Great place to eat and have some beers while in town visiting!!
We had a great time here & the food was great!
My husband and I took our boys with out for Saturday dinner at this “gastropub”. I had read that it was kid-friendly but was a bit nervous when we walked up and saw a bunch of 20 something hipsters hanging out. My fears were luckily quickly allayed as the friendly hostess and waiter made us feel right at home.
I had the Bahn-Mi Tacos and loved them. My husband enjoyed his Hokey Poke greatly. And the kids raved, too, especially about their milkshakes.
The menu was highly interesting and all over the place from cold soba, ramen, burgers, pizza, corn dogs, and creamy penne. The names of everything and descriptions were all quirky and enticing but I can't say anything was memorable.
Nothing was bad but nothing was good, so very middle of the pack. The crowd was excruciatingly energetic, watching college football, presumably drunk, and shouting at the top of their lungs and tripping over each other didn't make for a pleasant dinner atmosphere. Our waiter even foreboding our experience warned us that it was college football season with a bit of an eye roll.
The milk shakes were divine, like seriously delicious and over the top in a good way - but other than the shakes I can't say I'd ever have a reason to go back, nothing was great and nothing was terrible.
It was fun! Food is creative but more importantly, delicious.
Under staffed. Food was ok. They did accommodations for 12 people so that was nice.
The service was very slow, despite it being empty. Out of three people at our table, waiter forgot one person’s entire order. Very warm inside.
My task was to find a fun restaurant for six adults of varying ages close enough to Oriole Park so we would be able to walk to a concert there. Found it! 101 Baltimore was vibrant and delicious. We were seated immediately at a table out front. Our server greeted us and took our drink order. We ended up dining on fabulous appetizers. The brisket empanadas were yummy, the chicken fingers hot and crispy accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce. Crab dip was good but needed more crab. The menu looked really good and we’ll be back for entrees for sure. Cocktails were well made and satisfying. The restaurant was absolutely jammed but our service was wonderful! Thank you for a fun beginning to our evening!
Thank you very much for spending your time with us! I am thrilled to hear you enjoyed everything! It was a pleasure serving you. 101 Baltimore also has free transportation to the Oriole Park courtesy of Charm City Cars on game days if you're looking for a ride next time around! Ask your server for more details next time Come again soon!
101 Baltimore is an adorable little bar, with a great SOUNDING menu. I was sad that they didn’t have the CBD oil for the CBD Bloody Mary. But I went ahead and ordered a regular one. The basil Vodka was interesting to say the least. We ordered the Donut Chicken Sandwich, and the Chicken and Waffles. I donut was horrifying. It was basically just onion bread, and the egg was essentially scrambled. When I hear “donut fried chicken sandwich” I’m expecting a mouth-explosion of sweet and salty and the drippy egg. And it was disappointing. The chicken and waffles also could’ve used a drippy egg, and way lesssss honey. The spice was nice, but it was a lot, and there was no avoiding it. The service was great, great energy in the space, nice layout, but the doos and drinks left a lot to be desired. Definitely great ideas, just not executed well.
All comfort food reasonably priced
Thank you for taking the time to leave a great review!!! Hope to see you back soon!
Made a reservation for a large group and the wait staff was very accommodating and attentive! Only small issue was the music was kind of loud which made it difficult to talk to anyone that you aren't sitting directly next to
Rikky, thank you for the 5 stars! Please let a waiter know the next time you come in to sit you away from the speaker! I apologize for this. We appreciate your business and we look forward to having you back.
The service was awesome and the food was excellent. My new favorite place to go chill.
It was a pleasure to have you join us! I'm thrilled you loved everything and we look forward to seeing you back soon! Thank you for taking the time to leave a great review!!
I love this place. The food is mostly great but there was some strange flavor in my burger the other night that tasted acrid. Otherwise everything was excellent. The service is outstanding and portions aren’t pretentious. Great for both a date and for a family meal. Will be back often! Thank you!
Met a large group (7) for happy hour/dinner. Noise level was high but we could all still talk. Louis took great care of us. Wings were great as were all the apps. Burgers got high marks as well
Luis is one of our best! We are happy to hear you had a great experience!
My bad for not coming here earlier. Outstanding food - I made food substitutions and they not only listened they delivered top notch plates as though it was already on the menu. Super comfortable seating. Great sized portions, nothing pretentious whatsoever. Cannot wait to return!
Awesome review! Thank you so much!
Service a very good. Food was over cooked on almost every meal
As soon as you walk in you’re immediately drawn to the great ambience. The food was impeccable as well. I had the crab dip as an appetizer and the blackened chicken penne for dinner. So delicious! Great drinks, delicious food, and very attentive staff. Highly recommend checking it out.
Thanks JennaD for the great review!!!! Let us know when you dine with us again!
We were greeted at the door immediately and taken to our seat. We lived the decor. Exposed brick, artwork featuring a mix of artists, and modern tile set the mood. Service was excellent from Fran. Very knowledgeable about the wine list, answered all of our questions, and kept us filled with drinks. Sunken French bread pizza, hoagie salad, and blackened chicken penne are all home runs. Don’t even hesitate. Perfect for a date or coming out late night for drinks and music.
Thank you so much for the great review!
One of the best dining experiences I've had in Federal Hill, hands down. Whoever put together the cocktail list did so perfectly. Nothing to pretentious, just the classics. Great beer selection. Ended up eating the blackened chicken penne and had my mind blown. Unreal. Luis took excellent care of my date and I. You can tell the attitude of the staff goes above and beyond. Will definitely be back soon.
Thank you for the great review, we love to hear reviews like this!
