100th Bomb Group Ratings and Reviews
Highly disappointed in this visit. They used to have the best prime rib I have ever tasted. This time, my husband and I both felt that it lacked any flavor at all. None of the dishes were worth the price. Highly disappointed in the lack of quality in their overpriced menu. The bar also did not offer high quality drinks for the price we paid. The service however was outstanding!
I always have a great experience at the 100th bomb group, However this time we were there to celebrate my birthday my children and relatives were not very fond of the food options. It was also the 1st time that I sat and watched everyone around me be offered a Mammosa but no one ever came to our table to offer 1 to the adults at our table which made me feel very uncomfortable. Honestly I do not know if I Myself will be returning To your establishment.
We got there at 6:45 pm on the Thursday between Christmas and New Years. We elected to eat in the lounge and saw only one other table occupied. By 8:00 pm we were the only ones in the restaurant and they were waiting for us to leave so they could close. The food was OK but a little pricey for the overall experience. This would be a good place to go if you don’t want anyone to see you or don’t want the vibe of a busy restaurant. Hopefully it was just a off night or they won’t be open long.
Our table was in the party room which was very cold, my mother had to keep her coat on. The buffet selections were constantly running out and our table was next to the crepe station so it was loud and people were walking right behind our table the entire meal. It took 20 minutes to pay our very expensive bill.
We attended the Christmas buffet in early afternoon as an extended family. The food was high quality, kept warm and replenished frequently. Always tough for large seating buffets, the Bomber Group did well keeping the food fresh and stocked. Cold seafood bar had a good variety of fresh shellfish and two varieties of salmon.
Service was attentive and friendly. There were 3 servers introduced as responsible for our seating area. Plates were cleared regularly. Any request was addressed immediately. We waited for nothing at the height of the day. We were not rushed, allowing the family to linger through our visit.
All told, the buffet was a real success for a holiday meal.
Came for Christmas Brunch-food was amazing and service good.
The meat server needs some more lessons on serving food-used nasty cloth to wipe up and the reached for meat with same gloves-we did not eat it-spoiled our appetite as you wonder what else goes on we don’t see!
Way too expensive for overall experience. Have eaten at Bomb Group before and had a good experience. The food was fair, average. Most the food was barely warm. Crab legs were a joke. Will not go back nor recommend any type of brunch there. May be a while before I go back for a regular meal.
We often go to the 100th Bomb Group for special occasions (holiday buffets, and birthdays, etc.) but it’s a great place to enjoy high quality food with an interesting atmosphere and a fantastic view of the CLE airport traffic. The holiday buffets are fantastic and a great value, and the normal menu is high quality with something for everyone. The bar and lounge is also a great place to gather for drinks, have food, and watch planes, especially in colder weather when the fireplaces are are roaring.
Christmas Eve buffet is great! We
Come every year. Something for everyone. Preferred buffet menu from previous years because it did not include breakfast like it did this year. No one in our group wanted breakfast foods for dinner at 4pm. We were really looking forward to the pasta bar but that was a waffle station instead. Otherwise, food, service, atmosphere was great!
My family and I spent Thanksgiving dinner at 100th Bomb Group. We paid $55 a person. There were 8 of us and we were the last seating time of the afternoon. At any given moment, there was approximately 50% of the buffet food empty. They had non- "people-people" helping with the buffet. By this, I mean, they looked/seemed like they may be janitor staff. Prime rib, at one point, was rare (cold/raw center). It was so loud and so crowded. It felt like we were cattle in an empty feed lot looking for food to eat.
100th Bomb Group bit off more than they could chew. They did not have the staff or the proper amount of food for the number of people for which they had reservations to serve an overpriced buffet.
This was our first and last time here. They came highly recommended and it turned out to be a total let down. We planned to dine here for Thanksgiving as a family of three and had a reservation at 3:30 p.m. When we arrived the crowd was literally spilling out the door. It was not only unorganized but staff was snippy as we tried to check in. After waiting over an hour to be seated ... We were greeted with an empty picked over buffet ... Of cold food and no plates. We eventually asked for a manager who ended up comping our entire bill and apologizing for the inconvenience. We were told the staff was new in the kitchen and could not keep up with the demands of the crowd. Worst Thanksgiving ever ... Considering we chose this over a traditional dinner at home ... Due to the fact that my mom is currently going thru cancer treatments and was not able to join us.
i jusT deleted my long story of that day.
Long Story short ...Bomb group WAY overbooked.,, I Always loved Bomb group ... I expected Thanksgiving to be Special Festive ... it was basically the same as Sunday brunch ...which is always wonderful ...but this had 20x people was a debacle running out of food.
I do appreciate them taking my daughter Off the bill since shed already had a real Thanksgiving at her other grandmother s and had Absolutely nothing while we were there with me.
We went for the thanksgiving buffet for the 3rd year in a row. Unfortunately each year is a little less impressive. The brunch food like the waffles, French toast, crepes and bacon was the best part. However there was never any turkey in the serving pans, the gravy was incredibly salty and much of the food was cold. Prime rib was good. Just not worth the price. The desserts have been consistently disappointing each year. Actual pieces of pumpkin and apple pie or cheesecake would have been appreciated. Definitely need better options for kids like brownies, big soft chocolate chip cookies and an ice cream bar or something like that. With the price tag so high I would expect to be wowed all around. Kids are picky and like plain desserts. There wasn’t anything the 3 kids we had in our party would eat bc it was all odd items.
This was my first time at this restaurant, we came for the Thanksgiving buffet. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Waitstaff was excellent, especially Dale, who built a repore with our party and the party at the table next to us. All in all, I highly recommend this place, and hope to continue a tradition of attending this establishment for their Thanksgiving buffet in the future. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience, and a wonderful memory!!
After having heard nothing but glowing reviews from my husband who ate there maybe 15–18 years ago, I was excited to give it a try. We have recently moved back to Ohio after years away and we have dined at premiere steak houses, so you can understand my excitement. My disappointment started at the beginning whe we realized no valet parking (most every upscale restaurant offers this service), once inside there was NOONE at the front of house, a passing server acknowledged us standing there and hailed a short blonde woman who we overheard tell him “they can wait”. Next, after being seated we were greeted by the worst server we’ve had in years, her name is LYNN E. She was unwelcoming and we felt like we were a burden being sat in her section, she appeared rushed AT ALL times and our drinks were slow to come out as was our food and her apology for both was insincere. Our food was brought out by who I assume was the manager; an older gentleman who I think goes by Mark. He was unsure of what table food was to be delivered to questioning loudly where is the table, I politely said “I believe that’s our food”, he hurriedly placed food on table and rushed away. LYNN E. never came by the table to ask if we needed drinks refreshed, I had to flag her down and ask for more water. Surprisingly food was good or maybe it was that we were hungry. We will never visit this establishment again nor recommend to any business colleagues or friends. What a major disappointment at what was once a nice place.
