Food was amazing and the service was outstanding! Jorge was an awesome server and the view of Times Square is to die for. Would definitely return!
Great vibe and even better views!! Service was excellent
I cant remember how great the food was but the stunning view.
View was incredible and the food was delicious! The service was slow but it was ok became we were in no rush!
The food was excellent, servers seemed a little unhappy but by far the best view!
Fantastic hidden gem. I had local friends take me here on my last trip so I met visiting friends this trip and I totally wowed them. They were blown away by the view of Times Square. Drinks were not overpriced and our snacks and desserts were deliscious. Kudos to the matre’ de who after I made reservation on Open Table I called to ask for a window table. He was not put out by it and when I arrived a bit early he had our table waiting. This was Monday July 2. Thank you for a great experience!!
The place is beautiful and has so much potential. The food is pretty good, but the service is terrible. We did not receive silvers and napkins. We had to use the paper napkin that was under our glass of water, when I asked for more napkins they brought more small paper ones that you typically use to put the glasses on. Luckily we had a panini and a burger so we managed to eat without silvers, but seriously what kind of restaurant doesn’t at least as if you want a fork and knife?!?! Also I asked if they had a Moscow Mule, and the waiter said yes. They brought me a Moscow mule in a regular glass.... when I told them that that was not a Moscow mule glass, the waiter replied no where in the City they use the copper mug, which is clearly wrong and he asked me to name a place where they use copper mugs, and after I listed them he had nothing to say.
Had a great time. Food and service was spectacular. The view was unbelievable. Thanks
The service was impecable , the food amazing and the view tremendous ...... we could not have asked for a better experience
We went from Vancouver, BC and had a reunion with our lovely cousin after 10 years! The food was very good & the view of Times Square was fascinating!
Booked one month in advance, requested table by the window, even called a day before to make sure it can be accommodated. However, upon arrival exactly on time of the reservation, told the host/manager I had a reservation and gave them my name, there was no effort made to check with a reservation list, probably don’t have a list at all due to poor management. He brought us (full party of 4 all present) to a table for 2, not by the window as we’ve had requested one month ago and our party is supposed to be for a table of four. After compromising on this unfortunate situation and eventually sat down at a table, we waited for 10 minutes and no waiter came around offering water or anything. Poor service, poor management, completely lack customer care, walked out after 10 minutes. Will not recommend or come back to this restaurant ever again. Open table should take them off the open table reservation system.
The view of Times Square is spectacular-there were 6 of us visiting NYC from Texas -made reservations well in advance and were seated by the window to the delight of my 15 year old granddaughter who picked this wonderful place because of the view.
This place is all about the view! This is actually my 3rd time here because it is a great place to impress guests. We went for an early bite to eat before a 7pm broadway show. It is difficult to get to with the crowds in Times Square but it pays off once you get upstairs and get to see the view. It is super accessible to several broadway shows. Tip: Make a reservation and ask for a window seat if you can.
The servers were slow, the language barrier was a nuisance. The view was amazing, the menu selection was blah. The hostess was the sweetest ever, had she been my server I would have given this place a higher rating! The presentation of the food was nice.
Had a reservation but still waited 20-30 minutes to get seated.
Lovely location for a view of bustling Times Square. My husband and I were very pleased with our server, even though we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated (with reservation). It was a prime time (Saturday) and locale, so I get it. I had the duck leg--very good, surprisingly good. Our favorite aspect of this place was the view and location. Our server also made it very nice, making sure our order was out in timely fashion so we could make our show.
Great place to see Time Square!!! Views all around with the floor to ceiling windows! Great burger and fries! It was amazing!!!!
My daughter and I tried the R Lounge based on reviews and the fact that we love views of the city. The hostess was very accommodating, almost overly so. We did have a reservation, but had to wait about 10 minutes, and she apologized over and over. It was fine. We had a couple appys and split the ravioli. I was surprised, as the menu online was different, but it was still very good. Our dirty dishes and glasses were always promptly removed, and the service was unobtrusive but thorough And what a view!!
