Queen Mary Champagne Sunday Brunch
Wrapped in the elegant grace of the Grand Salon and featuring live entertainment, the Champagne Sunday Brunch has the air of a royal soiree and is anything but typical.
Valet-parking: $15 with validation (up to 3 hours)/$27 all-day valet parking
The ambience was the best part the food was so so nothing to rave about which was disappointing based on the cost so you’re basically paying for the experience of saying you’ve been to the Queen Mary. Also no outside seating which was disappointing since you’re on the water the most outside you’ll see is a porthole which still made it OK but again the value for what you pay is off-balance at a minimum your parking should be fully covered or validated but it wasn’t and not that it’s too much of a big deal but even the bathrooms were like yikes at a “fine dining” establishment. Go for just drinks and appetizers at home one of the many restaurants don’t pay full price for brunch it simply isn’t worth it you can find many other places to have much better food and be happy that you got what you paid for.
Enjoyed the whole champagne brunch experience, the captain's visit to our table, and the scenic walk around the ship afterwards. So much to explore inside the Queen Mary!
The food was meh....similar to Hometown Buffet food and wayyyyy over priced! :(
I was shocked at the awesome brunch buffet. Its literally the entire ballroom dance floor. Its pricey but very worth it for a special occasion We were there for Father's Day brunch. It is definitely a top-notch experience, with tuxedo'd waiters, free-flowing champagne & mimosas and endless choices with a "around-the-world" sort of theme to fit with the cruise ship atmosphere. There's a live jazz band to go with the theme too.
The best part is that if you consider that it normally costs $35 to get on the ship (without dining reservations) the buffet is only about $15 per person, on a normal Sunday.
They have been pouring money into refurbishing The Queen Mary and revising the experience on board and this is a fantastic addition!
Father's Day brunch was wonderful, and probably the best we ever had.
The Queen Mary Brunch is a nice place to celebrate a special occasion. The food was ok, i enjoyed the variety of food choices. The food taste was nothing spectacular. I expected more flavor for the price point per person. There were a few issues i was unsatisfied about. The dining area is on the second floor and only 1 elevator was working. There was a long wait for this. Another thing the host at check in wasn't friendly and the lines were long for check in. They should of had more hosts for check in and train the host to be well groomed in being customer service oriented. Other then those things everything else was fine.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Queen Mary for Father's Day brunch 2018. The ambience, live music, and included tour of the Queen Mary is what made it worthwhile, not the food. For the price ($70 per person), I would expect higher quality. The prime rib, brisket, crepes, and the dessert table were all amazing. It was a nice touch to offer King crab legs already cut open and ready to eat; however, they were small and cold (even the butter was cold). The service was wonderful...my mimosa was refreshed several times! Still, there were several items that were cafeteria quality at best; both the Mexican and Chinese options were average, as were the pastas and salads. The kids and the hubby appreciated the variety of food available, and after we ate, being able to tour the ship with the family is what made the day so special. Please just don't go expecting gourmet cuisine.
The food was good, great selection, the variety was nice, but the price was a little high. For a once in a great while experience, it's OK. But to go on a regular basis, I would not enjoy the price. Was the price increased for Father's Day?
The ambiance of the Queen Mary is spactacular. However the food was mediocre and in my opinion not worth the price.
It was overprice. I guess we was paying for the historical value of the Queen Mary.
Brunch at the Queen Mary for Father's Day is a treat. Buffet service in the large dining hall was enjoyable for the variety and quality of food offerings. All selections, except the eggs benedict, were fresh and many were make-to-order. The wait staff was never more than seconds away to refill your glass and cup or whisk used tableware away to replace with new. Aisleways were wide enough for persons needing assistance and assistance was always available.
Father’s Day run h probably the best buffet I have ever been to a little expensive but worth it
Tons of choices and staff was amazing! My glass was never empty. Definitely recommend!
The best quality food, ambiance, first class service buffet.
I’ve been here at least 15 times and they are consistently good each and every time we come back.
They had a jazz group this time for a change and it was wonderful, the food is so nicely decorated and they have so much class while serving, I highly recommend it
Food was ok. Lots of variety which is great. Scrambled eggs to custom omelette, crepes, sushi and hand carved meats. If you move never been, go. You get to see treehe ship after which is worth the trip. For just any occasion, dont bother. $60 bucks for fatty meats, sushi that falls apart and tasteless eggs Benedict. Bottomless mimosas is nice if you can get your waiters attention. That was the case with us and ended up having other servers take our plate. I won't return unless special occasion and someone else pays. Nice live jazz quartet gave atmosphere though.
Best brunch I ever Had! The buffet was large and every single dish was crafted to perfection! The staff was extremely attentive, helpful, and experienced! The ambiance in the large room was delightful! Well worth the price we will be returning!