Was greeted as soon as I walked in by a friendly server. They were packed but I could tell they were actively working to make sure we got a table as soon as possible. We got drinks at the bar right away and were seated near a speaker that was a little too loud, I think the manager noticed and turned it down right away. Long story short we came here not knowing we were in for one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The service was spectacular, the food was familiar and unpretentious. They had a simplistic cocktail menu that was executed properly. ( I love when places don’t go over the top and just do the classics correctly). My tuna burger was exactly what I wanted and my girlfriend loved the fact they had vegetarian options all over the menu. (Buffalo cauliflower, veggie burger). At the end of the meal we didn’t feel rushed at all and the servers kept bringing us drinks even though we had finished eating. We end up staying when the DJ showed up and danced all night. We will be coming back when they come out with their updated brunch menu in the spring! This place is a breath of fresh air to the number of places that try to be things that they aren’t. Simplistic and well executed. Shout out to Luis who took care of us!!!
Let us know next time you dine here and we will be sure to make sure we reach your expectations every time!
Dinner at 101 was just awesome and we will be returning. They had delicious food and crafted cocktails, I wanted to try everything. My server was so knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly what I wanted. I’d give it 10 stars if it was an option!
Thank you so much for the review! We would love to get 10 Stars!!!
101 was an all around perfect atmosphere. It was the best setting for a date night. The decor was awesome and definitely set the mood. The food and cocktails were to die for! The sunken French bread pizza and crab dip were awesome for appetizers. Would def recommend getting them! For entrees we got the egg shrimp fried rice and the tuna burger, both amazing! The service was impeccable and we will most definitely be back again!
Ally, Thank you for the review! Come on Thursdays bottles of wine are half off all night long. Perfect for date night!
Great place for large groups to get drinks or dinner. The new menu is AMAZING!!! Our waitress, Fran, was very knowledgeable about the menu and so sweet! We got the Sunken French Bread Pizza and Buffalo Cauliflower to share and it was delicious. Their milkshakes are heavenly so many flavors and you can even add booze! Good to note happy hour is until 10 on Fridays and 8 weekdays! Strongly recommend the Old Fashion cocktail. Will be back soon definitely! Also heard there’s a DJ Friday and Saturday nights! Thanks 101!
Thank you so much for the great review!!! Please come back and see us soon!
Great food and great atmosphere. Love the remodel! If you like a French Dip sandwich, definitely try the Gaucho Dip. Thanks For taking care of us Fran!
Thank you so much for the five star review!!!
When we arrived there were no other parties, with this being the case we were expecting quick service. We ordered bottomless mimosas and unfortunately service was very slow. When our food arrived, two of the dishes were missing ingredients (the eggs..we were there for brunch). When we let the staff know, they took their time fixing the issue. All of the dishes were under seasoned and altogether lacked flavor. When we finished eating, we asked for the check and the server could not figure out how to split our check, and proceeded to take 30 minutes to figure it out. Overall, very disappointing.
The service was not bad enough to stop me from going again, but the waitress I had was very rude. There were two people waiting on us and both were unfriendly. A third person came over to help them and was the only one who was nice. I understand that people have bad days but it kind of ruined a nice dinner with my girlfriends visiting from out of town.
The hype is real!
Fran and Luis crushed it tonight! Great food and martinis. FTW!
Over all the food was underseasoned but not terrible. The service was slow and the staff seemed to be all over the place/unorganized.
My boyfriend and I had a great time here. We had brunch and our bartender was awesome!
Thank you for an awesome review! We would love for you to come back again with your boyfriend. Tuesdays are date night at 101! Which means 1/2 off entrees and $25 crab cakes!
101 Baltimore has great potential. The food is excellent. The staff was attentive. The only issue we had was the orders took quite a while to make it to the table. It was a busy night which may have contributed to the delays. Overall, I would go there again.
Extremely loud. Service though friendly was inconsistent. The restaurant week menu was also inconsistent. New England clam chowder was good but very thick and could have been hotter. The short rib was tough and flavorless, fatty and cold and I could not cut it with the butter knife supplied. Salmon was good but sides were uninspiring and bland. Noodles way overcooked and spatzel was flavorless. Loud bar atmosphere where the wait staff could barely hear you. Probably should put what you do best on the restaurant week menu to get people to try your best creations and want to come back. We won’t be back ourselves.
Too loud. Had to leave
Lisa, Was our music to loud? We try our hardest to make sure we keep a lively atmosphere on the weekends. Next time you dine with us let us know and we will be sure to accomodate for you. We have great weekday specials and it tends to be a more relaxed feel.
Our first time here was on a slow Tuesday night. Very cold outside and the front door didn’t stay shut so we were cold the whole time. Server was friendly but slow when she only had 2 tables to wait on. We finally went up to the bar to ask for our check. Food was ok but not great, burger overcooked.
This restaurant is good for large groups and had good local beers. The butternut squash soup was watery and had no flavor. I had to add a ton of salt and pepper to it to taste decent. Everyone else’s food looked pretty decent. The service was great and the restaurant ambiance is nice. Overall I would go back I just wouldn’t order the soup again.
Great spot, especially when you’re looking for a casual lunch but not your plain Jane time of the mill lunch spot. This was my first time and won’t be my last!
Fran was an amazing bartender! Kept the drinks coming. The kitchen team made awesome food! 50% off all burgers and Sammies and draft beer on Wednesday!
Thank you for the feed back, we do try to stay awesome and do so by having an awesome staff taking care of our guests!
Amazing food at great prices! Love the Short Rib, crab cakes, and pan seared salmon. Also have to try all the cocktails!
101 made my birthday dinner very special! Thank you!
Thank you for choosing us to celebrate your birthday!
This place was amazing, we weren't sure what we were in the mood but their menu was well thought out and had something for everyone. It's hard to find places like this in the city. I absolutely recommend this for large groups who can decide on a place to eat!!!!!
thank you so much for the glowing review!!!