The servers are typically very disengaged. You hungry? Thirsty? Music too loud? They almost care, but not quite. They have other more important things going on (none of which are related to caring for customers).
And the music WAS crazy loud. It was 11pm (after a Broadway show). We had 5 adults and an 11 year old at our table. Many tables around us also had tweens and teens. It's a great spot to see the lights of Broadway. But the DJ thought he was at a bumping party on the Jersey Shore. The music was mysteriously loud given the quiet crowd. And, as I mentioned, no one who worked there (did included) cared.
I'll go back again for the amazing view, against my better judgement, but be warned.... You don't matter!
Unbelievable view. Food good, service good, prices very reasonable. Definitely on our to-do list the next time we visit New York.
The menu is limited, the food is mediocre, the music is too loud, and the AC is too cold. But the friendly staff members and unbeatable views of Times Square (at night when Broadway is all lit up) makes this restaurant worth going to for the the experience of feeling like you are smack in the middle of a video game. Bring your kids. They will love it.
Ambiance is ideal for a classic NYC experience so factor this into prices. Cocktails are weak but tasty. Wine is overpriced for pour size. Food is basic but good. You pay for view and it’s worth every penny!
Well, the menu showed online was NOT the menu we received. We were so excited for shrimp, special summer cocktails and desserts, none of which were on the menu. Kind of an old bait and switch. We chose this place because I sent everyone the menu in advance. We planned what we were eating then nothing was available. Hostess was very friendly and that was a plus
GREAT LOCATION WITH AN INCREDIBLE VIEW. WONDERFUL SERVICE FROM THE HOSTESS AND THE WAIT STAFF.
HAPPY WE FOUND THIS PLACE. MAKES EVERYDAY PEOPLE FEEL INCLUDED IN THE FINER THINGS.
WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED
The table was not ready when we arrived.
Music too loud and people unresponsive to our plea.
But the rest was ok.
Great atmosphere really good food and cocktails. The only problem was the service which was pretty bad. Slow forgetful and very inattentive. If you go knowing this you can have a great night!
Wonderful view of time square and amazing food/drinks. Our waitress even had the chef come discuss vegan options. Relaxed and fun place to enjoy New York City. Best part of our day and yes kids are welcome.
Everything was good here.. the food options were a little limited so check out the menu before going.
The food was intentionally prepared and presented. The views of times square were energizing and yet relaxing at the same time. Staff were friendly and laid back. I would recommend this as a place for a casual bite to eat, and it is only a few blocks from Broadway.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, food tasted great and was served quickly. Fantastic view of times square!
Celebrated a 21st Birthday at the R Lounge overlooking Times Square. It was fantastic! Food was delicious and service extraordinary. A perfect setting for our celebration. Highly recommend.
It is a fantastic place to eat on your very first trip to NYC! Great food and even better view.
The R Lounge was FANTASTIC! Best view and fabulous pre-theatre meal!
The spot and view is excellent!!! Definitely worth visiting when in Times Square.
Great views of Times Square but the service and *most* of the food we ordered was not good. I would recommend grabbing drinks but going elsewhere for dinner. At one point, every single server was gone and they were all gone for at least 15 minutes..
Il faisait extrêmement froid, le service était approximati peu efficacede.
On y va pour la vue. Le burger était correct. Le vin rouge était glacial...
Donc oui pour la vue.
Rien de plus
The air conditioning was far too cold. A number of people complained but I wondered if it was deliberate to encourage a quick turnover as there were plenty of people waiting for tables. I would’ve stayed for more drinks/desert if it hadn’t been so cold. Food was over priced, with small portions. Fabulous view from window seats though
The place is nice. We went to see the Times Square view.
We had reservations and they still made us wait, even though we could see empty tables from the door. We had to insist to get seated and after 15 minutes of waiting we got to our table.
Food was great