It was the first time I have been there in a long time. Little bit more casual now but it was still very good. Afterwards we went to the bar.
There was an excellent range of food to choose from so that there was something that appealed to everybody. Beverages - juice/water/champagne/coffee all had to be ordered from a waiter and service was slow. We had to go to find waiters a couple of times to ask for refills. Otherwise everything was great.
Everything about our time here was perfect. Very good service, great food.
Outstanding food. Don’t usually enjoy buffets because of typically mediocre food, but this is a true exception. Great service & actually decent sparkling wine for the all you can drink bubbly. Loved our experience.
This is an extravagance and well
There should be more than two elevators going to the 2nd floor. Maybe the locked chain should be removed from the stairway so one can walk up instead of waiting for an elevator. I was not happy to see people being called to be seated when I arrived first and had a reservation. One of the chairs at my table had frayed fabric and when I asked for ketchup, the waiter brought me a bowl with a spoon with a piece of rice on it. For 59.99 pp, you would expect to have updated chairs and clean utensils. Aside of those technicalities, listening to the band was soothing and the food was great. There was a selection of Chinese, Mexican, breakfast, salads, seafood, a carving station, and desserts. I really enjoyed the food and so did my guest. The waiters were really good about keeping the Mimosa flowing and clearing the dishes from the table. I would love it if the pasta station was brought back.
The food and service were fantastic! It exceeded my expectations!
Went for Birthday Celebration.
Line with reservations moved quickly, people without reservations also quickly accamodated. Food was plentiful in buffet and empty dishes quickly replaced.
Table service was quick and friendly - Empty plates wisked away and drinks were constantly refilled.
Carving station, breakfast stations and many tables of yummy offerings!
Ship is amazing to explore and made for a wonderful stroll after our meal.
Great place, for Sunday brunch.
The waitress and all the servers were great.
Great service from your Servers. They were attentive and making sure we were doing Great. We loved the music too.
At $60 per person, I didn’t expect to be packed like sardines in a giant room. Getting to the queen Mary and parking is inconvenient. Finding the brunch on the ship was more difficult than it should have been. The service was as good as it could be for a buffet with 500 people. There was LOTS of mediocre food but hardly worth the price.
My Goddaughters 21st birthday celebration and it was truly a wonderful experience. Absolutely incredible food choices and our servers were amazing attending our every need and glass! We will be returning for our 30th wedding anniversary. FANTASTIC
Absolutely the finest brunch I have ever been to. The food is delicious, the service superb and the ambiance is exquisite. Just go.
This is a beautiful, historic ship. That being said, don’t expect a window seat with a view. There are only portholes high up. Enjoy the wonderful woodwork and details instead. The food is lavish as you would expect on a cruise ship and the quality couldn’t be better. The service is outstanding. The live music was just right. It wasn’t full yet when we were there so the noise level was very acceptable.
Brings back memories
Was decent brunch. Similar caliber to other good brunch spots. The ship's historical significance made it even more special
This was an amazing brunch. It surpassed the hype. The food was delicious! The ambiance was incredible! The service was fantastic! Will definitely revisit in the near future.
Arturo was so awesome he made sure to come around and fill our glasses. At first when they sat us in the corner we thought we would be neglected but he took good care of us and was very attentive. He made sure the other servers offered us coffee and tea for those of us that did not drink. The service was awesome. I did feel like the menu had its high and low points and could be a little more diverse but overall it was a really nice afternoon with friends and the music was nice. i would definitely come back
Expected the quality of food to be better. Choices that were on the Open Table menu were not offered at the buffet(Turkey or Ham, what buffet doesn’t serve that?). Service was on point though, champagne was flowing everywhere.
Being on the ship is the FUN part. I found the food rather ordinary and mostly cold, even though the food I chose from the buffet should have been hot. The champagne was delish. It's not worth the price.
Took my mother for her birthday everything was perfect from the staff to the food to the live music this place was incredible!
Fantastic, the service was on point. Made us feel like VIP's, never had a half empty glass. Wait staff had juice and champagne on hand at all times. Even checked up on some ingredients because of food allergies. Our meals were fantastic and the music and ambiance took us back in time. We plan to be back soon.
We've been coming to Sunday brunch for many years and were quite disappointed at the food selection on our last visit. It was pretty much Mexican food, which I cannot eat. There was not any offer of white meat (chicken/turkey), only prime rib and ribs at the carving station. Not a fan of seafood either, so my options were very limited. Service was excellent, but food options would preclude that we will not be back. VERY DISAPPOINTED! NOT an inexpensive dining experience to eat cheese and crackers!
