The food is absolutely delicious. Definitely will come back when we visit Victoria.
It was lovely. The food was tert
Very good food, and local as well which was good. Extensive wine list and lots of knowledge to go with it. All 4 of out group thoroughly enjoyed the food. Service was relaxed and there when we wanted it. All in all a very positive experience.
Visit to Victoria. Excellent experience. Our server, Jim, was outstanding. Highly recommended.
I reserved months ago and didn’t consider the season, the restaurant was hosting two parties this night. Our server was great as was the food, we had a very enjoyable evening celebrating my spouses birthday.
If you're looking for a delicious meal and surprising cocktails, this is a great farm-to-fork place. Don't be fooled by the menu notes that they recommend a dish be shared with the group -- the portions are on the smallish side -- unless what they mean is that the dishes are so tasty it would be cruel not to let your friends have a bite.
Service was a little slow, but other than that (and the fact that a neighboring table spilled a bottle of wine down our pants), would still highly recommend any person visiting Victoria to give this place a try. The Humboldt squid -- how did they get it that tender? The charcuterie for 2 is a great appetizer for 4. And the cappelletti. Mm... mm... mm!
Our second time here, I think we’ll eat here whenever we’re back in Victoria. The Humboldt squid was again delicious and we tried the Toast—crab and hand-peeled shrimp on, yes, toast; another super hit. Lamb ragu was also excellent though I was eating it for the flavour rather than because I was still hungry.
Staff are excellent m; always there but not annoyingly so, and very knowledgeable. Food is local and sustainable. And we got a map showing where much of it comes from on the Island.
This restaurant has a relaxed yet eloquent feel, the food is top shelf and artfully plated. The chefs tasting menu was superb. Their Tiramisu is the absolute best. This very quickly became our favorite restaurant for dinner while living in Victoria .
Yikes. The hostess was rude and abrasive. The bar lady was awesome. Our server was great. The potions were tiny. We needed to go elsewhere for more food. And the loo was overflowing. When we told them they did nothing.
We did the five course meal with wine parings. Great food and amazing service.
Our most delicious dining experience in Victoria. Will definitely return. Thank you!
One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. Service was great and the food even better. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Victoria.
I ordered the salmon and explained to the server that I wanted it cooked more than chefs like to cook salmon. I made it clear it wanted it well done as I don’t like my fish “undercooked.” Our server completely dismissed me and said the chef cooks everything perfect and I’ll get it the way the chef cooks it and it’ll be perfect. As I feared it wasn’t “perfect” it was “underdone!” I’m sorry I can’t eat salmon that is not cooked through, I don’t like the texture. I know that the chefs don’t want to over cook the fish but I made it clear that’s exactly what i wanted. Of course I had to send it back so when the manager came over to see how our things were I asked her politely to send it back she did but then our food was out at different times and the snotty attitude of the server after I sent the salmon back was palpable.
The rest of the food was amazing and I’m sure the salmon is amazing too.
Note there are three restaurant’s 10 acres commons, 10 acres kitchen and 10 acres bistro. When looking up menus the bistro is the one that is shown.
Went with my picky in-law. Food was amazing! Drinks were outstanding!
Very fresh and varied menu. We tried squid, salmon and clams - all were very good. Service efficient and friendly. I would absolutely go back.
The only thing I would look at is the wine. Quite expensive and quality was not what I hoped for. I did have a very good cocktail instead!
Amazing from the moment we walked in. From the service to the food, top notch experience. Will most definitely be returning
BEST FOOD EVER!! We've been to 10 Acres Kitchen a few times now and it never disappoints. Everything we order is fantastic! The food is so delicious, it melts in your mouth! Would highly recommend eating here.
It was great re. food, service and ambience - all wonderful. The only small flaw was a very noisy party in the Commons next door - that was a bit distracting at times.
Great cocktails, yummy appetizers, fresh seafood, but the desserts was not my favourite
We had the tasting menu; outstanding dishes, picture perfect presentation, perfect quantities. Our server (Jessica?) Was attentive, informative, pleasant. The evening was a complete pleasure and a wonderful experience.
My husband and I were staying at the Empree Hotel, across the street, so this was an exciting find for quiet ambiance (off season Oct. 31) , to have a bottle of wine and a lovely assortment of fresh oysters and pasta.
The food was excellent West Coast style. I deducted one star because they didn’t serve bread, which would have been good with some of the dishes. The service was friendly and attentive but not overwhelming. The ambiance was pretty good but lost one star due to cross-noise on two music streams - one might have been from the Commons. It is a bit overpriced, but that was expected m, due to its appeal to tourists.
This is absolutely the best dining experience my wife and I have had in Victoria. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. We expected something casual with high quality food but were blown away by the beautiful decor and spectacular service. The staff were attentive and outgoing. The food was amazing. The whole experience started date night in the best way possible. Very highly recommended.
Enjoyed the visit with friends. We would come back
Great. Tasting menu. Main course was not as good as expected.
This is so delicious, we have had the tasting menu and it was fabulous. We have also ordered alacarte eveyone in our party enjoyed there choices.
Great food - really enjoyed the meal and the service was great
The service was excellent. The baked beets were delicious, the toast was also very good. The appies are a very good portion. We had the chocolate tart for dessert. Was enough for 3 of us. So rich and divine.overall a good experience.
Lovely restaurant with delicious food. Busy evening, attentive service and relaxing atmosphere. Came here for the Halibut... unfortunately they ran out. The Beet salad and the Linquine Vongole were both outstanding choices. The wine was some of the best ever. Thank you.
Excellent dining experience! Food delicious, service excellent, great atmosphere, noise levels just right. Highly recommended!
Very nice restaurant and great food options. Extremely hard to find when you are a visitor to Victoria.
What a great meal and a great atmosphere !
Tasty and healthy!!
Excellent service !!!
This place came highly recommended. It was exactly as billed, local cuisine prepared artfully. I would recommend it for special occasions.
The food was awesome. The presentation, attention to detail, the awakening of our taste buds... all incredible. One of the best dinning experiences we have ever experienced. Hats off and thank you. Ee will be back next time we are in Victoria.
Curtis, Michele, and Phoebe.
No matter how "farm-fresh" and "food-to-table" a restaurant may be, it's still necessary to 1) Update the menu with the ACTUAL entree' and accompaniments that guests will receive, and 2) Require each server to know EXACTLY what is in each dish, including desserts! Stay away from this tourist trap.
I don’t particularly enjoy watching mice run around while I’m eating. If it weren’t for this problem I would have enjoyed my experience way more. The bus boy was great, however the servers relied on him way too much, so much so that he was at the table more than they were.
Fantastic. Have the tasting menu and wine pairing!
Wonderful food. Great combination of flavors using very fresh local ingredients.
Not to be missed if you go to BC
10 Acres Kitchen is one of our favourite restaurants. The staff are helpful and friendly. Seating is booths that provide good separation from other guests, so noise is minimal.
