Friday night reservations for 4. Literally only group in the entire restaurant, what did we get into? Had a bottle of wine and the satay for starters. As expected but not anything special. What seemed to be the biggest problem was the lack of attention. Again, literally the only table at the restaurant and we sat with empty glasses.
The entrees were fine, nothing to say there. But how can this place keep it's doors open? At 9:15 they began putting tables and chairs away for an upcoming Halloween dance party it seemed. You would have thought we were closing down an Applebee's.
We came for brunch previously, and may again for the mimosas. Do yourself a favor and ask if any place completely empty Friday at 8pm is worth going to.
Shrimp and grits awesome! Carlton was great!
Our waiter was awesome. I cannot remember his name. He was knowledgeable of the food and drink menu. His customer service was great. He also made excellent drinks. My girlfriend and I got the chicken and waffles which was very different from the traditional but tasty. My daughter and cousin loved the shrimp and grits. My drink of choice is a patron margarita. He added strawberries to it which was bomb. The host was very accommodating with us being 40 mins early for our reservations. We stayed for drinks on the bar side for hours and returned the next day.
I would recommend the mimosas only. Our food was not hot and one of my friends found a hair in her shrimp and grits. Before arriving we were advised parking was complimentary. Upon arrival we were charged $5 because it was Pride weekend which we were not partaking. My friend arrived and was not charged the $5 from valet in your establishment.
The jambalaya was AMAZING! And the service was excellent.
Our server Kofi was amazing and made very honest recommendations for food since it was our first time eating there. Would definitely recommend 10th & Piedmont to anyone looking for a valuable brunch time!
They started charging for parking even tho there was no heads up that we would have to pay $5 when valet is supposed to be complementary. But food and service was good since we had no other choice but to pay since we didn’t want to lose our reservation.
Food was great...
I made reservations here for a dinner party of 20. I was iffy about it since they didn’t answer my phone calls to confirm the reservation. Maybe a week before the reservation I finally got a hold of someone, who seemed very helpful. I came up to the restaurant to settle all reservation plans. The DAY OF THE EVENT, nothing went well. When we set down, it was old syrup on the tables... the restaurant was empty, we were the ONLY guest in there, which turned me off but we looked at it in a positive light.. hoping for quick service. Our party order their meals and didn’t get their food til about 30-40 minutes later, which isn’t horrible food takes time, however the food was NOT worth the wait. Highly priced food for poor service and SMALL amounts. 10 fries and a few collard greens. They were out of several things my guest order, example: asparagus. The manager was scared to confront the table about the poor service, I had to speak to him several times near the bathroom vs at the table which he should have come. Not a pleasant experience and I WONT be back.... I’m not impressed I should have walked next door to The Flying Biscuit Cafe! Waste of $30-$550 from me and my guest. After we all paid the waiter came outside saying someone didn’t pay.... we all paid, For our crappy meals however he kept pleading for someone to pay for the invisible unpaid meal, so we did. NEVER GO THERE. HORRIBLE. We were the ONLY people in the restaurant and still ... BAD SLOW POOR SERVICE.
The food was good. The service can be improved though. We waited awhile for our food and drinks to be delivered. Once my food was delivered it was cold so I had to request a remake. This wasn’t my first time visiting this location. However, this was my first time experiencing poor service.
Made an OT brunch res that was totally unnecessary. Place was hardly full, yet they sat us in the rear bar area. The ceiling fans were going full blast, but our server/bartender turned them down. The bar area had the ambiance of well...a bar. Food took forever to come out. A table that came in minutes after us got their food the same time. Food was mediocre at best. Valet parking on a Sunday morning? There is a reason that the Flying Biscuit across the street had a line out the door. Won't ever go back.
Server took excellent care of us with plenty of water/tea refills and suggestions for how to make brunch kid-friendly for the one child in the party. Chicken and waffle and chicken biscuit dishes were both excellent. Breakfast burrito was a hearty meal but lacked seasoning
this is definitely my favorite restaurant. I go to this place every time i need some relaxation.
Will never return. The food was less than stellar, a frozen dinner would’ve been more appetizing. They didn’t have burger meat???? During lunch time????? Didn’t notify us until after we ordered. The food was just not good. Chick-fil-A would’ve been a better choice for a lunch.
