Quinn's Steakhouse & Irish Bar Ratings and Reviews
Went to Quinn's for Winterlicious. The taste of the food, food temperature and service were great. I suppose because it is Winterlicious, the 1st and last course we're uncommonly small so, essentially, you are paying $23 for the main, which for was a burger and fries. With tax and tip I paid $30 for a burger (no drink). Food is great but consider marginally increasing the size of 1st and last courses.
The blond haired hostess was obviously displeased when we had a last minute +1, she still stuck us in a 4 person booth & didn’t even offer a chair. Our waiter was so rushed he literally spat out the soup of the day while he walking away. Food was ok but service was something to be desired.
It was my first time here and we came for Winterlicious. Food was outstanding minus the stale brownie. The dessert left us hanging and ended the meal on a low note. Quinn’s Winterlicious is an opportunity to showcase the food gems of your restaurant. You’ll have to aim higher for a 5 star review!
Came here for the first time a couple nights ago. The service was excellent! Our server went the extra mile for us. We were seated at this tiny booth by the hostes and our server got us a more suitable table....we appreciated that a lot! That tiny booth was a bit ridiculous to seat us when the place was not very busy and better seating was available. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice! I would recommend Quinn’s to anyone looking for good food and drinks with an ambience that is warm and welcoming. Had a very good experience here and hope I have the same next time.
Food was good, although steak was seasoned we'll both mine and my girlfriend's were a bit undercooked. I ordered medium well and it was medium, if not bordering medium rare in some spots. Overall can't complain, for winterlicious the menu was worth the price.
The food was phenomenal! My friend and I went to Quinn's during winterlicious and I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had. The crab cake was to die for, the bacon-wrapped tenderloin was tasty and came with the creamiest most delicious mashed potatoes I've ever had, and the creme brulee was yummy! My friend had the brownie and it was good but really tiny.
We were there for winterlious and the scheduling for dinner seemed to be not in order. We had waited 20 mins on top of our reservation. The host put us in a dark corner and when I asked to be relocated she said we weren’t able to because the table next to us was having a large group arrive next, but when I asked our server she had no problem. We were confused as the whole night no other group came for night that required the tables. Folder and the waitress was lovely. But that little hiccup in th beginning set our mood down.
I made a reservation and as soon as we sat down they told us they were busy so we could only have the table for an hour and a half. It didn't set a great time for the evening.
The food wasn't bad but it felt very rushed and the portion sizes were not generous. The starters were really good, I enjoyed their warm mushroom salad. The lemon vinaigrette paired well with the arugula and mushrooms. I had asked for my steak medium rare and it was well done. The dessert was definitely the highlight of the dinner for me. The chocolate pecan brownie was decadent.
The service was wonderful, the food was very good. The section we were in had a fair amount of traffic going to the back part of the restaurant but the atmosphere was good. There is a large bar area that we didn't stop in but looked like fun. We were there for Winterlicious and the menu had many selections. Crab cakes were delicious, beef tenderloin - I should have ordered medium because the medium rare was a little too rare for me. More chocolate sauce on the brownie would have been amazing. Overall we had a great time.
It was very nice. The food was great. It was a bit odd that when we got there they told us we had the table for an hour and a half and then we would have to leave. They anticipated it being busy and we couldn’t stay longer. I heard the hostess tell other people the same thing. But-the food was excellent.
Picked this restaurant for my parents birthday diner, that happens to fall during Winterlious. The staff put us in a private room in the back, which I loved. Our waiter for the night, he brought cheese cake for my parents on the house even tho it was not on the fixed menu. The service was fast, didn't wait long to get our meals. The food- AMAZING! Great experience, I highly recommend.
Unfortunately we never stayed long enough to eat our meal. Our waiter, Sig, was extremely condescending when we ordered mineral water instead of alcohol and presented my mineral water bottle to me as if it were wine! I was so flabbergasted on his rudeness and inappropriate behaviour that we asked to pay for our drinks and left. I was so disappointed as I was looking forward to trying out the place for Winterliscious. I cannot rate the food but this is unacceptable behaviour as I was with my boyfriend who is a recovering alcoholic so I don't drink when together in solidarity. Surreal experience indeed and on top of it, he pretended he did not know what he did wrong. Very disappointed and that treatment doesn't get a second chance. The hostess, in contrast, was extremely professional and courteous.
Went for Winterlicious 2018. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and great for a date night with the hubby. The food was good, but not great.
I was underwhelmed with the Dungeoness crab cake which I expected to be amazing- but found them with more filler than crab- and the filler was potato which was quite odd to a girl who grew up eating Maryland crab cakes bursting with lump crab meat and very little filler (this may also just be a bias).
I had the Neptune filet and my husband had the steak frites. By all appearances, both of our steaks were cooked as we'd asked- medium- but the center was still a little underdone and by the time you get to the center there's no opportunity to send it back for a little extra grill time. The butter for the steak frites was amazing though and really accentuated the flavor of the steak. I was a bit disappointed with the seafood neptune bernaise sauce that accompanied my dish as it seemed where there was little crab in my crab cake- there was no crab here at all (seemed to be the fake crab substitute ,may have been lobster) and half a shrimp- tasty, but again, underwhelming. Dessert and coffee were good. I'd be willing to go again to give them a chance to redeem this occasion. The service was outstanding as our server was quite attentive and eager to help.
The Winterlicious Menu offered very good variety. The filet mignon 'Neptune' was very good. The portions were good, given the three course offering. The waiter did not know much about the wine list, but I took a chance on a lovely Zindfindel from Sonoma County and wasn't disappointed. I will be back to Quinn's!
Went for winterlicious with a few colleagues at work. Steak is fairly decent - we’ll cooked on the outside and juicy in the middle. Whisky spice cake is surprisingly tasty! Service was very efficient and smooth. No waste of time or extends waiting at all! Will certainly come back.
Went to Winterlicious with friends after a show at Roy Thompson Hall. All the food was excellent and even the large portion eaters in my group were fulfilled. Crab Cakes were to die for and the Neptune Tenderloin was done to perfection. Don't skip the lobster mac and cheese, you won't be disappointed. Would go back for sure and recommend to all our friends. Excellent service and noise level is minimal. You can actually talk! Wine prices reasonable. A perfect 10 evening for all.
