Food is great, service can be spotty depending on sever. Overall I would recommend.
Only complaint is the online menu listed the 101 burger having Wagyu beef. Disappointed to find out that was not the case.
Our server was very good. She was attentive without being intrusive and professional. Wife had the filet and it was done nicely and good flavor. My daughter had the Salmon and it was cooked to perfection. I was torn between the ribeye and lamb chops and went with the lamb. Nice size chops but bland. Very disappointed with the lamb flavor. Beef carpaccio was excellent and Brussel sprouts were fantastic. Will get the ribeye next time. Otherwise, everything was very nice.
Unbelievable from start to finish. Superb service. The best bread I've ever had in my life. And the entrees were delectable. If you're looking for traditional steakhouse cuisine, I cannot commend 101 Steak highly enough.
We decided to dine in this highly regarded restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was her choice and I readily embraced it. Having read the many rave reviews we assumed our meal was going to be superlative. From the moment we arrived until we said our goodbyes we were both impressed and made to feel very welcome. We both selected a dry aged steak since we had never had one, and we were not disappointed. The steaks were perfectly prepared, so very full of flavor, and beautifully marbled. The bonus was that these steaks are so large that we were able to make a second meal of them at home the next evening. We highly recommend the corn side dish. We've never had such delectable corn before. Truly amazing! Our server, Mercury, was perfect: friendly, extremely knowledgable, and always attentive without ever being intrusive. If you are looking for an incredible dining experience you won't go wrong with 101 Steak!
Great food. Quality steak cooked to perfection. Excellent service and personal touch from front of the house management.
Quality food, nice atmosphere, pretty good menu choices. I would go back for sure!
Took my wife and kids out for Mother’s Day brunch, the price was fair for the adults but pricey for the kids. Ambiance wasn’t bad at all and the staff was awesome.
We have dined here a few times. This last time the food was great and the over all service was good. But we was over charged. The customary gratuity was includes and as always we gave extra. Needless to say once we say the bill after we had gone we was charged for 6 but only had 5. I hope these guys pay more attention in the future.
We went for Mother's Day Brunch which was served until 3pm. Our reservation was at 2:15 and they ran out of several items on the buffet line. What they still had out was delicious. Our server was very friendly but a little too chatty.
Ran out of mashed potatoes on a Saturday night-a no no for a steakhouse
Great authentic steak house in the heart of Vinings. Had a great dinner and both the appetizers and entree’s were great. Really a jewel to have this restaurant in the community.
Service was excellent, food was very good. Not a fan all the 'Tables for 2' (teen tables) at this price point. Definitely not the place to go for ambience or romantic date. I think the ambience was the killer for me. Food and service, otherwise, were really good-to-great.
I have been 101 several time, but this latest visit was not a good experience. I decided to do Mother's Day dinner on Saturday instead of the mad rush on Sunday. I usually get a steak or fish, but this time my wife and I got the lamb. The lamb was inconsistently cooked. It was over cooked until you get to the bone, and it did not taste that fresh. The Brussels sprouts was over charred and tasted like the bottom of the grill rack (sent them back). We both was rather disappoint in the dinning experience on this visit.
My advise order a steak or the Sea Bass.
My wife and I are parents to a five year-old and a 15 year-old. We work hard, and a date night for us is all about COMPLETING A SENTENCE and RECONNECTING (if you have kids, you know what I mean). We DO NOT enjoy paying $200+ for dinner at some trendy spot where it's A-hole to elbow people, where we have to wait an hour for a table, and where we have to fight our way to the bar to wait another 20 minutes for a drink, only to get seated and find that we're so close to others that we can't extricate ourselves from their inane conversation about how they have their cat on a gluten-free/partial Paleo diet. And THEN, just as we're about to start letting down really get to know one another again, up pops the server who, in mid-sentence shouts "Hi, I'm Brandy and I'll your server tonight!" Brandy then continues to find new and interesting ways of interrupting us time and again throughout the night so that it feels as if we never left home! Hell, I might as well have that Spider-Man suction-cup dart stuck to my forehead while my daughter texts me from upstairs asking if her boyfriend can come over!
And then we went to 101 Steak. It was quiet! Yes it was Cinco de Mayo, so their customer base may have been intent on waking the following morning with the greasy tequila sweats and someone else's undergarments, but still the experience for us was terrific. Roman was our server and he was very attentive without being pushy and without INTERRUPTING! The food was absolutely amazing - meant exactly as Webster defines it BTW, not the way my daughter uses it to describe things like glittery nail polish she bought at Claire's. And the ambiance was EXACTLY what I want in a high-end steak house...a purpose-built building with a well thought-out layout that includes sound abatement, not a renovated Hardee's crammed with as many tables as they can fit. You MUST HAVE the Brussels sprouts and the corn, BTW!! And the dry-aged bone-in strip is AWESOME!! GREAT place!
