This was the second time we were there, and again we liked the restaurant. It is slightly off the tourist track, serves really good and interesting food. Our server was very nice. A good experience. We were a group of 8 and everyone was very happy afterwards.
Great overall everyone was fantastic.
The food was just ok. Nothing special. The margaritas were very expensive. $12.00 for a small glass that I drank in about 10 minutes. I did get Patron silver but would expect a nice sized drink for that price.
We enjoy eating there. It's really some of the best Mexican food in town. Creative and interesting presentations are the standard. The wait staff is the best. There are none friendlier and accommodating in Denver. Surprisingly, it never that busy, so it allows for nice conversation without yelling at each other. This is unusual for Denver restaurants these days.
We were meeting a friend who was in town for dinner. We really enjoyed the food and the drinks. The top shelf margaritas were a little pricey at $12 a pop but luckily they had 1/2 price on some items on Monday nights. The mushroom ceviche was excellent! Service was great, attentive staff. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will return.
Excellent choice for a graduation get together. Our wait person was extremely knowledge and efficient. The offerings are the best and most unusual offerings available in the Metro Area. Parking is relatively easy.
Had a good time, but water, drinks and food all took a long time to get out to us. The place was average busy but not slammed like other times. I'm assuming the kitchen and bar was short staffed or new staff. The whole placed was filled with smoke on and off. We even asked if they could open another door so we could breath.
A friendly welcoming restaurant that needs better--trained cooks in the kitchen. Guacamole was unpleasantly salty, as was my tough, dry chicken dish. My husband's shrimp were also overcooked and tough. Margaritas were okay, nothing special. Flan was taste-free. At over $100 for two, with 1 drink apiece, I can't call this a good value.
Don't miss the tableside guacamole -- truly superior.
We had a reservation, got to the restaurant and they said they were closing. We set this up for date night and hadn’t been out in quite some time. The person looked at us like we were crazy when we asked if they were choosing to close early.
Excellent from the moment we walked in. Try the skirt steak with mole, or chicken with mole. Best mole I’ve ever had in a restaurant.
Food was good, bar was fun and packed but unfortunately they were understaffed so we waited over an hour for food to be served and went to bar to get our own drinks.
At first, we had a lovely experience. Our waiter was extremely friendly and responsive. When my friend said she couldn't have any wheat, he recommended the fajita option with corn tortillas. That's when it all went down hill. He didn't record our order, so he must've put in her order for flour tortillas instead of corn. Now, my sweet, sincere, non confrontational friend is from North Dakota and she is not familiar with the two types of tortillas. She could tell you all about the differences between all the kinds of rice, but just not tortillas. Being new to her gluten free diet, she ate her meal happily and did not realize until the end that something was wrong until she started to get a massive stomach ache. We realized she had actually gotten flour instead of corn tortillas. When I brought this up to our waiter, he said (super confrontationally) "oh, I wish you would have told me this when I put in your order" when he had recommended the meal! He then refused to serve us. We then told a poor busser the events and he obligingly said he would call a manager over. The manager then condescended my friend for not knowing the difference, and asked what HE wanted from US. Feeling super awkward, we eventually haggled to getting her meal at half price (while she was fighting back tears because she was feeling super uncomfortable). Our supposed waiter then threw our tab down on the table and refused to acknowledge his mistake. It was incredibly uncomfortable and demeaning, all while my friend was having a significant uncomfortable reaction to her food. I've never had such a horrible wait service, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who has any sort of food allergy. They were rude, cocky, and made us feel horrible for the food that we had ordered. Do not recommend. The manager could have apologized, but he lost 4 customers who will now describe nothing but a bad experience at this restaurant.
We had a wonderful Easter Brunch! Our 4 meals were delicious and such beautiful presentation. Our favorite dishes Waffles y Ma's and Carnitas & Juevos Ranchero, never disappoint. We also tried their new dessert, Capritada. It's a fantastic bread pudding and cinnamon roll combo. I highly recommend it!!! The service is admirable and so personal.
