10 Acres Kitchen
The Kitchen offers slightly finer dining offering dinner 7 nights a week. Staying fresh + local with the best products from land + sea.
5pm first seating, 10 pm last seating
The food was awesome. The presentation, attention to detail, the awakening of our taste buds... all incredible. One of the best dinning experiences we have ever experienced. Hats off and thank you. Ee will be back next time we are in Victoria.

I don’t particularly enjoy watching mice run around while I’m eating. If it weren’t for this problem I would have enjoyed my experience way more. The bus boy was great, however the servers relied on him way too much, so much so that he was at the table more than they were.
Fantastic. Have the tasting menu and wine pairing!
Wonderful food. Great combination of flavors using very fresh local ingredients.
Not to be missed if you go to BC
10 Acres Kitchen is one of our favourite restaurants. The staff are helpful and friendly. Seating is booths that provide good separation from other guests, so noise is minimal.
Our server was fantastic. The food and the wine pairing was on point. This restaurant is one of the best in the city.
We came to The Kitchen for our Thanksgiving dinner this year (instead of cooking) and found the meal to be
really delicious. Everyone loved it and our table service was excellent.
My only comment would be on the hostess service which I found to be somewhat cool and standoff - ish. When we arrived we weren't greeted warmly and felt as though we were an imposition when we were asked to have a seat until our table was ready. The hostess did update me that it would be about 15 mins before we could be seated for our reservations ( we were a bit early ) but again didn't deliver the message in such a way as to say they were happy we were there etc. In addition, she brushed off another patron who inquired about a table ( with reservation, I believe ) who she also told to just "have a seat/wait" who also grew impatient/somewhat frustrated with being "ignored".
Likely I would have not taken much notice of this event if I hadn't already felt like I'd received the same treatment when reserving, during a confirmation call and following up...
Lastly, we did visit the Bistro, the day early which was good food and service.
I really like this concept of restaurant; farm to table, you know exactly what you are getting! The food was superb, but the service was good but not great to be honest! It felt very disjointed and I saw the server standing around a lot doing not much, while the busser was doing most of the work. Also I was late by 15 mins and they called me saying they would release my table if I wasn't there.....quite rude to be honest. I know they have that right but they can word it differently.
Service felt inattentive once we were seated. We waited noticeably long for our server to arrive at our tables and for the food to come.
I’d suggest one of their other locations, bistro or commons.
Excellent dining experience, menu, preparation and presentation all done thoughtfully. Front of house staff were excellent. Ambience was great, noise level not too high. Pricing in line with similar venues in the area. Would recommend and will return.
Great meal and service! Farm to table is a great concept! Enjoyed the experience!
We lived it so much, we took our friends on Sunday night! Our server, Lisa and the sommelier were exceptional!
They accommodated two special diet needs without a problem. Food was excellent.
There were three adults and all of us were impressed by the delicious food and wonderful service. I don’t say this as often as I used to because I seem to be getting pickier the older I get, but I would definitely go back.!
The gnocchi was terrible. Over cooked and mush. That being said, the squid and pork tenderloin was amazing. The service was good, missed a few wine pours.
Our waiter Jim was excellent and provided great suggestions. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious. Would recommend to everyone.
Loved the ambiance and decor. The food was ok - quite pricy for what we got. Had to send a plate back but it was handled very well.
Everything about 10 Acres Kitchen was perfect. I had a wonderful Kombucha and gin cocktail to start the meal. Since I was alone, I ate two appetizers as my meal. I had the squid with peanuts and the melon with prosciutto. Both were ridiculously good. My waitress was the perfect balance of attentive while also giving me space. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great meal and cares where their ingredients are sourced.
Absolutely amazing! We did the Tasting Menu with 10 Acres Wine Pairings. Beautiful dishes paired perfectly with the wines. The woman serving us did an amazing job explaining the wines, the dishes and the pairings. Great ambiance and an incredible memory. We will definitely be back!
Simply a treat! I found this restaurant in a review of the best places to eat in Victoria, and totally concur with that description. The ambiance and service were top notch without being pretentious, and the food... well, my 87 year old (and difficult to please) mother said it was the best dinner she’d ever eaten. Again, I have to agree: from the signature cocktails, to the melon and prosciutto appetizer, the gnocchi (totally amazing), our main courses of salmon and strip steak, and finally a decadent dark chocolate tart with homemade (yes, really) ice cream - we were in heaven. So glad we found the Ten Acres Kitchen!
Excellent meal, great selection of BC wines by the glass, halibut dish was exquisite
Had the tasting menu, very nice and presented beautifully. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Friendly and lively restaurant. EXtensive wine list of French wines. Authentic cuisine with local products
GF option for main was dry unseasoned fish and boiled potato
The food was delicious. Everything was fresh and locally sourced. Excellent service and relaxing ambience. Would go back again.
Not all what we were expecting. Farm to table concept ... not at 10 Acres Kitchen. A very uncomfortable room (no windows, badly decorated) and horrible service.
Outstanding meal. Had tasting menu. Wonderful fresh ingredients. Would go back in a heartbeat
Very pleasant and attentive wait staff. The dining area was very nice. The fried oyster appetizer was heavily breaded, which made it difficult to taste the oysters. The salmon was good, but the accompanying vegetables were very bland. Seasoning was very minimal. Pasta dish was good. All dishes were a little overpriced.
A most enjoyable dinner with good friends. We'll certainly do that again - soon!
What a great experience, we shall be going back. Local content, presentation, quality and portions make this a great experience.
We felt very lucky to have picked 10 Acres Kitchen for our shared birthday trip to Victoria. It was a lovely, quick walk from the Empress and the food and service was outstanding!
Overall, the food was good. However, with two of the items in our group, the desire to be trendy and creative leaves the flavor and texture of the food coming up a bit short.
I went to 10 acres for a special birthday celebration. Everything was ok but not outstanding and was pricey. There was no mention of the special birthday during dinner and the service was fair at best. I might return but would not highly recommend this place.
Wonderful food and service. Outstanding food, especially the pork entree and cheesecake. Very attentive and helpful service from all.
Best meal I've ever had in Victoria...can't wait to visit the bistro.
My wife and I have eaten at 10 Acres three times and it has really been hit or miss. The first time was pretty good and so we decided to go back and it was outstanding; however, on our third visit it was actually fairly disappointing. The 1st and third visits were on a week night while the second was on a weekend; perhaps the kitchen staff is different between weekdays and weekends?
On a recent 2 week trip from Seattle and to Vancouver island, this was one of two best experiences. Our server, Jim, was outstanding in all areas . I had a squid appetizer that was amazing and the best squid dish I have ever had. My pork chop was the best I have ever eaten, prepared sous vide then browned, and the rest of the plate was creative yet very complimentary regarding flavor and texture. My wife has halibut and it was likewise excellent with fresh and creative local veggies. Jim paired these dishes with great wines at reasonable prices. Outstanding!
4 of us had dinner here and all 4 of us agreed the food and experience was “just okay”, and not worth the expensive cost. We all agreed we would not return in the future and would not recommend the restaurant to our friends. We were actually surprised this restaurant had such a high rating.
The food was very good . It took 10-15 min to get my beer after I order it. Same thing for the bill and the restaurant was not crowded. The rest was perfect.
Fantastic. Quiet room ,great service ,great food. Easy ,comfortable ,attentive knowledgeable service. A great concept “farm to table “.it works all around.
