the bathroom is dark and disgusting. Oh by the way, as we were finishing up they all of a sudden had mac and cheese. It was offered, but we passed as we just didn't trust the preparation.
They used to have a dinner menu. Got there to find it is now tapas. If you want you can also get food from the restaurant next door - which is described as "bar food" - basically burgers. One of us ordered bourbon. They had no bourbon. The drinks menu lists 10 different bourbons, but they had none of them available. One of us ordered wine, but his first three wine choices were also unavailable. Sounded like there was a problem with the liquor. Add to that the change in menu to "tapas or burgers" and the deafening noise level, and we quickly decided to leave and go elsewhere. Staff were nice and doing their best to win us over but charm can only get you so far. We went elsewhere and had a very nice meal. On our way back, we walked past and noticed there was not a single table occupied. This was Saturday night at 10pm on the busiest corner in Midtown. Draw your own conclusions.
They were a little unorganized with seating, we had reservations and still waited for 30 minutes to be seated and they almost seated someone else that didn't have a reservation in front of us. It also took the waiter forever to come to our table and introduce herself and take our order.
I had a reservation, but was told they were busy. Host said they were going to sit a 5 top and then we would be next. I told the host that we were getting a drink at bar while we waited and we noticed he was seating other people before us. He then said he didn't know where I was despite the fact I told him we would be at bar getting a drink and kept making excuses. We probably waited close to 45mins to be seated despite having a reservation. It was really hot inside, but the service was okay after we were seated. The Food was really good, but not sure it was worth the wait and frustration.
This experience has 100% turned me away from 10th & P. To begin, got there before my reservation time, and I was told it would be 20-25 minutes. After we finally sat down, we had to wait 10 minutes just to get water and be greeted. The server was extremely rude from the get go! Three of us ordered bottomless mimosas, one a Bloody Mary, one a monitor, and one a Bellini. Whole we waited, the server came back 10 minutes later and we ordered food. When we asked about the drinks, she replied "oh, we are very busy today". We had to wait 25 more minutes to get the drinks. The mimosas came in kid size glasses. The Bloody Mary and Mojito were so watered down that they couldn't be drank. The mimosas smelled badly. And the Bellini never came! So, we asked the host to tell the server to cancel our order due to the horrible experience. The server came by to check on us. When we told her we cancelled our order, she got very rude and snippy! She brought our checks and had the nerve to charge us full price for the drinks that could not be enjoyed. We asked her for the manager and the response was "he's working the bar". What!?! The manager never came.
When I counted, there were only 4 servers working a restaurant that was packed and had people waiting. This is a management issue 100%! Needless to say, I will never go back to this place. It's is the worst experience I had. And on a side note, the 2 tables behind us and the one to my right complained as well and we all had the same server. The other three servers were hustling and busting themselves. Ours was not and truly did not care about the customers' experience.
