Excellent location for a special celebration. Celebrated w/ long-time friends their
50th Wedding anniversary. Had brunch on the outdoor patio (formally drive-thru
court.) Ambience, food, and especially food were outstanding. A great server made
the meal really special, and we all had a fabulous brunch celebration. Thank you One
Pico for making a special event even more special!!!
Excellent food and service, especially for a hotel restaurant. Would definitely come back. Lamb chops were tender and the branzino was moist and cooked perfectly.
really good food and the seafood in particular is great.Sharing appetizers is a good idea we had 3 between 5 of us.Main courses are by California standard big.next time we would take an outside table.
We had a late Sunday brunch to celebrate our daughter's High School graduation. The garden courtyard setting was just perfect. Due to the Memorial Day Weekend, the streets were closed off so access to the hotel was nearly impossible. We were already running late so when we arrived we had to order immediately as the kitchen was closing. Our food came quickly and was beautiful and delicious. We had the catch of the day (small portion but tasty), spinach-ricotta omelet (with side of lox), and the lobster benedict (almost worth $35!). They forgot the lox for my daughter's dish but brought it immediately when asked. $10 parking was not too bad given the convenience of valet parking. I would go again in the evening to see that beautiful courtyard in the twinkling lights.
Ate at 1 Pico for our second night of our 22nd anniversary celebration. Great ambiance, terrific service. The food was just fantastic, and the bourbon and mescal cocktail? One was all that was needed for a guy who likes two!
Underwhelmed for an overpriced, limited menu. Food was eh and service was lacking. It was the most expensive meal we ate on our trip and we had much better overall experience at all the other restaurants we ate at. Take my advice and go to the Ivy instead: the food, service and drinks are 100 times better.
First time in the upper part of the restaurant. Window seat! Quiet and lovely. Expert and non-stuffy service. Food was excellent. A bit more sea urchin in the parpardelle would have moved the food from a 4 to a 5! Thanks for a lovely first night back in L.A.
The food was phenomenal and reasonably priced. Cocktails are expensive but top shelf. Service was excellent. I highly recommend!!!
Beautiful setting for our 51st wedding
It felt so great being back inside enjoying a lovely evening looking out on the Pacific. Johnathon, our waiter is always a joy and the entire team was so upbeat and accommodating. Back to normal ! Thank you for making date night so special
Wonderful experience overall
Food was OK, but it’s all about the service to make a memorable experience. Our server was friendly but non-existent. Water was never refilled, when he would scan the area he looked above our heads, appearing to check on things, but not really seeing. We asked for time to enjoy our cocktails before we ordered. Our waiter never returned or checked if we were ready. We had to flag him down. Food arrived slowly and a cobbler served in a “hot” cast iron skillet was lukewarm at best.
We expected better from a highly rated restaurant.
Casual and elegant brunch spot. Great food and gracious service, just steps away from the beach.
It was such a great experience! The ambiance was amazing! The service was perfect! Everyone was very professional! Can’t wait to eat here again! The server Matt was great!
P.s the waffles that came with the ‘Chicken and Waffles’ were soo fluffy! Literally the best waffle I ever had!
Hostess was great and setting was very nice.
Outdoor seating was pleasant and tables were adequately separated.
Entrees were excellent - branzino, chicken, steak, lamb chops.
Soup was ok, well prepared, but not to everyone's taste.
Drinks were all good.
Service was attentive, accurate, and courteous.
My husband and I had a fantastic dinner at 1 Pico — the food, setting and service were perfect! At the end of our Mela the server asked us if we were celebrating a special occasion but we were not — we just really enjoyed ourselves!
Such a beautiful courtyard and the food was delicious.
Visit to remember our mom who passed away two years ago. She loved Santa Monica. Here to celebrate her memory for Mother’s Day.
For the price, the food and service were mediocre. Staff were friendly and polite. But it was hard to get anyone’s attention for salt and pepper, and there were zero offers/refills on coffee and water.
Such a beautiful place. Everything was delicious and the service amazing. Came for dinner but Looks great for lunch too
A tad overpriced but expected as it is a world class hotel on the beach.
My first time eating here, even though it's attatched to Shutters on the beach and is in my neighborhood. So glad I tried it. We sat outside and the ambiance was lovely, as was the food. I'll definitely be back!
Nice in all ways. Outdoor
Usually we enjoy 1Pico brunches. This was our first dinner. Food was delicious and service was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely.
Waiter was not dismissive and the table was not ready for 30 minutes after the reservation. It was cool in the restaurant. Perhaps due to covid and fresh air? Have had good times in the past. This was a low point.
The food was very good but I don’t like paying $180 for a meal and freezing while sitting in the hotel’s lobby entrance next to a steady stream of cars going down the street. They either need to improve outdoor dining or discontinue it. What an embarrassment!!!
The uni linguine was one of best new dishes I've had in a while!
Celebrated a 60th birthday and everything was perfect. Started with cocktails in the bar and moved to the dining room. Food was fabulous and service was excellent.
Not one to give poor reviews, so I apologize in advance for my honesty. While the venue and service was really great, I thought the food was mediocre especially at the price point. We had the hamachi crudo, wagyu sliders, oysters, and calamari, and without exaggeration the best thing was the fries that came with the very tiny sliders. Drinks were also quite weak at $20/pop. Definitely some work to be done on matching quality of food to menu prices, but overall I'd give it another shot. Thanks again for the great service.
Waiter was not as expected at this fancy place.., but food was amazing
Perfect for easter
Perfect for our group of 4 adults of 2 generations with different dietary needs and preferences. Pricey but worth it to us for a special birthday because it was lovely, friendly, and delicious. The valet parking meant we could enjoy our Saturday brunch protected from beach chill and still have time for a leisurely short stroll on the boardwalk afterwards.
Mixed experience. The maitre d was wonderful and I love they’ve converted the valet area to a patio. Our waitress was very cold and standoffish and acted like she didn’t want to be there. Service was also excruciatingly slow. Had to ask three times for water and had to ask at every course for basic utensils like spoons for the sauces for the oysters. A luxury hotel should know better. The runners/bus boys were attentive though overstretched and working really hard to make up for the server’s scarcity. Food was good but not worth the prices.
Very limited wine selection
Unfortunately the service was substandard. Took forever for our drinks and food. Extremely expensive. Won’t return
