I’m appreciative that they changed our appointment from 1800 to 1830 via email when contacted. It was blocked out otherwise.
Our first family dinner with two UT kids in a year. So hoped it would be a good one but not too “boujee” for our clan.
Overall - nice place and food was good.
Small bar and I made the mistake to ask for Bombay Safire martini. Two signature cocktails came out for two of us and were consumed before I finally asked about mine, reordered it and found out they couldn’t make it. This was blamed on the bartender not arriving on time; but that does not match up for having to repeat my first order a second time only to be told well after that they could not make it. So I got a beer to avoid any further issues.
That’s when the pizza and salad came out. Ahead of our appetizers that arrived a bit after that. I am not a stickler for a small error but getting the pizza (margarita - basic which was ok at best, thin crust and well cooked in a proper pizza oven) made me point out the sequence issue, which were blamed on the kitchen (again) but we seemed stuck so we let it ride receiving more hurried apologies.
Overall : fair to good.
Calamari Frito was liked by one of us with a good spicy marinara but my take was calamari was very salty.
Caprese salad was fresh mozzarella with halved cherry tomatoes and one leaf of basil : little dressing and not very much to it (no balsamic for instance). Disappointed. Cherry tomatoes? Bland. Don’t recommend.
Spicy pork chop was reported good; but chewy. The sauce was very good. For the special (-)
Mussels marinara and sauté spinach were very good.
My penne arrabiotta was good.
The main issue - to my mind - was coordination and follow up; the place was only at 2/3 capacity as far as I could see; and that although the waiter fluttered by to see if all was ok (staying far away from me) never did anyone else ask, stop to talk about our meal or issues, not once. It was clear I was unhappy with what went down.
The place is bustling. It's narrow, I like it, doesn't feel like Texas.
Our waitress was fast, great, friendly.
All the staff were hustling.
I got the pesto linguine and it was perfect.
The pizza looked beautiful, but I didn't try it.
It's a great place to have a lively dinner with friends.
Food was good. Restaurant was super hot for some reason. Nice people. I would recommend it.
Needed a place for 12 people. Gianfranco was very accommodating and made sure we had enough seating for our party. The food was outstanding. Being an east coast guy, it’s hard to find good Italian that matches NY/NJ. QUATTRO offers NYC quality Italian food. I highly recommend it.
The waitress was so nice, but ill informed on liquor and wine choices. The capresi salads were fabulous, but the caesar had far too much dressing on it. FAR too much. The taste was delicious, however. The carbonara was good--above average--but a bit bland. Maybe add more garlic?
The food and service were excellent and we enjoyed our meal very much.
Food was good, decently priced for Italian. Pizza and bruschetta were especially good. Retail markup on wine was steep. Service was mediocre, we had to flag our server down for basically everything we needed. We might return, but probably not for a while.
we had a lovely dinner here - excellent food, great location. We love Italian food and this definitely had the quality and authenticity we look for. Would definitely recommend and go back again!
Friendly service and good food. Treated us very well.
I made a special request, and they had no problem accommodating me.
Absolutely incredible!! Cannot recommend this place enough. The specials are always amazing and the cannoli was the best way to end the meal. Owners are always very nice and make sure to come by the table and check in.
Good and service were both terrific. Pizza outstanding. A large group was present that was very loud.
The food was good, just not great. I think this place has a lot of potential. The location is fantastic. They just need to upgrade the food and service a little and they could really make some noise.
We had a great time at Quattro Gatti for our semi-annual team meeting. The food was excellent, with light, tasty pasta, and beautiful pizza. The service was really good and the restaurant is ideally located on Congress right by the Capitol. Definitely look forward to going again!
Service and food was delicious!
Did not disappoint. Dinner was excellent. We split a Margherita pizza and the spicy pork chop, both of which were delicious! The roasted peppers and anchovies dish for an appetizer was good, as was the cured meat board, which came with some thinly sliced roasted vegetables that were incredible. For dessert, the tiramisu was probably the best I've had. It was light and airy, and was the perfect finish. The service was just what you'd hope for, and the chef even stopped by the table and thanked us for coming in, which was a nice touch. The only thing that was lacking was the wine selection, but everything else made up for it. We will absolutely be going back.
Food was excellent. Service was congenial and delightful. Ambiance was very hospitable and pleasant. We are repeat clients and will keep coming back.
The food is great and the service is attentive. We love the hospitality of John Franco's hospitality. There are many great pasta's to choose from. The tortellini alla panama's and the bolognese are very authentic. They have great specials every day. I like the choices of wine from many Italian regions.
Very nice family owned restaurant. Food was authentic and service was wonderful. Chef/owner even came and chatted. That doesn’t always happen!
Fast service . Get the pizza as a appetizer. So tasty !
Food, service, and ambience are simply the best and what keep us going back. The quality organic produce makes each dish delicious. And best tiramisu in Austin!
This was a great find during our Austin trip. Great atmosphere, drinks and food!
The waiter was
The restaurant was fantastic. From the personable, friendly and inviting staff to the amazing high quality and authentic food! We visited from Ireland and we could not have been made feel more welcome! The whole experience was intimate and the food was delicious..try the fettuccine bolognese!!! I can’t wait to come back and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!
The food and ambience was good but our waiter Alex was phenomenal! He was considerate, respectful, and knew how to make us feel welcome and have an enjoyable experience.
Everything was delicious from the cocktails to the pizza and pasta. Great service and good vibe.
Great authentic food! Service team was friendly and positive. Really enjoyed our experience.
I took out of town guests as it is one of my favorite places and usually quite good. Our server was terrible. Took our order after 30 min. Then 30 min later told us they were out of clams for the pescatore. The replacement dish was rushed and below average.
Had a wonderful dinner- shared the montanara pizza and then had the linguine pescatore and the house made gnocchi. All were out of this world. Loved the music and the vibe. Our server was very personable and quite attentive. We will be back soon!
Our Fav Italian Restaurant in Austin. A Hidden gem. Excellent food, carefully watched over by the owner.
The fettuccine presto was to die for! The salmon dish was fresh and seasoned to perfection. I’ll be back soon.
The food was delicious. I would've appreciated drink covers and plate covers since there were lots of flies outside. Also the ambiance inside doesn't carry to the outside seating area.
Amazing food and ambiance, we really loved it and highly recommend it.
I had a very long hair in my pizza so I couldn’t eat anything from there but my friends said the food they had was not that good so we would probably not visit again. The service was fine and they apologized for the hair and removed it off the bill.
The place was not particularly clean overall either.
Best authentic Italian restaurant in Austin!
Great choice for large groups. Food and drink came fast, service was attentive for a big party and prices and menu were approachable for all.
Excellent food and presentation.
Absolutely delicious! We had mussels marinara, the meatball app, plus daily specials. The food quality was outstanding. Service was also great. Highly recommend.
Great place- excellent food & service!! 😀
