   We had our last restaurant meal at Quinn's, just before the Shelter-in-Place order took effect. I had always wanted to go there because it looked like a fun place. It was. The food was pretty good - not gourmet, but good, and the Owner or Manager was delightful. Service was good and there were plenty of menu options. The restaurant overlooks the Alameda estuary, so that made the atmosphere even nicer. We enjoyed our meal very much and will be going back when the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

   Great food, as usual. We like to stop here for lunch before an afternoon flight out of OAK. Our fish and chips were crispy and tasty. They recognized my wife's allergy and accommodated us in the closed downstairs dining area, because the upstairs pub area had complimentary peanuts and there were peanut shells on the floors. Our servers were kind and provided excellent service.

   We had read some bad reviews and were unsure what to expect. It turned out to be better than we thought. My seafood newburg dish was very good. The service was good and had a good view of the Alameda bay. I would go back.

   I made reservations for our son and husband's birthdays and noted it on the reservation request and James our server, remembered them with birthday cake slices, one chocolate and one lemon, no charge and even sang Happy Birthday with a candle on it. Fried calamari was light and crispy not greasy! The entrees were good: crab stuffed salmon, royal cod, paella and steamed mussel and clams. The dressing for the side salad was vinaigrette but it was too sour.

   I have been going to Quinn’s since I was 19 years old and now I am 63. It is one of those places that just calls to you and when you go, it feels so very comfortable. The food is great and one of my favorites is the bucket of clams and mussels. Cocktails could use a little lift, but the beers are great. The staff has changed over the years but all new incoming staff are just as friendly. Our waiter who’s name I cannot recall, was the best I have seen anywhere. He as attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and his demeanor was just wonderful. I will be going to Quinn’s for long as it is there, or for long as I am around... :-)

    No acknowledgement of birthday. Waiter forgot drink orders and forgot side dish with a meal. Other waiter did not provide a member of our table with water upon request nor did our glasses or bread baskets remain adequately refreshed. Food in of itself was quite good and the host of the restaurant ensured that a table was promptly available for our party of five adults and three children upon our arrival.

    The crab.cake has too much bread crumbs. The chowder was not even hot nor warm. The clam n mussels are okay.. but the paella is the worst.

    Our food was good. The service was slow and we had three different waiters so it felt like no one owned the service at our table. They comped our desert and apologized for the slow service. Great location! We love dining by the water.

    Car window was smashed in across the street from Quinn’s while I was dining. Staff acknowledged it is a problem. Probably will not be going back...especially in the evening. Food was ok. Service was fast. This just ruined the evening.

    The only food about this restaurant is the water view. The food was awful. We ordered the Caesar salad, steak and seafood stew. Steak was dry and covered w too much sauce. The stew was horrible, too salty and no flavor

    Quinn's has a split personality. The upstairs is a rockin pub with peanuts on the tables where you dispose of the shells on the floor. It has screens around the room showing the sport of the evening. It has a great view of Oakland's Inner Harbor and a great sunset. It's only 8 minutes from Jack London Square. Downstairs is dining with soft lights, soft music and great service. The menu is a variety of food from sandwiches and burgers to elegant entrees. I had the Chicken Marsala which had a wonderful flavor and an abundance of mushrooms smothering juicy, tasty chicken breasts. Garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables finish off the dish. We had reservations but went arrived early and so we could go up to the pub for a cocktail, take in the unique atmosphere of the pub and watch the sun go down. It was fun. People that sat near us were friendly and offered a bit of conversation about the football game that was on at the time. They serve food upstairs as well as downstairs. We then went downstairs to have an upscale meal on our way to a night out at the theater. We'll go again.

    We have been to Quinns several times in the last few months and every occasion was a pleasure. Servers Dave and James are outstanding and totally entertaining. The muscles in any preparation are well worth the visit and the fish and chips were excellent. We will definitely Return to this restaurant many times in the future. The building is historic and a total delight and the marina is always interesting.

    Loved our server, David. Chowder and mussels were very good. Fish and chips and Halibut entrees were very nicely done. The building and interior decorations were festive and interesting (it was holiday time. Highly recommend.

    I made a reservation but didn’t need one the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We had a party of four, seated right away and had a fantastic view of the marina. Three out of four in our party opted for the clam chowder. Their clam chowder is awesome! Creamy, not flowery tasting, loaded with potatoes and of course clams, everyone enjoyed their clam chowder. I opted for the buffalo burger. I ordered it medium but it came out well done. It was dry, tasteless and not seasoned at all. I was not happy. I would order seafood dishes at this particular restaurant as they seem to specialize in seafood.

    Great selection of dishes. All 4 members of our party enjoyed what they ordered. The portions were very generous and the service was very attentive. The only disappointment were the desserts. We ordered 2, but neither one was very good. I would definitely return.

    This is a very casual dining experience. The building is old and run down. We went for dinner and got exactly what we expected. Food was good, not expensive and the environment was low key and casual. Our waiter was great. He was friendly, nice and went out of his way to make sure we happy and comfortable. This is the type of place you go when you want a table quickly and food that is reliable but not over the top. We have been for lunch as well. Great to sit outside on a sunny day.
