Quintonil Ratings and Reviews
I've never given 5 stars on OpenTable for food. The meal at Quintonil was absolutely amazing! Blew away our expectations. They have a very talented team of chefs in the back that compliment each other. I would return next time we are in Mexico City without a doubt.
The wine pairing is a can't miss! Well done. Love the variety of mixing beer and sake as well. Superb!
Note: leave ample time to get to the restaurant if you're new to the city. The traffic is bad all night long! 8km took us an hour to travel by car.
We took a lunchtime sitting as there was no availability in the evening & so glad we did. Loved our experience from beginning to end. We chose the tasting menu, the food was well presented, fresh & delicious. The restaurant was a warm relaxed environment & staff were friendly & knowledgeable of the food.
Truly amazing. We had the tasting menu paired with wine. The cuisine was delicious and creative, prepared with local ingredients. The service was impeccable and all the servers did an excellent job explaining and presenting each dish. A fantastic performance.
The ambience leaves a bit to be desired but I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Wow where to begin with Quintonil. We were looking forward to it-- albeit with tempered expectations, but it could still not have disappointed more. The service was halty and we barely got any guidance on the menu or drinks, which was needed especially given their expansive ingredients.
The food was the true low-light. Even with mediocre expectations, based on so-so reviews from friends, we were floored. Did the tasting menu with pairing. I cannot tell you a single bite I enjoyed or remembered fondly the next morning. Their focus on technique and presentation was evident but the execution (aka taste/flavors) was...severely lacking.
Don't waste your money or time here. Wish I could undo the experience, and invest in some serious street food action. Go elsewhere-- the city had plenty better to offer.
Wow! Second time at Quintonil and this visit was nearly three years later after the first. All I can say is amazing. Visited Pujol two days before and Quintonil is a much better option. Better food, service and more relaxed. Thanks for a wonderful evening, Quintonil team.
Wow. Fantastic food and fantastic service. Even the chef was super awesome and gave us a tour of the kitchen was was giving us samplings of different sauces and food that we didn't eat. Way way better than our meal at Pujol. If you have to pick this is the one to go to.
This was an amazing experience. We were a group of 6. Fernando was a great server and was able to explain the menu in both english and spanish which was super helpful. Chef Claus Meyer was the man and came out to serve us some of the dishes and speak to us about what made each dish unique and special. The staff paid a lot of attention to our group and it was a very warm and customized experience. The food was unreal, especially the dry-aged duck. Definitely worthy of a top 25 restaurant. Would come back. Worth every cent.
