Qulinarnia Ratings and Reviews
one word sums it up "WOW" :) i honestly recommend the steak here. i have eaten here a few times already and the steak is to die for. the lamb chops were also very good. the mushroom soup is delicious. recommend the plumbs for dessert . overall every thing on the menu i have had so far is good.
Our party of four ate at Qulinarnia for a recent Sunday lunch. The restaurant is in strip mall, but is pleasant inside. We were promptly shown to our table and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Our party had the chicken soup and the mushroom soup, which were each quite good. For our main courses, we had the chicken breast, pork tenderloins, lamb chops, and goulash. Everyone enjoyed the food. The portions were not small, so we did not have any dessert. We'll definitely return.
We've been there many times, and the food was always hot and served perfectly. This time our food was cold and the service staff was no where to be found. The restaurant only had four tables with guests and they were done dining. Hope this once favorite place is not going down hill, perhaps just an off night.
Qulinarnia was a great experience overall! I was looking for a restaurant near my hotel and came across Qulinarnia which advertised "modern" Polish cuisine. That intrigued me and I invited a friend who is married to a Pole, to come out and try the cuisine with me and my husband. We were not disappointed! My rusk pierogi filled with cheese and potato were plentiful, delicious, not greasy, and garnished with bacon bits and green onions. My friend enjoyed the beef stew with a potato pancake, one of the best potato pancakes she's had. And my husband was quite pleased with the stuffed cabbage rolls with tomato and basil sauce. We all had PLENTY to eat and my friend and I both took home leftovers. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!
First time at Qulinarnia. Was impressed with the food - good Polish with a modern update. Lots of things to choose from and many that I wanted to try. Atmosphere was quiet and casual. Service was attentive but could be more "professional", considering that the place was billed as more upscale. Same with the wine selection - 3 white and 3 red and all average to below average. No coffee was offered after dinner or with desert - don't know if they actually server coffee/tea. For such a small place I was hoping that the chef might step out and greet the customers, but that didn't happen. Will go back again some time but I hope they step is up. It has great potential.
I always tend to bring friends and family here for a lunch or dinner. The food is freshly prepared, the presentations are unique and there are plenty of choices. This lunch we each had a bowl of the horseradish soup - divine. Then she shared pierogi, potato pancakes and sauerkraut.
When I brought my grandsons here for dinner recently they each tried a different soup while I had the mixed salad - delightful. They had the pierogies and the potato pancakes and I had the risotto with shrimps - so yummy.
We had 7 p.m. reservations for a party of 6 on a Sat. evening. By 8:30 the waiter was literally standing behind us waiting for us to take the last bite of food so he could swoop up the plates. In 2 instances the person still had the fork in his hand. By 8:40 kitchen staff were standing by the door with their coats on waiting to leave. This made for a most uncomfortable dining experience. I guess their hours were until 9 p.m. and it was most apparent that they wanted diners out the door before that.
Food was quite good but based on above would not recommend or return.
Very nice and quaint restaurant. The food is exceptional. The staff are very down to earth, friendly and attentive. I would recommend this spot to anyone who is familiar with Polish cuisine, but especially to those like me who are open to trying something new. I would describe the food as elegant comfort food. The restaurant does not skimp on the portions making it an excellent value for the very reasonable prices. It's like someone's grandmother is back there in the kitchen making Sunday homemade dinner for each meal. Go here for a great dining experience.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and reservations were suggested and I am happy we had made one. we arrived about 40 minutes early thinking we would have a drink at the bar and found out that it didn't really have a true bar (this was disappointing) . There was a small waiting area with about three stools. So we opted to go across the street for a drink and then come back. we were all very glad that we did. The food was outstanding and the service was just as good. I strongly suggest that anyone who has had beet soup in the past to make this a must have. The lobster and spinach pierogi's were also fantastic. can't wait to go back!
went for a dinner w/friends on a Thursday night, even with reservations the place was very busy but we were able to sit at our designated time slot. Owner is also waiter and busboy, wife is at the front. Very, very energetic, obviously very knowledgeable about menu. Only wine and beer, but enough variety to satisfy. Cabbage rolls were heavenly, rocket salad w/salmon delicious, filet steak done to perfection and the pork tenderloin w/mushroom gravy outstanding. Will definitely be going back to try other items. A great neighborhood place.
Amazing meal. We loved everything about this restaurant. We have been looking for a place that has a unique flair in flavors and plating. Each dish came out with just that - we were pleased with every dish we ordered and can't wait to go back. We loved the modern feel on classic polish dishes. Our waitress was lovely and just the right amount of helpfulness. We could not have been more pleased with Qulinarnia and the unique menu and classic flavors that stay true to the roots of Polish cuisine - we will be back and can't wait to try more of your menu very soon.
We had a fun time here. Great suggestions from our waitress, Kasia on both food and wine. The duck, lamb and veal entrees were delicious, also generously portioned. Our group of four shared excellent perogis for an appetizer. We skipped soup, but I will be back to try it.
This is a small place, reservations suggested.
