About R J Grunt's
The first Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, Grunts still exudes the funky, devil-may-care lifestyle of the 70s in its style, décor, music, and menu. Happily for all of us, the best eating of that day continues to be some of the best today.
While there"s a huge menu that's as much fun to eat your way through as it is to read, many of Grunts' old favorites spark return visits. The burgers are arguably the best in town. The salad bar boasts more than 50 ingredients daily. Giant malts and milkshakes are hand scooped and come in a rainbow of favors. Oh! Don't forget the barbecued baby back ribs and pulled pork sandwiches!

R J Grunt's Ratings and Reviews
The salad bar had a wide variety plus the items were properly cut for a salad. I ordered a medium well cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection. This burger was probably the best burger I have had the pleasure to enjoy! The tables in this restaurant are very close together. On a Saturday late morning we experienced children who thought they were dining at home - talking excessively load, roaming about invading our space by tipping chairs back into where we were seated. We tried twice to slide our table further from them. The parents did nothing to help these children learn restaurant etiquette. This is obviously not RJ Grunts' fault but shared so people know what to expect.
Seats need some cushions. Service was great. I had the triple tuna melt, I would toast the muffins way more. The tuna was cold and the cheese was not melted very much. I would have sent it back but I was super hungry. The homemade chips were great just enough salt and very tasty. I think more attention to small details like the tuna melt could improve.
Well we did make reservations for 9 people at 1pm but when we got there they made us wait for 30 minutes. The table we were going to have the people at it were finished with their meals and paid for it too. They just sat there for 30 minutes doing nothing but talking. This shouldn't be when others made a reservation and are waiting.
It was my second time here and they dis not disappoint. Thr burgers are really 1/2 pound and filling. The turkey club comes with a lot of meat but could have more bacon. Our service was great and tho its tucked away on the side of the building, its def worth the confusion to find it. Go for lunch bc you wont need dinner
Pretty bad service from the host stand. Couldn’t find our reservation. Then kept talking over us while seating us when we kept saying we had 4 adults and 1 baby in a car seat and needed a table to accommodate that. Overall the place is small and univiting. They have some weird salad bar that nobody was using. Food was pretty mediocre. Definitely better burgers in Chicago.