Excellent food and service. Would absolutely go again!!
The service for Sunday brunch was wonderful and the food was fabulous. My daughter was able to order something that was not typically on their Sunday brunch menu which made it all more wonderful!!
So disappointing. We were very excited to try this "Steakhouse" as we live off W. Paces Ferry and it is so close to us. Server was snappy and rude and uninformed. The wine took over 45 minutes to arrive to the table. Once the meals arrived, nearly 1 hour after they were ordered, they were cold. Not room temperature, but cold. The manager came by and asked how everything was...we told him how we felt about the situation. He apologized and said he would take care of us. He removed the bottle of wine from the bill, which by the way, was the only thing we loved about the evening! What a joke. We will not be back!
Great food and place to enjoy a quiet dinner! Would highly recommend this place for a great dinner you will not be disappointed
The food was good but steaks are too expensive! $72 for a steak seems extreme. Service and Ambiance were great. Pasta dish was ok.
Best in everything server was fun and she was very helpful!
Tables with bench seat on one side, chair on the other did not feel intimate once others were seated next to us. Puff breads delish. One bowl of soup, medium rare tuna , shared mashed potatoes and shared creme brulee and I still wasn't full. Gave us more bread (to go) after dessert when we asked for it before dessert. Excellent food and service, but small portions.
this was our first time at 101 Steak and we were impressed. our service was excellent and the food exceeded our expectations and we have high steak expectations!
The food wasn't bad in general, but for a restaurant specializing in steak, I expected more. The steaks we're billed as prime, but tasted not better than a grocery store steak and we're underseasoned.
Tables are too close together the couple next to us jumped in our conversation
It's criminal that brunch crowds at 101 Steak are light. It's at least as good as Paces & Vine (which I'm a fan of), which is consistently packed for brunch. I love the decor, and service is consistently good. Specifics on the food:
-Ricotta Doughnuts - I don't have a sweet tooth, but if you do, you'll love these like my wife did.
-Smoked salmon with cream cheese & bagel - beautifully served for a relatively simple dish, and exactly what I wanted. It's a starter, but easily enough for meal.
-Fried Chicken Biscuit - holy cow, this was good. The biscuit was average, but the chicken itself was so outstanding it didn't need a great biscuit.
-Biscuit and Gravy - probably our least favorite. It's certainly tasty if you really want biscuits and gravy...but biscuits and gravy are so easy to make delicious that this falls a bit short in my mind.
-Pancakes - Light, fluffy, and delicious.
-Home Fries - I strongly prefer home fries cut smaller than these, but otherwise they're very good.
-Bacon - I wouldn't normally call out bacon specifically, but so many otherwise good restaurants serve mediocre bacon and/or only give you like 2 slices with a side order so I have to give credit. 4 Slices of high quality bacon here with a side order.
Since you asked.. I was under the impression this was an upscale steak house. Sunday I went for a business brunch and though the waitress was fantastic, and the food tasted fine, I was disappointed our omelets were served brown on the outside, much like I make them at home for lack of a culinary skill set . The ambiance lacked luster, we were sat at a table with banquette seating long enough for two, 2 top tables, so it felt a bit odd seeing a banquette that long without another table and chairs, which made the space look unfinished or lacked an intimacy. Since I'm in the hospitality furniture business, providing furnishings and custom lighitng to 4-5 star properties, perhaps I'm a bit more particular than the average guest. At the price point for your steaks and wines, the carpet tiles in the dining room have that industrial contract look, and the tailoring on some of the banquettes doesn't look 5 star. Selling prime steaks should come with a fine dining experience including fine furnishings, hard wood or Axminster carpet floors and not be an expensive steak with a lower qualitity ambiance. Maintenence should also clean the streaks off the glass wall between the dining and bar area, it looks dirty. ;-) All said, we said we will retrun to the bar one evening for cocktails.
Great time and we're definitely coming back!
Enjoyed our visit.
It was a lovely dinner. Great food and service. I didn't expect the flight of stairs down to the dining room, since they advertise being handicap accessible. The open kitchen and staff gathering area outside of it created more noise than was necessary. Otherwise very enjoyable.
Aaaammmmaazzzziiinnggg!! We had a halibut special. It was great. And this may sound crazy but they made this iceberg lettuce and it was grilled. OOMMMMGG. I loved it. Wow. It was not on the menu as a side it came with the halibut. Great. I have yet to have a bad meal here. Keep up the great job.
Chaz provided stellar service. The food was amazing!
I booked reservations in advance not knowing today would be Buffett only. No problem the food was amazing. Prime rib perfect, Berkshire ham on point! Cream Corn amazing. Great value! Our server Cory was amazing!
The food was absolutely delicious! I had their food before but the buffet was amazing. They had an amazing selection!
The Sunday Easter brunch was super. Food was excellent and the service good. Definitely a recommended spot!
Family in town and we’re trying a new restaurant
