Queensview Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The directions from this site was misleading.....the restaurant was definitely not where the directions led but we found our way.....valet wasn’t available and the parking was very full so I would suggest opening that up a little....the food was good...service was good but not great....I would have preferred a little more attention for the price of the menu....overall I would recommend this place...the steaks were great!
The food was fantastic. The quality of the meat was great and the preparation was perfect. The location is one of the best in Long Beach overlooking the water and with a view of the Queen Mary ship. You will be delighted with the food quality, service and location. A truly memorable dining experience.
The 3rd level of Parker’s lighthouse is a wonderful venue for this separate steakhouse. Mike our server was wonderful, everything just perfect for our anniversary. Because the room is somewhat intimate, the band created a bit louder than normal noise level. That being said everything was on point.
This was our anniversary and they didn’t disappoint. There was an anniversary card signed by the staff when we arrived. The view was beautiful, the service was exceptional, the food was delicious with very generous portions, cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive but not intrusive and allowed us to linger. It was a memorable evening. We will definitely return.
We had been to Parker's Lighthouse several times, but this was our first visit to Queensview Steakhouse. On the 3rd level of Parker's Lighthouse, the small, octagonal shape of Queensview Steakhouse adds to the intimate feel. It has its own bar and dedicated kitchen open to the dining room. The panoramic views of Shoreline Village, Long Beach Harbor and the Queen Mary can't be beat. They even had a live jazz band performing. The bar had two TVs, which allowed us to keep track of the NFL playoff game. Unlike Parker's, which highlights primarily seafood, Queensview highlights primarily steaks and chops. I must admit, I have had much more flavorful steaks elsewhere. But the staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. My wife and I chose to share an 18oz ribeye and accompany that with two 6oz lobster tails. At first, we were told they could only add one lobster tail per entree, and suggested we get the 11oz tail to share instead. The waiter later came back and said that not only would they add the additional lobster we wanted, but that the kitchen would divide our steak for us and present our meals on separate plates so we would not have to mess with cutting it up ourselves. Along with our steak, we ordered the potato gratin and lobster mac & cheese. The potato gratin was okay. Not sure if it included sweet potato or not, but tasted like it did. The lobster mac & cheese was very good. A little heavy on the herbs, but had plenty of lobster and cheese. The highlight of the meal, however, was the lobster bisque. Phenomenal! Thick, rich and full of generous chunks of lobster. Perhaps the best I've had. Usually, we would share starters so that we have room to try other menu items, but this time we were both happy we opted for our own bowls. A meal for two with drinks could easily run $200-300. But if money is no object, or you don't mind paying for a unique dining experience for a special occasion, consider giving Queensview steakhouse a try.
We would have had an great experience at this restaurant but they failed on 3 occasion. A few of their signature courses were out. We had an 8 pm dinner reservation and only to be told that they were sold out. Our waiter told us they were out of the Ribeye Steaks, I then ordered the Pork Chops only to be told they also were sold out. We were disappointed especially at the price point they are at. I couldn't even get a cappuccino their machine was broken they had to get one from Parker's downstairs. This was a real disappointment for us all.
While the service was excellent our 10 oz fillets, while perfectly cooked, were prepared with way too much salt. The thee of us concluded perhaps the fillets had been brined. The briny flavoring was also extended to the asparagus and spinach sides. If this was the garlic butter sauce I would highly recommend diners be asked ahead of time if this should be excluded from the preparation.
We attended the restaurant for new year and it was amazing. Amazing steak, amazing service, amazing music, a fantastic way to start the new year!!
The only thing I would have pefered as a non fish eating person was an alternative to fish on the first 2 courses.
All the years we have lived in Long Beach this was our very first visit to Queensview - I wish we hadn't waited SO long! It was a delightful evening from start to finish - the service, the food and the view is pretty spectacular! Our go-to for a nice steak & seafood restaurant has long been 555 East, but their service has waned over the last few visits. We will certainly be back to Queensview!
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I had the pork chop, it was excellent. The asparagus and baked potato were delicious. The only negative was it is loud and even louder when the musicians are playing. Overall, it was a great dinner and I can’t complain about the beautiful view.