Bad date night choice!!! So, I made reservations for a date night, we're on vacation and wanted to experience some good southern food. Walked in, chefs are sitting down... Or at least they had on chefs jackets, but then one got up and became the DJ... So I'm confused. Anyway... We were the only two the at 8:00pm on a Friday night... Not a good sign. I wanted to walk back out, but being a fellow culinarian and goodie.. I wanted to give them a chance. So we were told to select a window seat, I guess to show that someone was eating there. Looked at the window, saw both alive and dead flies and fruit flies. Wanted to run, but sat down because my girlfriend wanted to at least try a drink and she's been wanting crab cakes. So we both ordered drinks... I got the rum punch fish bowl, but the citrus tasted old and overwhelmed the drink. It was like the taste of an old sour orange. The menus have old stains on them. Another couple walked in and were asked to also select a window seat, then asked to be seated at a table, but almost as soon as they sat down, they got right back up and left. I paid for my girlfriends drink asked that mine be taken off, the waiter said oh I'm sorry about the orange, I can add more liquor to balance it and some soda, I had rum punch, and no thank your old orange is old orange! I'll never go again... We are thinking about relocating... I definitely would never return or recommend this place. Please... Don't waste your time! We saw a crowd of people across the street, made reservations, and ate dinner there... Crazy date night experience... Again... Run!
Great food and location! +1
The food was good and value was ideal for the meal we enjoyed. Sitting at an open window by the curb was nice but the large over flowing trash can just a few feet away left something to be desired! Not ideal on a hot summer day!
This place never disappoints. My family & I come here frequently. We get the bottomless mimosas everytime. After stuffing our faces & arguing who's gonna drive home, once home we fall into this sort of food coma. I recommend this place for great food, drinks, & service.
We love coming to 10th & Piedmont! The Food is always fantastic and has some of the best chicken & waffles in Atlanta (now that's saying something). It's a great location and easy access so we go all the time. Despite the good about 10th & Piedmont, our service this past Saturday was not good. A lot was missed and it was considerably slower than normal. The main waiter was training someone new so maybe he was distracted by that? Who knows, it was bad service. BUT great food as always and fab atmosphere. We will be coming back, but hopefully not having the same waiter.
This was a poor experience all around. We ended up leaving and not even finishing our drinks. The drinks were that bad. We were the only ones in the restaurant, service was poor, drinks weren't made properly (switched vodka with gin).
Jake G was a wonderful server and really took good care of us
Food was good and the bacon was just how i like it. Our waitress was really sweet. The pancakes tasted like Pam. My girlfriend loved the chicken and waffle corndogs and the biscuits were so good. Bout time someone in midtown got those right! I thought the prices were fair and the portions were perfect all around.
The severs take long to attend
Poorly staffed...brunch took 2.5 hours! Service was horrendous including the manager who barked that the restaurant didn’t open until 11:30am when we walked in at 11:25!
Slow early evening so we had restaurant mostly all to ourselves.
Excellent food especially calamari & crab cakes.
Very attentive waiter (John).
Erin was our waiter and he was outstanding! 1st time visiting and many more reservations will be made.
Very good food was great even though it was close to closing.
I brought my guy to show him the place where I had once received an excellent brunch meal with a girlfriend of mine. However, this time, the experience was the total opposite. It was a group of four that was already sitting when we walked in, and us. So you would think the service would be more prompt than usually. We were wrong!!!! I was 3/4 finished with my meal (shrimp and grits) before our drink came out (fish bowl). The server didn’t replenish anything, she didn’t keep us up to time with the waiting, or anything. More people are coming in and I’m observing they’re having the same waiting issue. Now, I won’t be so eager to show another person this place as I was so eagerly to do so today. He DID NOT enjoy his first experience, and that’s pretty unfortunate.
Creative and interesting takes on traditional southern fare plus. The collards are amazing! Great atmosphere / music, service and great people watching.
The food and service was great! My only suggestions would be to ensure that the A/C or heat is at a level that is comfortable for all patrons. Also, the restrooms needed attention greatly - this is why I could only give 3/5 stars.
Had a great time there. The host/waiter was very friendly. He was patient when we couldnt decide on what we wanted. Our food was brought out quickly and it was hot and delicious!! The fish and chips is AMAZING!!!!
Would not honor our reservation because they were too busy
The southwest bean burrito was awesome. The server friendly. It took a minute to get our food but everyone enjoyed there meal.
It's one of my favorite places in Atlanta. The people, food, service, and energy are amazing. A must try while you're in ATL!
Besides wishing the food was hotter when coming out, everything else was great. Drinks were on point and our server was always available for us
No! The bathroom was dirty and the toilet was leaking water on the floor. My husband's dinner had a hair in it and while they did replace the meal when he asked, the manager never came to check how it was or offered any compensation for the food issues.
The restaurant was lovely and the service was great! Chicken and waffles were great with some creative twists. The Bloody Mary was nice and savory.
I went to brunch on a Sunday and the food was great! Those cheese grits is a must try, no salt and pepper were added! I would definitely go back again!
The BEST chicken and waffles.
Sunday funday. I’m from a party city so I’m used to bottles of champagne being left on the table. I thought we were not going to be tended well enough to keep up with the hype. I was wrong. The waiter was super cool and very personable. Recommendations were awesome and the food was pretty good. Bottomless is just orange juice though, but I’m sure they’ll accommodate for you.
