Great food, wonderful view, really good service, large portions, rustic atmosphere
This is a perfect escape. Sitting on the water feels like we are on vacation. Wonderful service so we can focus on each other and healthy perfect meal. Priced right too.
Enjoyed the fried seafood appetizer platter. Great complimentary sour dough bread. Paella and fish & chips were delicious. The clam linguine should have been more favorable, needed more spices or salt.
Very attentive service and ambience of the marina.
We stayed on Shaun's yacht just in front of the restaurant. The views were great, as were the staff. The food choices were excellent and the portions gigantic! They have good daily offers on beer and food too. Only annoying thing was that we went again the very next night and the place was closed.......for no obvious reason but would definitely recommend!
Great service! Everyone was very attentive and smiling and nice! The food was exquisite! Def recommend this restaurant. Will be returning!
Ribeye cooked perfectly. Sauces for both entrees were delicious. Chocolate cake improved, although still a bit too dry.
Love Quinn's... downstairs Sunday brunch was VERY quiet at 11:00. Had great sitting in front of their beautiful windows downstairs. Food was quiet good, the omeletes yummy and the coconut crunchy shrimp were perfect!
Upstairs you have a more casual peanut shell on the floor kinda place, and adore their outdoor patio on the waters of the estuary. Great place to stop for a cocktail, sandwich, appetizer. So different sections of restaurant depending what you are in the mood for... nicer more elegant downstairs, casual bar type atmosphere upstairs, and then the outdoor patio with the water view. Prices are reasonable too.
Great views, terrific ambiance, food prepared by a chef, not a quick cook, superb service. A little pricey but for the quality of the experience, OK.
Had the most wonderful time with my girlfriend for our anniversary! The service was amazing, and we actually had the same waiter from our anniversary last year. I got the fish and chips and she got the prawns, both were spectacular (although the prawns could have been a bit more spicy) we both got knob creek and coke and they were really well made. All together the experience was amazing and we couldn't ask for more! They also sent us home with a free piece of cheesecake with was to die for. Thanks again and we look forward to coming back.
Quinns is one of our favorite places! Ask for James...best waiter in the world! We highly recommend Quinns! AMAZING seafood and plenty of other choices.
A character restaurant with a good choice of food on the menu. The service was quite good and the food was hot and edible. Not the best restaurant I've ever been to but looked the best for the area. The ducks hanging about under the windows for titbits was quite novel. The tables felt quite sticky and the chairs needed a good clean.
This is a historic building and a fine dining destination. Rivals other seafood restaurants in then Oakland and San Francisco area, but with better value and no parking issues. The mussels, fish & chips and Monetary ling cod were wonderful. Great selection of draft beers. Our waiter, James, was outstanding. We are going back again tonight.
love the seafood and love the location and view. We have been coming to Quinns for over ten years.
We are from East Bay, in Contra Costa county
Excellent food and even better service. If you go here to eat ask for James, he's the best!
The service is always wonderful. Reg older gentleman is quite professional. Good is consistently tasty.
Quinn's was a fun environment to walk into with a cute dining area and beautiful view of the Bay, but this is where the enjoyment ended. The food quality was some of the worst I've experienced. The food was stale, appeared old and reheated, and the quantity was abysmal. The fries were soggy and tasted like they were microwaved. The kids mac and cheese looked like it came from a box. The food was way overpriced. The cheapest menu item was an $18 burger and side salad, and the side salad was literally a balled up single piece of lettuce with a single grape tomato on top. I would NEVER go back to this place, especially for how overpriced it is.
On vacation in area. Happened upon this gem. Our waiter was phenomenal ! Wonderful seafood so fresh.
The seafood pasta was excellent. However my meal maui maui was dried out . The asparagus isn't in season and taste was not good. It was our 52 anniversary and notify them when we made reservation but nothing special was done to acknowledge it. The calamari was terrible. All batter dry little calamari. The service was excellent an we didn't want to complain because Dave was great.
We were celebrating our Anniversary and our server James was excellent
Service was slow. Food overrated
Great place to sit outside, overlooking the estuary, mimosa in hand. Peanut shells crunch underfoot all the way to your seat. (This is a very bad place for someone with peanut allergies.)
My very first time dining at Quinn's. I ate upstairs which may have been a mistake. It was Sunday brunch and I had a reservation for 11 am which is their opening time on Sunday. Upstairs the floors were already covered in peanut shells at opening time which means they were left from the day (s) before. That indicated to me that the restaurant hadn't been cleaned. Our server attempted to be attentive but his intentions weren't always achieved. I ordered a bloody Mary and eggs Benedict and both were sub mediocre. I've had much better at Dennys.
Great food, reasonable pricing, great location and excellent service always provided my James. Thank you James and Sun.
We highly recommend Quinn’s Lighthouse for great dining and excellent service by the staff. Bo
Our waiter is always the same person. He is efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable
He will be missed
Quinn's is an awesome spot for great food and terrific views over the water. Our waiter James did a great job taking care of us. We will definitely be back!
A casual, nautical atmosphere. Good food in very generous portions. My martini was perfectly made to my specifications.
Great setting, excellent service, extensive menu. Food was so-so.
This is one of the best kept secrets for true Oakland natives. It's got a great genuine old school vibe. This place has some of the best views of any restaurant the East Bay. Food is delicious with generous portions. Service is always friendly and on point. Bar upstairs is always fun and laid back.
Service was excellent. One of us order steak. Would not recommend the steak. Not cooked correctly and was full of gristle. Fish was good.
Great tasty good and amazing service! Will return and recommend!
Definitely recommend this place. I thought it was going to be loud and jam-packed with people, I guess 11:00am is considered too early for brunch - good! The ambience, service and excellent food made one father feel very special. Thank you
I found this place on Open Table and we went last night for Father’s Day. We got the best table overlooking the Embarcadero. The food was great and the service was better! Great experience!
Server was good, but food was okay and place was dirty! Even my husband who’s more relaxed about cleanliness thought it was in need of some upkeep.
Great for lunch
First time back to Quinn’s in a long time - a little worn and in need of updating, but still inviting. Fish and chips were above average, and the fish special (fresh cod sauté) was tasty. Easy parking, great view of the estuary. Our waitperson was attentive and personable. Would return if in the area.
Thought I would try this place out. There are many things on the menu I probably made the mistake of ordering the Jambalya. It tasted like they used Ragu spaghetti sauce and mixed it with hotdogs and unveined shrimp. Keep in mind this is only one item on the menu I’m sure there’s a lot of delicious food here I just chose the wrong one.
I made our rez's thru Open Table; I payed the bill by AMEX + tip; later that day I realized I should receive 100 points and called the cafe; very noisy but was informed that points were applied. Nowhere was I formally notified of this either on my receipt or by the waiter. May I suggest you implement a program o your billing to do so?
We had the best service.
The restaurant was nearly empty for dinner. We waited for a table for more than five minutes and no one attempted to seat my party and I. Despite having a notice posted at the entrance, '' please wait to be seated". When it appeared no one was available to seat us, we attempted to seat our selves, we were sardonically instructed to wait to be seated. The person who finally seated us, seemed anxious and was rather aggressive. Our waiter was noticeably uneasy when taking our orders as if he was in fear of his life. Fortunately, waiters don't carry weapons or it may have been or last supper.