Some of the food was great! - the tampiquena steak, the tres leches cake. Some was was just average. But overall it was very nice, and I'd go back.
the exhaust fan either wasn't working or they had had a lot of grease issues in the kitchen. the front dining room was filled with the smell of the grill and was smokey or something. they ended up opening the front door which was just next to where we were seated so that made of table cold.
food was pretty good. don't expect authentic desserts though. I was soooo looking forward to the tres leches but it was a big disappointment. just a muffin soaked in some sweet milk with a tiny dollop of whipped cream sitting next to it.
we went for Restaurant Week and it was not worth the $35/person we paid.
We will not return.
My sister and I had made our reservation for Restaurant Week before we decided to go on our respective weight loss journeys. So, we were careful in what we ordered and ate (we did not order the Restaurant Week menu, which looked divine, because it included dessert and we wanted cocktails instead). We both order seafood dishes; I subbed beans and my sister subbed the cabbage & cactus slaw for rice. We got the tableside guacamole. Everything was delicious and satisfying. It was a real treat. Definitely will go there again.
Went with a group of 10 for my birthday and the server was amazing. He overheard me saying I was a vegetarian and asked if he could surprise me with a spicy vegetable dish. It was amazing! Everyone qas very friendly and accommodating for bigger groups.
middle of road, ordinary, nothing exceptional,
rice was a little salty
Went there for restaurant week. The food was okay but not great. We felt like it was over priced.
I loved my Paloma. And the Quesadilla was good - you can't really mess that up. It was just a different type of menu than we were expecting. A bit eclectic, not fully Mexican which is what we were looking for.
The food was very good. But the whole restaurant was very Smokey for some reason.
Overall a good place to have dinner. Went for Valentines Day was not crowded at 6pm.
Great service and willing to allow us to make special requests
Great waitstaff. The owner came out to meet us. He suggested some menu items and we selected one of those. The food and the service were outstanding. Will definitely go back another time.
The food and staff are always the best! Always go here to watch the games and never been disappointed.
The service was excellent. Thanks, Jennifer! As to the food, the value is questionable. Prices are a bit high with the food being above average, but not equal to the prices. Not certain I would go back.
The service and setting were nice, and the margaritas were very tasty. The apps and mains were presented beautifully. But they were almost tasteless. Not what I would have thought for modern Latino Americano fare. I don’t think we will go back.
The place is great, the only thing I dont like is that I made reservation for a group of 10and we did not get sitted until the whole group was there, one of the owner is kind of arrogant!!! There is more places in town with better service
We had such a fun evening with wonderful food- started with ceviche and then shared a spicy, mixed seafood dish. Our waiter who was also the bartender made us fabulous margaritas and even created a new drink for me that was delicious. Great fun and a great evening!
Great food and service
The food and service and drinks were great, the portion sizes also good, but an for three people, each of us ordered an entree and a cocktail, the tab was 150 dollars....unbelievably expensive considering my entree was 26, which means my margarita was also close to 20 dollars? That's a bit ridiculous, fresh juices or not.
My chilliquiles were a little salty. I heard that about some of the other dishes as well. Saying this my dish was like I get in Mexico. Everyone enjoyed our friends brunch.
I love the selection of authentic , but not the common Mexican dishes you find elsewhere, although you can also find tacos and traditional dishes. The ceviche is cut in tiny pieces and served gourmet style for a delicious appetizer or a light meal. I have brought a large and a medium size group and friends and family in many occasions and I love it every time. The management team of two brothers teamed up to make this restaurant a top choice! They have scrumptious seafood dishes, healthy choices and comfort food. Their drinks are also unique, may have cucumber, jalapeno or fresh herbs!. The prices are very reasonable and the deco is very tastefully done!
Very impressed with the food and the service (Hector) was excellent. The margarita was also a winner.
Our server was on top of everything and made my birthday dinner amazing! Highly recommend this place.
Great service, really good food! The spicy margarita was fantastic!
Ate here while on business in Denver. It was a short walk from my hotel and not busy at all when I arrived at 5pm. The food was good and service attentive. I liked the queso and the house margarita.
Awesome food as always!
Sunday night, was quiet, Wasn't expecting much, server didn't interact much but they were closing soon so that's understandable. Food was good, margaritas strong, hot sauce hot, was a good visit.
