Queen Mary Champagne Sunday Brunch Ratings and Reviews
Very disappointed. We had been to the brunch several years ago and I remember liking the food and the ambiance. We went to celebrate New Years day and a birthday and I couldn't be more disappointed by the whole experience. The boat was worn down and the brunch hall looks dumpy and unkempt, the chairs old and the windows so dirty. The food was good but there was not a huge deal to choose from in comparison to the price. With tax and service and tip it turns out to be about $80 per person. We paid over $450 dollars for 4 people. Soooo overpriced vs the experience. The place was like 3/4 empty and the wait staff although friendly didn't really go above and beyond to make it any better. They couldn't even remember what each person was drinking at our table and kept asking every single time what it was. The harpist playing was really nice just really hard to see in the middle of the buffet tables. The kid food options were super unhealthy and looked uneatable. Not worth the money $ if it was less per person maybe it would be Ok for a brunch but at such a high price I would expect the place to at least be more up to par and better kept up.
We were pleased with our experience. The food quality was high, given the number of people being served, and the service was EXCELLENT. Our only regret was that our table wasn’t closer to the harpist who was playing — but we did like being in a quieter part of the salon.
Selection of food was very good and very tasty. Would have given it a five star but the food that was supposed to be hot was just warm or room temperature. The all you can eat crab legs were on the cold side of the room which I’ve never had before and would prefer them to be hot.
So bottom line $80 a person for warm food is not something I would do again.
A wonderful experience as in times past. A nostalgic event accompanied with a lovely harp player. We did miss the chocolate fondue tower though. Service was on point. So glad to take my children and mother along. Would love to come stay as a guest eventually.
Three of us enjoyed Thanksgiving champagne brunch in 2016. Ten of us celebrated Christmas brunch in 2017. We were very pleased with both occasions. Coincidentally, Martin took care of us on both occasions. He was very attentive and kept our glasses full, removed plates quickly. The harpist playing adds to the Queen Mary grand ballroom experience. The food is good and so many choices to choose from, but to be in the vintage ballroom adds to the ambiance, making it a very special memory. We felt comfortable, not being rushed to get out. We sat at a round table and able to hear the person across from us. We had a grand ballroom experience.
Great Dining Experience!
We were able to get seated right away even though we were 30 minutes early which was nice. Food was great overall although the crab legs (which LOOKED great ) were cold and very watery. (Like they had been frozen and just defrosted so lots of moisture throughout the meat.) Would have been much better warmed and with drawn butter! Also eggs bendict was over-cooked and cold. (A disappointment as something I look forward to at a brunch. ) All of your sausages were FABULOUS! Tortellini was great as was Hawaiian shrimp dish and Mexican food. Nice cheeses and meats. Staff were pleasant. No long lines at stations waiting your turn which was also very nice particularly because it was Christmas day so thought it would have been very very busy. Nice large room with authentic and festive atmosphere. Harpist was a very nice touch. THANK-YOU FOR A memorable Christmas meal!
The D. family of 4 adults.
The Christmas Buffet was better than we expected, so it was a pleasant surprise. Nicely arranged by the cultural themes of the world. The setting was very lively with the elegant harp in the middle of it all. Nice touch by the crew and the Captain - utterly enjoying himself among his guests. A photo op at every table! Wunderbar!
The Christmas brunch is something i go to every year, great variety buy disappointed there was no fondue. They had the fondue items and when i asked where was the fondue they said i had to go over to the crepe section and ask for the hot fudge - thats not fondue!!
This was the third Christmas Buffet my family has attended. Great food, service and ambiance.
The only draw back this year was the parking and drop off and pick up of guests. That was non-existent. As a person with limited walking abilities, I doubt I will be able to return unless something changes next year. What valet????? and where ?????
WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! AND THEN AFTER WE SERVED OURSELVES AT THE BUFFET YOU HAD THE GALL TO ASK FOR S TIP TO THE PERSON GETTING US OUR WATER SND COFFEE! For three people our bill was 197.00 and with our own value left our busboy 10.00 tipAND THEN YOU MADE US PAY 8.00 for PARKING!!!!!! If You look at your past data you’re going to find a declining amount of people coming to your branches you’ve overpriced yourself making us have to pay for parking which was free before is going to market you right out of the business it won’t be long before your brunch is our history. I will never recommend your brunch to anyone!
