Quails' Gate Estate Winery - Old Vines Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Went out with our daughter and boyfriend who loves wine and has never been to Quails Gate. Always an enjoyable evening at the restaurant. New menu was great and the wine selections are outstanding. Some very prized Pinot noir's are available. Highly recommended to others. Book early however to get your times on the weekend. Boyfriend was impressed but now probably spoiled!
We celebrated our anniversary in-style! Even though it was raining, the views of the vineyard were outstanding, and the food was fabulous. The Ling Cod fettuccine was done to perfection and the Cache Creek Beef Tartine was an awesome sandwich. Our server, Kerri, was great...there when we needed her but not being a nuisance. We will return!
The food was amazing. We shared a bunch of appy's and couldn't be more pleased. The foie Gras was incredibly delicious as were the truffle parmesan fries.
Our server Alanna was very knowledgeable and gave fantastic recommendations for wine pairings.
I will definitely eat at this place again next time I'm in the area.
Had the chicken and gnocchi - absolutely delicious and done perfectly. The sauce was divine perfect balance of olive and savoury, the gnocchi was the highlight with a tender middle and perfect sear. Appetizer and dessert were excellent as well - enjoyed wine and dinner, all courses were brilliant
Also appreciated the corner table the staff saved for us ! It was an excellent time and we were we super impressed, especially since this was our first visit to Kelowna
We had booked thru open table for dinner to celebrate a special occasion for my wife and I. The restaurant could not locate our reservation and even went so far as to question the validity of the email confirmation I had on my phone. It then took 2 associates to sort out if they could offer a table for us , faulting the open table reservation system as the problem. As a result we did not get the preferred seating I had requested and the experience left a bad impression for a restaurant of this calibre. Very Disappointing!
We had the steamed clams as an appetizer and then salmon + steak as entrees. All of the food was excellent quality. My husb has food allergies and they accommodated easily. Our server recommended a great wine and we found the wine list inexpensive for such a nice place. Will definitely return.
Amazing dinner at Quail's Gate! Excellent food and service. Very warm atmosphere. We had a great corner table which made it a lovely romantic evening. Went with the four-course Harvesr tasting menu. Everything was good. Soup was a little odd, though the dessert didn't taste like pumpkin at all which was unfortunate. (Less cranberry and more pumpkin!) We can't wait to come back.
We had the Fall Festival set menu with wine pairings. It is a four course meal with wine for 85 per person. The food was absolutely delicious. It was interesting and expertly prepared. Wine was well matched. Ver good value. Excellent service. Beautiful place. Casual elegant.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Okanagan. It has consistently provided great food, superb service, nice ambiance and of course a great view. Their wine is some of the best and pairs well with their food. Staff are knowledgeable. When put all together, the synergy creates a wonderful experience, which is why we have been going for 10-15 years.
We had the tasting menus. The potato soup was not great and I did not like the salad which seemed to have raw salmon in it.My husband had the rissoto which he said was ok.The Brisket and desert were good. The wines were really nice and the best part of the meal.
The restaurant is such a lovely setting...and beautiful inside. Sevice is always great. But for us the menu selection does not offer many dishes we like. We eat organic, healthy foods with very little meat. We had soup and salad for lunch. The tomato salad was delicious.
We enjoyed each of the courses selected and the wine pairings were excellent.
One of us selected the brisket as part of the 4 course set menu. 1/3 of the brisket was a very large inedible and unappealing pc of fat.
We had received a gift card and chose to use it this evening. In a not so subtle way to ensure we tipped appropriately, our server felt it necessary to remind us that the bill total did not include the gift card amount.
Time and time again this amazing restaurant delivers the most delicious food. I have been there three times in the last two weeks. Once for dinner, once for lunch and the third time for a wedding reception. Every time the food has been fantastic and the wait staff is beyond exemplary.
Fantastic lunch. All 4 entrees were beautifully presented and delicious...especially the ling cod and chicken entrees. We also had 4 different desserts...all were yummy but the " selection of special desserts " (the last item on the dessert menu) was our favorite.
